• Convert dnp3 modbus Protocol

  Hi all

  I am now having my device slave, who is a SALT 651 proctive relay, talk to the computer via Ethernet DNP3. I have a master model in LabVIEW to see the voltage and the frequency transmitted to the back of the relay.

  But right now I want to do this on Modbus TCP. I have following confusion:

  1. I did not find a Modbus driver, only to download a website Modbus Library of NOR. I am very confused how to replace these main subVIs DNP by Modbus subVIs. Tip to guide me or instrution would be much appreciated.

  2. for the first step, I've only "read" information. How do you know which registry or the coil, which is the address of the register and coil, which stores the value of the voltage and frequency that I want to read the SALT 651 slave?

  The code of Protocol DNP is attached. Any help is very appreciated!

  You can try to begin to understand how the modbus library is used by checking the examples from the example finder LabVIEW. More precisely:

• DNP3 (question of layer) Protocol

  Hello

  I'm pretty new with the DNP3 Protocol, so my question is probably pretty simple...

  If I use the NI LabVIEW Driver for antenna DNP3 Support, I will be able to communicate with a unit of «Serial DNP3 level 2 Salvo»?

  This is what is included in each layers that confuses me a little.

  For now, NEITHER DNP3 support remote station is kind of slave Mode. So you can not communicate with another slave at all.

  But we intend to support the Master Mode in the future.

• Is NEITHER-Industrial Communications for IEC 61850 covered by all NI Developer Suite?

  I downloaded OR-Industrial Communications for IEC 61850 14.0 and tried to activate it using my serial number for NI Developer Suite. However, I was said, "the following order numbers are not valid or do not correspond to their corresponding products.

  The same serial number was accepted for activation of OR-Industrial Communications for Ethernet/IP, so I thought that I would have access to all communication, including IEC 61850 toolboxes. Is it not the case? How can I check the toolkits are covered and which are not?

  1. the NO-Industrial Communications for EtherNet/IP is included in the Developer Suite, as mentioned JDizzle: http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/en/nid/202469

  2. the IEC 61850, DNP3 and IEC 60870 toolkit are not part of the Suite of developer.

  3. However, you can buy Electrical Power Suite Pro + amulet of usefulness of the protocols and it has the EPS Pro and IEC 61850 and DNP3.
