Driver and Vista 64 M1120n

Recently bought the M1120n multifunction printer and the installation went well on XP 32 English and Swedish OSX, but on Vista 64 Swedish, it's impossible. The CD supports Vista in Swedish, but only 32 bits. The driver from the website crashes after about 30 seconds.

I gave the cat try... with dissapointment as well HP support. I explained the problem and they can only refer to what I've read. They said that the printer can be installed via the USB port and then be configured as a network printer. Then I followed the steps for the installation of the USB and guess what? Oh, you can not install via USB on Vista 64...

In addition, I have never had a HP product that worked as expected (printer, laptop,...).

I solved the problem and turned into happy owner, turning the printer and buy a Samsung SCX-4500W. It is fantastic, elegant and has NO problem whatsoever

  • External hard drive and Vista

My 360G Seagate external HARD drive appears with 89G exhausted. I haven't saved anything yet and the only things about it are the installation files accompanying matching a few hundred KBs. I should have near the available 360 G set.

What is the problem and how do I do about it?  Thank you

    georgesart

I think I can find some possible reasons. Through each file in the drive installed for herself, I came across a huge amount of redundant junk - I call it junk because there are 9 'levels' of history, each with a kind of mirror for the C: drive, but with only random selections nonsense. For example, each level has C:/programfiles, but there maybe 3 files, another 10, etc.. Most is not the story of used recently.

Yesterday, I used Cleanse Uninstaller to uninstall AllMediaGrabber in C:\. He was earlier listed in one of the program files on drive H: so I clicked it and it opens as if I had never uninstalled. I ran Cleanse again using the path H:, he completed the uninstall, I come back and AllMediaGrabber is still there.

I never activated or whatever it is set up so far, so I guess I find better Seagate how to reformat - what happens if a virus gets in there and is the same as tenascious as the simple AllMediaGrabber, I think that would be a bear to manage. I did not sign for all this, I wanted only to additional disk space.

    Hi Madril,

Thanks for posting this question in the Microsoft Community.

Could you give us little answers so that we can have a better understanding of the issue?

    1. you are trying to boot Vista on Windows 7? If this is the case, I suggest that it will not work.

2 you both fill the operating system installed?

I would like to inform you that when you start in Windows Vista or Windows 7 regardless of the drive, they can be installed, Windows display readers primaries than C. Drive C is always reserved for Windows. That's why Windows it will show that the C drive.

If the dual boot works fine, you don't have to worry about what.

You can also format the hard drive, create two different partitions and then start Vista in a drive and Windows 7 in another. You can also go through the article on multiboot and check if it helps.

Hope this helps and provide us more information if you need more assistance. We will be happy to help you.

  • Qosmio G30: Conflict between the audio driver Sigmatel and Vista SP1

    Hello
I have a laptop Qosmio G30 PQG32E and impossible to move to Vista SP1 because the driver Sigmatel (6.10.5462.0) is in conflict with the service pack.
As some of you may know, there is no Sigmatel and IDT who bought them is so say nonexistent, saying to contact the OEM directly to drivers updated.

Is there a plan to upgrade the audio driver?
There are huge memory leaks in my case from the audio driver.
If you use Photoshop or Premiere Pro, the audiodg.exe process consumes 800 MB and more after an hour of continuous work.

I hope for an update driver stable and more stability of the SP1.
    I am a dreamer?

The problem is that the final version of Vista SP1 is brand new and it may happen that some drivers don't support this new service pack.
In this case the driver needs to be updated.

If you will not find the latest version on the Toshiba page then maybe you can find it here:

    http://www.IDT.com/?ID=3969

In any case, the solution is the update driver and sooner or later, the update will be available.

    Good bye

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

  • Backup drives off-site rotation and Vista

I have automated backup set to run once a week on an external drive.  I have 2 drives external 1 TB identical.  I want to turn a drive off-site on a regular basis of the semi - once a month maybe.  When I turn a drive in, Vista will recognize such things it believes that it already saved is more on target and to fill all the changes since the last backup on the freshly turned disc?  Or Vista restarts with a full charge whenever I have one of the disks in rotation?  Both disks must have the same name of the drive or Vista will be ok with a drive name different than that currently attached to the system is always assigned the same drive letter?

    Hi Peter O FL

Welcome to the Microsoft Vista answers Forum!

As you have two external drives to save data, once you connect the first hard drive windows will check the last back up and doesn't save changes and refresh it and it's the same process with the other hard drive also.

  • Wipe the hard drive and reload Windows Vista

I want to wipe my hard drive and then reload Windows vista business 32-bit my original cd/dvd, what is the best way to do it and what does it save before I commit to such an action. I had a series of problems with my computer and the last correction process was the Iolo System Mechanic (that should come with warnings) which managed to destroy my windows installer. should record different programs of files, etc.

    Hello

To reinstall Vista using the recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm

To reinstall from a Vista DVD from Microsoft, you change the Boot order and follow this information:

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

"How to activate Vista normally and by Activation of the phone '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/84488-activate-Vista-phone.html

As it was explained to you, you need to reinstall 3rd party programs from the original media (from CD, DVD, etc.)

And this method back up to an external hard drive your files, photos, music, documents, etc.:
