  You are on El capitan? El capitan is sometimes extremely slow to show you when you have added a file to a folder. This is probably, but it is simply not yet show it to you.   Looks like your destination folder does not have a full read and write permissions.

  Try to set the destination as a specific folder that contains all the permissions on your local or external drive, then, check.

• When you import images into the latest version of Lightroom CC why all my images become black so there's nothing to see?

  I tried to import by different methods.  I created an external file on my hard drive and put the RAW images in there and asked Lightroom to import from there.  I also simply asked Lightroom to import directly from the card to the camera.

  In both cases, I see the images on my screen but then one by one, they are converted to an image blackened with nothing at all.

  I tried to put pictures in development but that makes no difference, even using the adjustment sliders.

  I tried to export images from Lightroom in Photoshop CC.  There, I have a very dark version of the image.  While I suppose I could change it, I have no idea what the image before hand that I simply export a black image.

  This happened only since I've upgraded to the new version of Lightroom on CC.  Before that, I had no problem and went through the laborious effort of crating a new catalogue over 25,000 images... maybe it's a very small number of images in actual value, but for me it's a great thing.

  Sorry for the problems of import with Lightroom.

  Try this

  • Open Lightroom
  • Go to preferences - Presets and uncheck apply the automatic adjustment of the note
  • Restart LR
  • Now import images and see if it works

  Turning off graphics acceleration: go to Preferences, click the performance tab, and then clear the check box
