I have this dynamic action

Question - does not update the region. Region has several area children but no action is taken on them.

I tried with the updating of all given the region of parent and child, but it did not work.

Is it possible that I can submit page or refresh real region successful action.

Thank you

As far as I know, you can only refresh a report from the region. Other types of regions will be not updated even though you can select them from a dynamic action.

As indicated in the documentation, interactive reports, standard reports, charts and lists can be updated using dynamic measurements. Region of plug-ins can also have support for the actions of refreshment DA.

Updating of the region not cascade. Refresh action is required for each region or subregion. For regions classic report and tabular forms enable partial Page Refresh , property report must be enabled.

  • Dynamic action with refreshment area interactive report

    Hello!

    I use APEX 4.02

    I have a page with 2 regions.
    Region1 is a form (of entry)
    Region.2 is an interactive report on the same table as region 1

    When you enter values in the form I'm trying dynmically similar research records in the table with the interactive report.

    I made a dynamic action on the change of form fields that must refresh the interactive report region. I can see this one fires if I add an alert to debug if it fires.
    The dynamic report is based on a query with bind variable pointing to the fields in the form, for example
    where
    Field1 =: P2_FIELD1

    It works fine on the page loading, so no action is triggered, but I see the lines in the region of report are the ones I'm looking for.
    The updating of the report area does not work, but it is never nice and/or showing the correct data after a change of form fields, if it looks like the dynamic action "refresh the region" does not work on the interactive report.

    Any ideas why it can go wrong?
    I want to solve this problem using standard dynamic actions and preferably not via PL/SQL or JS, should be possible if I believe documentation... ;)

  • Back to zero/recalculate value if the element with dynamic action

    Hi all

    What I have is a part of "total amount". When the other elements on the form are filled, these values are subtracted from the total. My problem is that when a few points to say a filled out, but then set to zero, the figure in the total does not reset. If no new figure added, are more excluded.

    For example:
    total = 10
    Value of 1 changed to 5. Total = 5.
    Value of item 2 changed to 1. Total = 4.
    Value of 1 changed to 2. Total = 2.

    I find it tricky is because the total is derived from an action of current setpoint led other points. Finally, I would like to reset or re - run the calculation for the total, without duplicating the original action of the set value. I tried to use a dynamic action "Refresh" but I don't think that work in this way. Is there another way?

    Why not save the original value to an item hidden page (or even in a global variable set before you run the JS calculation for the first time in javascript).
    During the reset, set the value of the element with the value of the hidden (or variable).

  • Dynamic action - update

    Re: Anthony sample application to demonstrate the dynamic action http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=39830:38

    It seems that native dynamic action Refresh (currently limited to the refresh of the regions report) simply refresh the content of the report by re-running the query. But if the region has text strings using the & POINT. Notation (for example in the header, the footer, or title), which is not updated.

    Am I missing something or is this a limitation of the Refresh action conceived as it is? I'm sure that the Apex Team plans to improve it in the next version, but is there a way to DIY in this version?

    Thank you

    Hi Vikas,

    Yes you are right that "Refresh" will just refresh the main region component. For example the report or in the future chart. But it won't refresh the content of the entire region.

    1. the reason for this is that a region may also have page elements that save session state are entrusted to him. If us would be updated to a region, the internal mapping of the name attribute of the INPUT tags could change based on conditions screen which screws up the whole would submit the treatment.

    2. the updating of the partial page regions (and in the future for graphics) only run the SQL statement set for component there and is the logically defined set for page rendering (for example, calculations, process,...). If a region would now use & Pxxx_TEST. to reference session state in the content of the region it would most likely be NULL or return a value of false if the values were recovered by an extraction process DML during page rendering (which simply writes in memory).

    Therefore we must consider whether we support in the future and perhaps allow him to some extent in place.

  • Dynamic action - defining the value of affected parts

    Hello

    I'm a little trouble trying to set the value of several items affected in dynamic Action (refresh the number of the part to Page 2). Page 2 I want the user to select the order number and fill in the items combines automatically, for example part number Descr. I can make it work for Part_Number, but the same value appears when I add P2_DESCR to items assigned to set the value. I'm probably doing something really stupid!

    Kind regards

    Mickey

    Hi Mickey,

    It is not as easy as it should be, even. You certainly do not make something stupid at all!

    Currently the action 'Set value' support only 1 distinct value. You might have other 'Action' within the same dynamic action that returns the other element you want, but it's inefficient, you need to make 2 round trips to the server to retrieve each value. We are looking for the opportunity to put multiple values without needing more trips to go back out of the box in a future release, but for now I think the best approach is to use a custom mix of dynamic measurements, JavaScript and a level of page AJAX callback.

    For this example, I use the EMP table, where the user selects the number and the name of the employee and employment are returned, but the technique can be used for your situation.

    1. Add a page 'AJAX Callback' called 'GET_EMP_INFO', make the type "PL/SQL" with a "Point of process" of "On Demand - run this process when requested by AJAX ' and add the following code:

      begin
          for c in (select ename, job from emp where EMPNO = to_number(:P1_EMPNO)) loop
           apex_util.set_session_state('P1_ENAME', c.ename);
              apex_util.set_session_state('P1_JOB', c.job);
              /* Add more set_session_state calls here if you want to return more item values */
          end loop;
          apex_util.json_from_items('P1_ENAME:P1_JOB'); /* Add more here for returning more values */
      end;

    2. Create a dynamic action "Advanced" (because we need to use the action "Run JavaScript Code"), with the following attributes:

      • 'Change' - to the fire of the dynamic action every time the number value used change event.

      • Selection of Type 'Article (s)' - to be able to select the element of page employee number.

      • Article (s) "P1_EMPNO" - the page employee number element.

      • Real Action "to execute JavaScript Code. If you want details on the loading of the page as well, make sure that the 'Fire when loading the Page' checkbox is checked. Add the following "Code":

        var get = new htmldb_Get(null, $v('pFlowId'), 'APPLICATION_PROCESS=GET_EMP_INFO', $v('pFlowStepId'));
        get.add('P1_EMPNO', $v('P1_EMPNO'));
        gReturn = get.get();
        json_SetItems(gReturn)
        get = null;

    So, basically, that's all. I recommend this approach for now, until better support us in native mode to set multiple values, or a plug-in dynamic action arises that does just that!

    Hope that helps.

    Kind regards
    Anthony.

  • Dynamic action does not not on the first attempt to load page. Work after refreshing the page

But if I refresh the page once, and then it starts work and the display_item is filled.

    Orders

    1

    2

    3

    Products

    1A

    2B

    2 Z

    3 C

    When I select the command 1, then since there is only one line of products, the displayed item will indicate A populous. If I select 2, since there are two product lines, I should see the list box.

    Doesn't seem to work and I'm sure, I'm doing something wrong.

    Difficult to be certain that as it appears that someone has been editing the page before you start watching (rather than copy the page experience their own copy). Your article P1_PRODUCT_NAME_DISPLAY he a point value / Expression 1 column = Expression 2 condition P1_HIDE_SHOW = 1 condition on that? Or any other condition of rendering?

    These conditions do not match the dynamic actions. They are applied only during the page see the transformation when the page is displayed first; When it is linked to another page; or after a branch to him. They are not applied dynamically during the activity of the user on the page. In this case, that the status is set to false when the page is rendered first, the same element does not exist in the page sent to the browser. If you want these items to appear conditionally because of the interaction with another user control, then you must initially return the elements and control their visibility using hide/show the dynamic actions.

  • Dynamic action to refresh the region-> see the message to user

    Hello

    I have a page in the apex 4.2.2.

    In this page, I have an interactive report and a filter sets, users can choose.

    When users choose one of the filters, I implemented a dynamic action to refresh the interactive report region, so it should refresh the data being shown without submitting it.

    So far so good... but... when the region is refreshing there is point 'charge of circle' which displays and allows the user to know he is done on the page. But this icon is not so obvious.

    What I want is to add a message, for example to display a region, which showed a message like "being the updating of the report, please wait" (something like that).

    I tried to insert in my dynamic action, as 1st action, to SHOW this area and as the last action to HIDE. But nothing is done, the region is never shown.

    How can I perform this task? All I need is to be able to display a message, for the duration of the dynamic action, to inform the user that he or she must wait until the task is completed.

    All real common actions have been reported to "wait for result", if I didn't get this wrong, it means that he expects the previous real action remaining to be done, in order to trigger the next... This should show the region and then hide it, but it does not work.

    Can someone help me with this? Maybe give an idea?

    Kind regards.

    You can actually go several routes with a solution for this. A refresh of the IR will start forward and after updating the events that you can hang on to dynamic actions or jQuery, so you can show something at the start of the update and then hide it again. And since you can do all this in jQuery you could easily hold it in a javascript file and attach it to every page of the ir. This is probably the cleanest solution and more independable.

    Another way is to use the already existing waiting icon and play with his presentation a little. You know, that you are talking about loading icon. You can change this to something much better with minimal effort!

    Example:

    Run when the page loads, to execute javascript code:

    $("#apexir_LOADER").append("
    Please wait. Refreshing the data.
    ");

    Add this css to inline css in the page:

    span#apexir_LOADER {
    display: block;
    width: 150px;
    text-align: center;
    background-color: white;
    border-style: solid;
    border-radius: 5px;
    border-width: 2px;
    top: 20%;
    }

    It'll make a little white box with black borders rounded around the loading icon and put a text below.

    You can get the html code to add a bit more generic, or you can raise some html of the page if necessary. You can put it in a dynamic action on the load, put in a js file, or whatever. The css can be put in a page template or a css file.

    It's only less independable hanging in front or after updating because we are taking advantage of the system in place, which means that maybe he could change in the future - but this is hardly on the same scale as the 'hacking' the ir for example javascript.

  • refresh the report with dynamic action title

    Hi all

    I have a report that is updated with dynamic action. When the update is done, first the value of two hidden variables are defined (P2_ID and P2_NAME) and are subject (using a dynamic action type "pl/sql", with the code "null"; and items to submit page: P2_ID, P2_NAME).

    In the report query, I use: P2_ID in the where clause. Everything works like a charm! The only thing that doen't work, is the title of the region: which is defined as "properties of & P2_NAME.", but the title is not updated when the report is refreshed.

    Is there a solution for this? I hope I am clear enough.

    See Re: dynamic action - update

    If you are right; the native just Refresh action updates the content of the report, it does not perform & POINT. substitutions throughout the region.

    What you could do is use a RANGE named as the title as

    &P2_NAME.

    and add a REAL action to your dynamic Action to set the title using Javascript to run code

    $s('my_title',$v('P2_NAME'));

    I hope this helps.

  • Tips: APEX 5 r IR by a dynamic action after the text fields complete

    Hello I hope I can get assistance on this matter and thank you in advance for any information.

    I have an APEX 5 screen, that has 4 fields of entry of text and under this one IR that has these 4 parameters in its SQL where clauses.

    Now if I create a button that submits page or redirects to this page my report can be updated with the values of user entered without problem, basic stuff.  If I create the settings section as a dialog box model once again that I can get the update report as this dialogue submits the page as well as the report can refresh according to closed dialog option.

    What I struggle to reach is to allow the user to enter values in the text fields click on a button called 'submit' and there all stages of implementing dynamic action without page reloading.  I want user to P1_A, P1_B, P1_C, P1_D press on "submit" input, dynamic action that links the values entered into the fields, then fire another dynamic action that updates the State when the button is clicked / modified values what works the best.

    I am struggling to get this to work and I even tried to copy these settings and do them as hidden for example bind input P1_A to P1_A_Hidden by a dynamic action and have the report where clause =: P1_A_HIDDEN, but have not managed to get this working.

    It's possible?  I know its easy to simply send the page and make it work, but I want the experience to be quite uniform for the user and act as you never leave the page.

    I saw on the packages of the app in the chart example.  The bubble chart has a list selector (salary) and the table updates dynamically, it seems so that the process can occur, but I need the user to enter text and not use selection lists.

    My apologies if I missed any, but I can give you more if it helps.
