  -Looked at the pilots. Seems there isn't that one speaker driver RealTek High Definition Audio, worm 6.0.1.7300. It goes back to July, which I assume is when the laptop was packed. Oddly, it is also the last update from Acer, Acer so it lists as being up to date in November.

  There seems to be something with the audio driver. The dolby software is included in the audio driver from the factory delivered. To resolve this problem, try reinstalling the audio driver on the laptop. Here are the steps:

  Hold the Windows key and then press the C key to open the charms.

  Click on search and type "Recovery".

  Click on "Acer Recovery Management.

  Select reinstall drivers or Applications.

  Select the content and choose the audio codec and proceed to install it.

  In the case where you cannot install this driver, you can go to Device Manager and open "Audio, video and game controllers" and uninstall the driver audio current.

  Then follow the steps above to install the audio driver. It will work...

  I have the same problem that the link to the Lenovo was no help because I have no driver conexant to uninstall why is this so hard to fix problem I waste hours get nowhere with her she makes my useless computer simply because you can't keep drivers up to date

  Basically says error code software application like not the currently installed driver, and he has older drivers.

  Drivers are given by equipment manufacturers, and it is a problem with the driver that is currently installed.

  Try the suggestion and check them off below if it helps:

  1. From the desktop, press windows + R.
  2. Type devmgmt.msc, and then click ok.
  3. This will open the Device Manager, look for audio now and uninstall the audio device.
  4. Restart the computer once.

  I entered - you have a problem with the installation of the Dolby home theater V4.  You were able to uninstall the old driver, but do not install the updated driver.

  Dolby with drivers, I guess you are trying to update a driver from the HP website.

  I noticed that you got the message that you need to install first CESP but the installation fails.

  If this does not work I would try a HP PC - refresh your PC to solve problems (Windows 8)

  Try driver IDT HD Audio v6.10.6498.0 following sp65012.exe or sp65196.exe packages

  Just run a normally (i.e. necessary Win7 No. nor Win8 compatibility mode) and it should install the driver for audio 6498 IDT Win10 and restart the computer.

  Then after installing the audio driver IDT, search on google for the v7.2.7000.4 of the DolbyHomeTheater.msi file.

• Windows 10 Dolby Home Theater V4 does not

  On my Lenovo Edge 15 (BestBuy exclusive model), I've recently upgraded to Windows 10 and found that the Dolby Home Theater V4 software does not work. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the drivers and software and still cannot program to work. The program opens and displays options, but Equalizer does not move (as it was on Windows 8.1) and it doesn't have a difference in the audio output.

  All of this worked before my Windows 10 transition. The audio quality is very thin and hard to hear without this software, I hope someone has a solution. Thank you very much for your help!

  Dolby Home Theater is not supported / not functional on Windows 10, for compatibility reasons.
  The official recommendation is to first uninstall it before upgrading to Windows 10.

  Using the "Dolby Surround" Surround mode, I always get DD 5.1 but DD 1.0, 2.0, 2.1 DD DD and DD 2.1 ProLogic II content is currently sent as PCM "Stereo". If you go back between 'Auto' and 'Dolby Surround' modes, be aware that the TV4 can sometimes 'stick' in the 'Stéréo' mode and send incorrectly DD 5.1 content as "Stereo" until the application of computers is obliged to "freshen up".

  Ok. Maybe this method will fix what is happening with it. First restore the audio IDT original drivers, using this method:
  Using Recovery Manager to restore the software and drivers (Windows 8)
  
  Then download and install the drivers for 8.1.
  Driver Audio of IDT high definition (HD)

• Apple Tv4 dolby surround is broken

  My ATV3 plays perfect audio dolby digital 5.1 House of Cards and the House MD box set I bought on iTunes. I plug the new ATV4 and it does not send a dolby signal to my amp when reading the same content. Instead, he chooses decode the signals dolby into several parts and send it to my amp to the multi-channel PCM with a low dynamic range format. It does not sound very well. If I had known this before buying I would not have picked up.   Have you tried "Audio" Mode and the "Surround Sound" settings in the settings > audio and video? It may be interesting to try several combinations of these parameters, even though in general this is the 'Surround Sound' setting that causes more problems for users.

  If you use a sound/receiver system, make sure that you have correctly mapped the input port on your output sound system, if you do not know how to do this, refer to the manual that came with your audio system.

  Well, I read online that the Y510p was supposed to have Dolby Home Theater v4 and I can't? I looked in programs and features program files and can't find anything about it.   The program is not in the software available for the Y510P. However, I found the program in this link. But it's for the Thinkpad S430.
