E-mail contact form

Hello there fellow personality that ever-growing universe.

I use a pre-made template and do not know how to let the 'contact form email' send an email to an email from my friends, can you help me with this?

create universe contact email form.png

The shape of the model is just html, it cannot 'do' anything by itself. You need to attach it to a script that can process the sending of the form to the server and send this info to your email.

Check with your hosting company and check the languages side server available to you (usually the PHP). You can then do a search for "form email - this script language" and get hundreds, if not thousands of different versions of the form processing scripts.

More hosting companies will also have the Basic scripts processing form, you can use, preload to your hosting account. All you have to do is check their support section to find necessary information to add them to your site. It's usually a very simple 1-2-3 her copy / paste into your page - here - installation type.

  • Problems with the e-mail contact form

    Hello

    I've tried tutorials about as much as I can find online to create a contact form within my flash who sends me automatically when a person completes the forms, including a very good step by step, to VTC. What I found is that most of these tutorials start with the assumption that you create the contact form on a blank canvas of flash, that is the reality, is not always the case. Although sometimes I'm able to get forms to work if I do it on a brand new Flash animation at the time wherever I try to recreate the form in my current flash file, it stops working. For the most part, I tried to recreate the contact form as a separate film within my flash file on its own layer and tried to place the Submit button in the form of contact and outside it - film or also works of course.

    Anyone could guide my in the right direction? With CS3 btw.

    Here is the info:

    So according to the picture, my contact form is called 'mcForm' which is a clip in the larger .fla on its own layer.

    The actions that are associated with the 1st image in the layer of "actions" above are as follows:

    Stop();

    var gatherForm:LoadVars = new LoadVars();

    Send form

    function sendForm (): Void
    {
    gatherForm.receipient = " " [email protected] "; "
    gatherForm.realname = mc_form.txt_name.text;
    gatherForm.subject = "form results."
    gatherForm.email = mc_form.txt_email.text;
    gatherForm.comments = mc_form.txt_comments.text;
    gatherForm.send("/cgi-bin/formmail/formmail.pl","blank","POST");
    }

    End to send the form

    Begin button actions
    mc_form.btn_submit.onRelease = function (): Void
    {
    If (mc_form.txt_name.text == "")
    {
    _root.gotoAndStop ("Error")
    }
    on the other
    {
    sendForm();
    _root.gotoAndStop ("OK")
    }
    }
    End button actions

    Thanks a lot for all the help that can be provided!

  • How can I send an e-mail using a contact form if my host requires SMTP authentication information?

    My company Web site is built in Muse and I'm using the standard contact form. My hosting provider requires SMTP authentication to send an email, and there is no way to enter the SMTP credentials in the contact form. Thus, my contact form doesn't send emails. I can't change my hosting provider and I don't want to give up Muse and re-create the company site in another program. What are my work around options to send an email using Muse?

    Help, please!

    This can be a problem in the settings of your hosting/cPanel as it is the main reason, contact forms are not sent. Apart from that your MX records are correct, there is another hidden in cPanel parameter that affects the email which is the "MX" entrance in cPanel e-mail settings.

    1. Select 'Manage' for "Accommodation" on your product page
    2. Go in cPanel
    3. Scroll down (page 3/4) to the Email (you can see many icons of e-mail in this section)
    4. Select "MX Entry.
    5. New Page loading
    6. In the drop-down list, select the field, problems of e-mail with

    8. Make sure you have selected "remote server".
    9. Click Save

    I have a question about contact forms - I have a client who needs a form which is huge and requires 25 + custom fields (rental request form). The problem is when the customer receives the e-mail message all custom fields are labeled "Custom" - it is not useful to the customer due to the multiplicity of fields returning similar data. Does anyone know if you can fix it for the shape reflects the answer by e-mail?

    Name labels for custom field in your form. This name is used as the field name in the corresponding enail.

    If you do not see the labels, turn them on in the panels of configuratuon forms.

    Your PHP script is not enough.  It must contain your email address, disinfect & validate form input fields, etc...

    Your HTML form must never contain your email address.

    If your PHP script is in a separate file, you must reference it in the action attribute of the form as follows:

    action = "votre-forme-a-e-mail-script.php".

  • Contact form of muse does not work with the e-mail address of the Yahoo customer. Any solution yet?

    The site of Muse is hosted on BC. My client has recently had a number of business cards printed with a yahoo email address, so I'm reluctant to suggest that he switch to a gmail account. I am aware of the policy of AOL/Yahoo DMARC. Any solution been found else that do not use yahoo/aol e-mail for the contact form?

    Thank you

    You can use a different email and then set up a rule before auto for @yahoo.com email in the contact notification email form field.

    It would be workaround for now.

    I entered my client colurriel, cut and paste in place. I added my email and my wifes email. The only person not to get e-mail info forms is my client. I'm puzzled.

    I checked the email used for the notification, dns, check the black list record, smtp all looks fine, but there no spf record is defined for email.

    Please ask your client to add the spf record to their mail files, then check if the notification is received or not. (They can contact their email provider to add the spf record)

    With the php mail function, you can do a few things of different. The simplest is to add email to the variable declaration.

    Change this:

    $toemail = "[email protected]";

    To do this:

    $toemail ="[email protected], [email protected]";

    You can also concatenate the value in the variable for headers to add cc, bcc, etc., respond to e-mail headers. Currently, your code has a header. Well, there are three lines to declare the value of the $headers variable, but only the last line is defined, in fact replaced. This is because the lines after the first header variable are not concatenated. Take a look at your code below:

    $headers = "MIME-Version: 1.0\r\n";

    $headers = "content-type: text/html;" charset = iso-8859-1\r\n ";

    $headers = "from: $name <".$email.">\r\n";

    It should have one. for lines of same variable after the first definition for concatenating the value of the variable as $headers below. Search for php concatenate on google for more information.

    $headers = "MIME-Version: 1.0\r\n";

    $headers. = "content-type: text/html;" charset = iso-8859-1\r\n ";

    $headers. = "from: $name <".$email.">\r\n";

    The \r\n at the end of the code represents a line break in the header. You can concatenate, or add to the value of the variable to the header, adding another line as follows. Note the. in the next line, which says a concatenation of the value of the variable. A BCC field with two additional addresses added to the e-mail header. You can add another line for cc or any other e-mail header that you like. Who should you get.

    $headers = "MIME-Version: 1.0\r\n";

    $headers. = "content-type: text/html;" charset = iso-8859-1\r\n ";

    $headers. = "from: $name <".$email.">\r\n";

    $headers. = "BCC: [email protected], [email protected]';"

    Thank you very much in advance.

    In the text fields, do you have embeded the Arabic language?

  • Detailed Contact form send an e-mail on the desktop but not Mobile

    I have a Contact form detailed on my Desktop and Mobile versions of my site. The form sends end from the office, but the same shape are not sent from the mobile website. The enamel used is linked to my domain name. Any idea on what I'm missing?

    Thanks in advance.

    You are right. That would have helped completely. I sort of fixed this problem.

    I created the form this time, starting with the standard and added contact form widget additional fields, I thought that I needed the form detailed for widget and now it works. Strange.

  • Change 'new form submission' text on receipt of e-mail of the contact form.

    Hello

    One of our clients asked us to change the text that they receive when they receive an email from the contact form.

    It currently says: "new form submission.

    they want to tell him: ' West of the Moon ~ Ayr ~ site survey '

    We tried to change the name of the form, but does not change the object in the email, not the text in the email. Is it possible to do this?

    Hi Richard,

    Please check the php script to which the web form submits to that open with a text editor and change the verbiage you want here.

    PS - You will need to make these changes after each export of Muse as Muse will override them on each export/download.

  • Add SMTP and POP to the Muse contact form

    Hi all

    my contact form has met a PHP error, my server host is now telling me to add SMTP specifications and pop I use for my internship program and I have no experience with coding, also, I find not all boards online that seems useful. can someone tell me what my host and how do I do this?

    Thank you!

    Valerie

    I would like to summarize, you don't waste time. Order form the Muse worked on the smtp Protocol, you need two things: 1) if traffic is important, you will need your own SMTP server. You should buy software (public SMTP is not reliable), being able to install and configure. (2) you must change the code in form.php, make a backup of this file and upload it to the server whenever you make a change on the site of Muse.

    It is easier to use only one-third of hosting supporting php and php mail.
