  Finally: You can communicate with the MAX card?  Or is the occurrence of the error in MAX?  What language do you use to talk to the card with?  Using IVI?  If you are using LabVIEW or CVI then open examples of shipping and test them with this card.

• Linear between two sliders from a signal of a NOR-instruments via the DAQ Assistant

  Hello!

  I currently have a problem som with my labview code. I am doing regression on a specific part of my chart. The graphics consist of a signal from one OR cDAQ-9178. Currently I can get live data in a graph (raw Signal) and then "zoom in" on the part of the graph as im intrested in by two sliders and then display the results in a new graph (adjusted Signal). Now, a desire to make the regresion in the new graph. How can I do this the best way?

  Note maybe I'm a beginner to labview so my code a little offshore.

  I got it, the function derived from the linear adjustment could not handle that many on the x-axis. I edited the VI so that the large number is suctracted for adjustment, i.e. the table will now begin at zero time for adjustment. This will not affect your locations, only the algorithm .

  Try it now with the files I've provided. The file "pm_mod2_Rawsignal test.vi" should be used with 'test3.lvm' (your data). The file "pm_mod3_Rawsignal test.vi" is the same as "pm_mod2_Rawsignal test.vi", but he is willing to work with the simulated data. The file "test3.lvm" is your data, but the file is slightly modified to work on my system.

  Edit "pm_mod3_Rawsignal test.vi" to shake with your acquired signal as you did with the first file that you received from me.

  Anyone know how to use data from an instrument of e/s Assistant entry and put it in the values of a graph y?  I have problems with this, because it returns values such as '0 v' and ' v 256 "but I need just the numeric value to get a chart to work.»  Any advice would be much appreciated.  Thanks in advance!

  Hi Rach_77,

  In order to get rid of the 'v', you can use the subset of string function and set the offset to 2.  This will take the first two values and give you the number.  From there, you'll just have to convert the value to any type you want.  I hope this helps!

• E/s instrument with SMU-1062 q Assistant

  I use a SMU-1062 q with LabVIEW 2009 installed on it. In Measurement & Automation Explorer, the frame is visible, as well as two cards SMU-6363, I built in. E even works without all the failures 6363 self-test.

  My problem is, that after if I insert an Instrument of e/s Assistant in LabVIEW 1.01, then click on choose an instrument, the SMU - two 6363 do not appear in the list. Only Com1 and LTP1 is listed.

  The 6363 is programmed with DAQmx functions. You will use the DAQ Assistant.

• LabVIEW 8.5 - error: M & A Explorer or Instrument i/o Assistant is not correctly installed: what to do?

  Dear OR creators and users.

  I recently installed the LabVIEW 8.5 and the game default driver (on a new Windows XP machine), that everything I downloaded disk image in our central repository for the University (we have a license of the whole of the site). The first thing that I tried to put in my first VI was the 'Instrument of e/s Assistant' and I got this message: "measurement and Automation Explorer or Instrument i/o Assistant is not installed correctly. Please install these on the LabVIEW driver CD. I tried to repair the installation, but no change. M & A Explorer appears fine, when I select on the Tools menu, so I doubt that's the problem. Needless to say that the 'Instrument of e/s Assistant' throws the same error when double-clicked in the template file.

  Does anyone have a similar or the same experience? What can I do to fix this? Perhaps I should add that the computer with LabVIEW is intentionally not connencted to the internet, therefore, in which case the solution through an update, I would very much appreciate some tips for offline update

  I use the Evaluation Version of LabView 2009.

  Unfortunately, the Assistant of the Instrument-I/O is not currently available.

  If I try to add an Assistant for Instrument-I/O-Express-VI (exit), I get an error message telling me that the Measurement & Automation Explorer or assistant for Instrument-I/O has not been installed correctly. The Measurement & Automation Explorer is installed.

  Is it possible to use this Express VI into the evaluation version?

  The Instrument of e/s assist is part of the VISA driver.

  Just look for the latest Version of NI VISA or the DeviceDrivers under ni.com (drivers and updates).

  Hi, in C, you can define enumerations for different types of say base16, I have a need to create an enumeration %valeurs hexa% against only the basic base10 values. Is this possible with labview somehow. I relize I can pump the enumeration of basic in a control case swtich and assimilate the enumeration of the values in any type I want to, but would like to know if there is a control of enumeration or other control that is more flexiable this way?

  This is what I need for an enumeration:

  Test1, 0x11

  Test2, 0x14

  Test3, 0x0C

  etc...

  I believe you can. Use 'ring', select the desired data type and change the hex display format.

  You are reffering to C, but:

  do not forget
  C language can understand number in all that is, hexadecimal, decimal, binary, octal format. you just use a declaration,
  for example

  0x04; Hex 4
  04; 4 octal
  b 0, 100; 4 binary

  Basically, you do the same thing in labview...

  I need some suggestions.

  We have several libraries API (to control our material) written in C and distributed as a dll.  For many of them, we have a library of LabVIEW VIs wrapping (using the call library function node).

  We have several functions in which the entry (in the original C library) is an unsigned integer, which is supposed to be several flags ORed together (each value one bit).

  I've seen more than one title, that this interface has been transferred to the wrapper live

  1 digital input.  User must understand and use it exactly like the C programmer

  2 try to make more enjoyable - an entry that is a table, which appears on the front panel, as a sort of list box multiple choice of entry (internally in the block diagram that is used to create the correct entry to the C function)

  I think there are others, but this is what I remember right now.  When I saw option number 2 (looking at the front) I thought it was much more enjoyable. clearer and more intuitive (the user can select choice named, no, not strange %valeurs hexa%, etc.).  However when I put on a block and tried to wire diagram, I had to provide an array of numbers; I had no idea what the values were supposed to be.  Option 2 seems so much better for a user interface, but for an API, I think it's actually worse.

  What do you see, if you were a programmer building my functions into your application?

  Since each value is a bit simple, I would say that the wrapper have Boolean values in the connector pane and convert it internally to the correct bit field. Another option is to use a cluster of Boolean, but which may be less friendly to the user of the API. I suggest you do this only if you have several options.

• With the help of a button to change the color of a chart while remaining in the same frame.

  I'm trying to simulate the contrast of the LCD using two buttons.

  The LCD screen is a graph on a keyframe that runs along the timeline.

  Not sure how to start with action script for this... I would use %valeurs hexa% if possible, but had no luck so far with my AS2.

  The hard part is that I have a text box on top of the LCD screen on several different keyframes and the color / brightness of this will have to change accordingly with the LCD.

  CTRL + V usually works, but if you right-click on the value, then you can select copy, then righ above the field of your application and select Paste. Not easy, but it works.

  I have been troubleshooting this problem for over 2 weeks now and every response to this question that has found success, I tried, but could not solve the problem.

  in labView, double by selecting the wizard of IO, it reads the infamous

  «I/o Assistant not installed correctly or...» »

  I downloaded the latest Driver NI-VISA 5.1.3 (or), OR-488. 2. in order to install the driver NI-VISA, I needed to find a framework .net 4.0 & Visual Studios 2003 or better.  After this failure, I downloaded the DCD_AUG12_1 & 2_Downloaders.  After this fails he left consider me if my machine or equipment is the problem, or if the software is simply unable to support these features.

  My Information System includes

  Windows XP 32 bit

  Drivers include:

  8757d

  Agilent 34401

  HP8753x

  Connection attempt:

  Ethernet GPIB

  At the launch of labView, you receive an error

  It seems that VISA 4.3 is the new version, you can have for your version of LabVIEW.

• Instrument i/o Assistant not installed correctly. No driver file not supplied with the student of Labview version.

  I installed the student version of Labview and the installation of 99%, there was a window that came.  The image just below this sentence "Installer of year DVD drivers NOR the device" at this link: http://www.ni.com/gettingstarted/installsoftware/instrumentcontrol.htm is the window that opens.  Now the problem is that I don't have a driver cd.  I downloaded a student version: http://ftp.ni.com/evaluation/labview/ekit/other/downloader/2012LV-WinEng_downloader.exe .  It is an installation file.  Then I tried to download a file of drivers, I came here: http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/3145/lang/en and I used the exe file that stores a file on the computer.  The record is just full of stuff like .bin files ect.

  I then reinstalled everything after you have uninstalled it and return to 99% a few times, and the same window came that I listed above.  I try and tap the window the the location of the driver in all folders.  None of them work.  I even tried pointing to 488,2 records, IEEE and Visa, I downloaded and they do not work.  This message in red in the window remains, 'the specified folder does not contain the correct volume' and it gives you no idea what its looking for.  So I just said to skip that part and it finishes the installation.  I put in my access code and that seems to go ok.

  After installation, I install the drivers IEEE and Visa 488,2.  Visa seems to include the wizard of e/s to istrumentom some how, but it does not solve the problem I describe below.

  Then I go in and launch Labview and I start a project and go in view the block diagram.  I'm going by dragging in the "Instrument i/o Assistant" to connect a voltmeter of pcib-usb. When I double click on the "instrument I/O assistant" window "Measurement & Automation Explorer or the instrument i/o assistant isn't installed correctly.  Please install these on the LabVIEW driver CD.  But even once, I downloaded the driver CD seems unnecessary.  The directory of the driver folder is NI Device Drivers > Aug12 > Products > "a whole series of .msi files and .cab files ouch.

  All I need is to access the Instrument i/o Assistant so I can set it up to connect with an instrument, I can be sure my program communicates properly with an instrument.  However, this is the 3rd day in the struggle with this program.  I was too frustrated this post yesterday and I'm feeling much better today.  Any suggestions on how to get this set up correctly?

  Yes! Yes! ... sigh Yes... problem solved.  Aparently the driver download was not complete and it was not obvious until he had not downloaded part 2.  Therefore part has been downloaded drivers and it solved all my problems.  Choir of angels chimes in "Haleluah!"  OK thanks me and all wizards!  Pats me on the back.  Job well done.  o / glad I could get that off me chest.  And to think that some people paid, others to be able to listen to them talk to themselves D hehe.
