Can I get my downloads, I had in my library? I did change something by mistake or can I change so that my downloads are still in my library until I have decide to delete them?

  Yes, this should be the correct file.

  You can try to restore the version 08/12/2015 of places.sqlite and follow these steps:

  Make a backup of the current bookmarks a JSON in the Manager of bookmarks (library)

  • Bookmarks > show all bookmarks > import and backup > backup

  You can save this copy on the desktop for easy access.

  You can use the button on the page "help > troubleshooting information" to go in the current profile folder and closing of Firefox.

  • Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: see file

  Make a backup copy of the current places.sqlite file in the profile via the Windows Explorer folder in a safe place (e.g. office).

  Delete the temporary places.sqlite - shm and places.sqlite - wal to avoid problems with these temporary files.

  Restore version 08/12/2015 (8 dec) places.sqlite via Windows Explorer.

  Launch Firefox to see if that has restored the download history.
  You will lose these last few bookmarks and history of the sites you have already visited once the restore point (08/12/2015).
  If you have created bookmarks again last week, then you can restore the backup of bookmarks that you created.
  If it did not work so you can restore the backup of places.sqlite and delete places.sqlite - shm and places.sqlite - wal before launching Firefox.

  I received a notification on my iphone saying "automatic download are not enabled on this unit, to allow, travel to store settings" is a normal notification because its never blown upward before and I had the phone for a year, the notification also happened on my ipad recently as well (well enough a day after notification jumped on my phone). Sorry if I seem paranoid I just hope that theres anything malicious on my device and the security has not been compromised.

• I can't double click on my downloads when they appear in the download area. I really need to be able to do to things such as Flash Player update.

  If downloads are gone, it is possible that Windows deletes the downloads based on security policies defined in Internet Explorer. I realize realize that sounds strange, but it is related to the functionality of Firefox to submit downloads to your virus scanner and marking them as having come from the internet.

  To test this theory, you can try to disable the scan function. I assume you have good "real-time" antivirus protection that checks all the files saved on your hard drive. (If not, you should really get that, and you can make free use of Microsoft Microsoft Security Essentials for now until you have time to consider all the options available.)

  Although this isn't in itself a problem with Mozilla Firefox, you may be able to get access to blocked sites thorugh the use of software (or Mozilla add-on) that will allow you to access a site through a proxy, or by the use of a virtual private network.

  However, please consider reading the terms of use of the network of the University (or similar document).

  It is likely that you are not allowed to use any proxy or virtual private network on the University network. If you do, you may lose your account you are unable to access the network at all!

  So, it's up to you. There are also Web sites that provides a form of proxy service where you simply go to the site and enter the URL of the site you want to access.

  But, as I said: you could be prohibited from using the network if you do not follow the rules, so please be careful and know what you can and can't do using the University network.
