Droid Pro update... Test or what?

So according to the official Motorola Twitter today, the Droid Pro update stream is available throughout the... http://twitter.com/#! / Motorola

If this is the case then what exactly is the purpose of this test group? We were told not to talk to receive the update in public forums, at the same time members of groups ranging already received the update as well and now it is officially announced...

I would have thought our tests would have been done before a public release to iron on potential problems with the changes... don't get me wrong I am incredibly happy that the update is out and my Pro seems to work a lot, especially Exchange synchronization, but synchronization of the test and the public release version seems really strange to me...

If I don't have a knowledge of SOAKING tests/group so I apologize in advance and would be interested in an explanation...

Sorry - I was last week. Just to catch up.

Thus, when we run the impregnation like this usually send us to a few thousands of owners. But only this group - the Motorola feedback network members - provide direct feedback. Your comments on this community and in the survey allows us to determine if we are ready to push everyone.

So yes, there is another large group of people who get the software at the same time. But we have no way to really talk to them so that we cannot use their experience to make the go/no-go call. And we had to get out an update of big problems that arose during the soaking.

Hope that explains it.
