Download LibreOffice

Apple support directed me to download LibreOffice that will allow me to open old ClarisWorks and AppleWorks documents.  LibreOffice won't let me download anything until I made a voluntary donation.  When I did everything I had was a thank-you note, but not download.  When I go back to the download page, I wonder once again for a donation.  When I go through the process again I get a note that says that the transaction has been processed.  I don't think that Apple should send their customers to this bogus site.

Hello

Do you use the standard site to download LibreOffice: https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ? That is normally when you click on the button "Download version 5.1.4", should start the download of the application (at least it works with Safari) and page changes to propose to choose another minor site if download does not start, or to make a donation...

Notes:

-You can also find a free version of LibreOffice vanilla in the Mac App Store: https://itunes.apple.com/en/app/libreoffice-vanilla/id921923693?mt=12 , this version is slightly different from the version of standard site, see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/LibreOffice_Vanilla_for_Mac and had constraints that do not exist in the standard version.

-to be complete, there too, there is a paid version of LibreOffice on the Mac App Store: "Cooperation Office", but you probably did not need...

How can I change a word to PDF document?

If you have Word 2010: open the Word document in Word 2010 and save them in PDF format.

If you have Word 2007: download the Save as PDF converter, install it, open the document in Word 2007 and save them in PDF format.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&ID=9943

If you have earlier versions, available from sources package converters that work there. Alternatively, you can download LibreOffice and install it. Open the Word document in free agency and save them in PDF format. LibreOffice does not support some of the features of formatting of the word so the document can require a few touch upward in LibreOffice before the Save as PDF.

There are other alternatives, but I recommend you these first.

  • Word Perfect is not compatible with Windows 7. What can I use instead?

    WordPerfect or treatment.

I've recently updated my computer to windows 7. I used to have the perfect word, but it is not compatible with this new set up. How can I go on writing documents or summaries. Do I have to buy a new cd to upgrade from word perfect or is there a way I can write documents with this version of windows 7?

    You have a few options:

You can use the built in word processor called Word Page (start > all programs > Accessories > Word Pad). It is pretty basic and does offer all of the features of a professional processing.

You can download a free office suite that includes a treatment called Writer (free agency)

Windows 8, or any other version of Windows has never included
Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, or any other important application
software. These programs must be purchased, either by themselves, or as
    part of Microsoft Office.

If your old computer running an earlier version of Windows, came
with one or more of them, it was because the seller who sold it
delivered as part of the package he has sold, not because that
version of Windows came with it.

First of all, you can use Microsoft Office on Windows 8. If you already have one
the commercial version of it on another computer (and it isn't too old one)
version), you can uninstall it and then install it on your new Windows
    8 the computer.

Or you can buy a new copy of Microsoft Office. There are also several
other choices of Office Suites. for a word processor I personally
prefer WordPerfect to Microsoft Word, but I prefer other programs
in the following Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
What comes of the Corel WordPerfect Office Suite. There is also the
Suites of OpenOffice and free, downloadable LibreOffice. Although I use
or free suites, I know that a lot of other people who love their

  • LOTUS AMIPRO

I try to install LOTUS AMIPRO without success. It ran OK on WINDOWS XP but does not work on WINDOWS 8.

Y at - there anyone out there who has experienced the same thing.  The problem is that I have a lot of files that I need to open.

    Mike

This program is too old, it is not compatible with Windows 8, in fact, AmiPro was eventually succeeded by Lotus WordPro, which itself is not compatible with Windows 8.

You must upgrade to a modern word processor. You can consider buying one such as Microsoft Word, Corel WordPerfect, or download a free alternative like free agency.

Depending on the size of export document, they may be larger than the size of the Mail attachments to your site email hosting, or in the case of some sites to download CV greater than 100 KB. If this is the case, then open, then save the exported Word document of Pages in LibreOffice or MS Word. This step will reduce the size of the document.

  • Toshiba e-Studio 167: printing documents ODT LibreOffice 4 Linux problem

    Hello

I'm trying to solve a problem when I try to print some documents ODT of LibreOffice 4 (13.04 Ubuntu operating system) on a Toshiba e-Studio 167 printer.

I have not received any response from my service technical so I hope someone can help me here.

When the document contains fonts as liberation, liberation Serif, etc., I get a printed page with the following error:

    ERROR:
    invalidfont
    THE OFFENDING COMMAND
    $definefont
    BATTERY:
    --nostringval--
    WASRNP + LiberationSerif
    --nostringval--
    WASRNP + LiberationSerif
    --nostringval--
    --nostringval--
    17

However, if export ODT file in PDF format and print PDF files or if I print another PDF Acrobat file, it is not a problem. It works too, if I print a document Word (doc) opened to LibreOffice (usually with a Times New Roman font); in this case, LibreOffice indicates that the document has Times New Roman font, although it is not installed on the system, at least I can't see fonts in the drop-down list. In these cases, that the document prints well, but the new ODT documents with fonts system fail, what happens?

If I print in a local printer (HP Laserjet 1020), he has no problem with any document.

I tried to apply the solution given in the son, but if I change the type of PostScript printer language, I get the same error:
    https://AskUbuntu.com/questions/69014/unable-to-print-from-LibreOffice
    https://AskUbuntu.com/questions/68909/problem-printing-in-LibreOffice-writer-but-not-in-Adobe-Acrobat-Reader-or-Evolut

This is how I installed the printer driver:

    https://localhost:631
    Administration-> "Add printer".
The wizard has automatically detected the network printer: Toshiba e-Studio 167 Foomatic / Postscript (en)

This site says that the printer works under linux:
    https://www.OpenPrinting.org/printer/Toshiba/Toshiba-e-Studio_167

    Any help would be apreciated.

    Thanks in advance
