Download of Enterprise Manager to 11.2.0.4

Hi, I want to install a 11.2.0.4 database without grid Infrastructure or ASM, but I can't find the Oracle Enterprise Manager software to download.  It seems that the closest download was "Enterprise Manager 11g Grid Control Release 1 (11.1.0.1.0)", but he said that is no longer, it can be downloaded.  What is the right (and available) version OEM download for a single instance of 11.2.0.4?   Maybe the software comes already with him?

Thank you!

User575429-OC says:

So, I can use Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud control Release 5 (12.1.0.5) 12 c?

Yes.

User575429-OC says:

Also requires 12 c EM Grid Infrastructure and/or ASM?  I really don't want to treat all of this overhead either.

Nope,

I installed 12.1.0.4 in another local server with a single instance database as a repository using filesystems for the data files.

You needn't ASM.

Kind regards

  • Cannot connect to Oracle Enterprise Manager Express

I downloaded image database Oracle Developer days 12 c virtualbox. I can start and access the desktop. When I try to log in to Enterprise Manager (EM) Express by using the URL http://127.0.0.1:8888 / em , ask me to install Adobe Flash. I set up and access the login screen.

I checked that I can connect with the SYSTEM and the SYS user in SQLPLUS.

When I try to log on as user SYS in EM Express I get a strange error: security token does not match. You have to login again...

    enter image description here

The same happends if I login as user SYSTEM.

To me, it looks like for SYS credentials are OK, but there is something wrong with the user in the database. Is that correct and if so, how can I solve this? Or EM Express is simply no installation on the image?

  • Looking for what software required for the Installation of Enterprise Manager

    Hi all

I'm quite new to work with Enterprise Manager, previously used 11g Database Control, but never install Enterprise Manager (OEM). Now, due to the increase of the databases, I am planning to install OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager) to list all the database (more than 20 Linux servers) in one place.

I have read the documentation and still confused on what needs to be installed for the OEM. I intend to use OEM 12 c Release (12.1.0.4), my current databases are 11 GR 2 (11.2.0.4).

Could you tell what I need to at the bottom of the list?

    1. OEM (12.1.0.4)
    2. Web logic Server (do I need that separately, or it will be installed with OEM)?
    3. OEM agent on all other 20 servers (I have to install a software on them? Please guide)
    4. A specific version of Java.

Please guide me if I need any other software or plugin.

I have already installed the oracle software and created a database by using the "Custom" option in DBCA. My server operating system is Linux 64 Bit for Enterprise Manager.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

You need to control software for cloud 12 c OEM, software database (for creating repository) and software agent (for tracking targets on other hosts)

Java Development Kit (JDK) 1.6.0.43.0 and Oracle WebLogic Server 11 g Release 1 (10.3.6) are installed by default with the installation of SGD 12 c, even if you have a possibility to install it separately if you want, but Oracle strongly recommends using the installation process of 12 c to install the JDK and Oracle WebLogic Server for use with Enterprise Manager 12 c.

The simplest is to run emctl status who-OMS_HOME/bin order details and look for the value of the URL for the Console

  • Agent does not appear in Enterprise Manager GC after having redeployed

    Hello

    We run Control 11g Grid.

One of my team members deployed a screening Officer Grid out on a server using the 'Installer Agent' feature in Enterprise Manager GC.

The deployment of the agent worked successfully. The host name of the target server appeared under the screen "Hosts" in the tab target GC Enterprise Manager.

Shortly after my team member has deployed the agent, he realizes that he had installed the Grid Control Agent in a home misspelled agent on the target server. He then tried to remove the agent. He did it by closing the agent and by removing the home directory of the agent on the target server. He realizes then that the removal operation was not complete, so he took the host via Enterprise Manager user interface. He did on the hosts screen tab target. He has selected the host and then choose 'delete '. There are no databases or headphones on the server target, so he could not remove these first.

He then tried to redeploy the agent. Agent deployment operation said it has successfully completed, however the host name does not appear under the screen of 'targets' em. In addition to the "history of deployment" section of EM, there is no trace of the host in the console business at all.

The agent is running on the target server. The expected ports are in use.

On the target server, I tried running

    $. / emctl status agent

I was worried that no XML files have been downloaded, so I ran

    * < AGENT_HOME >/bin/emctl charge agent
    EMD charging completed successfully

The 'status emctl agent' reports still 0.00 MB

    * I also ran < AGENT_HOME >/bin/agentca d

    * We restarted < AGENT_HOME > root.sh on the target server and restart the target server.

Also, I restarted the entire SGD on our server of the grid control.

I suspect that moving original host of the marked grid host somewhere as being "removed from grid control. I think that the redeployment of the agent has not updated this record, so there is always a place marked as deleted. I just do not where it is.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to proceed from here? I am happy to download all the log files who think can be useful.

    Hello
Please see the article-ID "grid Agent resynchronization translates ORA-20206: target does not exist: agentmachine.domain:host" [1273737.1 ID]
    MOS...

The reason may be that the agent has been reinstalled on the node and that the target.xml file is not correct. You can find the file target.xml
in the directory $AGENT_HOME/sysman/emd. It might be useful to check this file because it contains all the discovered targets.

But try to follow the instructions in the article mentioned ID...

  • Do I need Oracle Enterprise Manager?

I just downloaded Oracle Database 11 g for Linux x 86 (32 bit). I installed this in VMWare in my PC at home for practice purposes in order to reach the DB Admin 11 g OCA and I hope that OCP in the future. Do I need Enterprise Manager in order to become an OCA in DB Admin 11 g? Thank you

    Hello

OEM is good for monitoring, but it is not advisable to become DBA, practice first level SQL work with queries, if in the case of surveillance of emergency, you can use OEM, OEM, you can do any french as adding data files, table reorganiztion, backup planning & etc...

first if you are good with a basic dba then you would think RAC, if you complete OCA & OCP only then you will be eligible for the examination (OCE) CARS.

    Thank you
