Dolby codec not installed

My mac lab running Adobe CC.  Recently, I ran by ARD RemoteUpdateManager for updating CC on these macs.  Now, users get the warning:DD.png

User profiles are deleted on logout, this error appears every time a user later edits AVCHD video or export audio in Dolby Digital.   Y at - it digital codec dolby I can download/install?  Or, I'm stuck having to create a new model of the user for each workstation...

When the Dolby file is imported or exported for the first time, SOUL installs the codec in the /Users/Shared/AdobeinstalledCodecs/1.0 folder in order to use the codec in the app.  If you delete this folder and files inside codec, you will see this dialog next time you import or export files Dolby again.

  • Media Player cannot play, need to video codec not installed. What codec? Where do I get it? How to install it?

Media Player cannot play, need to video codec not installed.  What codec?  Where do I get it? How to install it?

    Hello

The video codec that is required to decode and display the video can not be installed on your computer.

Today, there are hundreds of audio and video codecs in use. Some were created by Microsoft, but the vast majority of codecs have been created by other companies, organizations or individuals. By default, the Windows operating system and the player includes a number of the most popular codecs, such as MP3, Windows Media Audio and Windows Media Video.

    Method 1.
How to determine what codec is installed and how to install it automatically?
    a. to determine what codec was used with a specific file, play the file in the player, if possible. When the file is playing, right-click the file in the library, and then click Properties.
    b. on the file tab, look at the sections of video codec and Audio codec.
Download and install the Codecs by going to the PLAYER tab and check.
    c. connect you to the Internet and Download Codecs automatically.
For more information about codecs, see the articles below:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/codecs-frequently-asked-questions

    Method 2.
If you know the name of the codec or its ID (called a id FourCC for video codecs or a WaveFormat identifier for audio codecs), try the search on the Internet. Often, you can go to the codec manufacturer's Web site to download the latest version of a codec.

  • Import a file in MovieMaker in Vista 6.0 AVI says codec not installed not. What codec install for vista 6.0?

I converted a DVD file into an AVI file using software streamclip I downloaded specifically for windows. I saved the AVI file on an external hard drive - it plays, it is fine. When I try to import mm it said codec required 2 play is not installed. So instead of that, I installed Windows MovieMaker Live Movie and does not include when I try to import the AVI file with this version it says file might not be in a MM format or file is corrupted (which it isn't).

What version of Movie Maker should I use (with Vista) and how to know which version or type of codec, I have in my computer and then most recent codec that I have to install (I saw the WM9 codec on your website package). Help

  • File codec not installed

Since I've upgraded to Windows 7, I get a message every time I try to play a video that says that "Windows Media Player cannot play the file because the required video codec is not installed on your computer"

You need to install the codec for any video that you are trying to run. The codec more common are installed with Windows, but there are dozens of others. You the best solution would be to try to install an all-in-one pack and see if that covers you. Search the Web for k - lite codec pack, you should find many places available for download. It of free and is a good base of codec. James Wolf MS - MVP [Multimedia]
