  The current version of the iOS (9.2.1) requires a recent version of iTunes (12.3.2).  iTunes 12.3 requires at least OS X 10.8.5.

  Have you tried to close all programs and then insert the disc?

  Please make all below even if you have done some before as it is often the set of operations which solves
  the question.

  Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
  Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
  This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.

  Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
  ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and

  manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

  There is an apparent bug that causes the fuse download progress bar to stay at 0% until it is complete. Given that the fuse is a comprehensive program, it can take a long time to complete the download. How much time depends on your internet speed, but it can vary considerably.  For more information, see this discussion of the forum: fuse install stuck at 0%

  Since you have already given the download overnight, you use wireless internet? Move to a wired connection can help speed up the download process. In addition, if you are behind a firewall, you can disable it temporarily.

  I was dual-boot my computer with Windows Vista on it with Fedora 12 via a live dvd that I got installed. I kept only Vista because there are several programs that I use and are not able to be run on Fedora 12 no matter what I do (including the use of wine).   Linux boot partitions could have been corrupted. Therefore, you have to communicate with Linux to rebuild the Grub.

  Hello - fried my hard drive and I lost the recovery disc that is used to configure the computer.  Can I re - download a trail version and use the key code to activate windows vista?  Everything I see live is the download of service pack 2.

  Contact manufacturing and ask a set of recovery discs, if they have, it should be that causes a small fee.
