  • Upgrading RAM Acer Travelmate P256.-m.

Hi newbie here so please be gentle!
I have an Acer Travelmate P256 M purchased recently for music production and want to increase the RAM of 4 GB to 8 GB. I bought the relevant stick of RAM, but when I came to install it, I realized there was no obvious hatch on the base of the laptop to access the RAM slots. Sure that I wouldn't have to disassemble the laptop to do this upgrade, but can't find a 'how to' anywhere - any help appreciated please

  • Upgrade of RAM Acer Aspire 1830 t

    Greetings,

I'm running into a problem to upgrade the RAM on my Aspire 1830 t-3425.  There currently 2x2G of PC3-8500 ram in it, but I found the information that says that it will take up to PC3-10600 ram 2x4G.  (http://www.crucial.com/store/listparts.aspx?model=Aspire%201830T%20TimelineX&Cat=RAM is my source)

I tried two different sets (from two different manufacturers, Corsair and Patriot) and they both met the same problem.  Once installed, I can reboot the system and look in the bios to confirm that the system sees the RAM, it does.  However, when the system continues to boot in Windows 7, the start screen displays for only a few seconds before the system restarts.  Running MemTest +, I can see that the system analyzes only the first 4 GB of ram, until the system restarts.

I have two questions at this stage.

    (1) is there something I'm missing in what concerns the type of ram that will support this laptop?  I can't find the hard specs on what requirements should memory be for this laptop.

    (2) at - it something wired or set in the bios that prevents the system to accept more than 4 GB of ram?

Thanks in advance for any answers.

    Hello again!

As I said before, I never knew Crucial to be wrong, but I have a feeling that they might well be this time!

Everything indicates that 4 GB is the maximum:

Your PC not recognizing 4 GB

    Own SpecSheet from Acer

If the maximum of your motherboard is 4 GB, it is not possible to upgrade more far away...

    Hello merrick.

Subject of memory, I gave you the links for Aspire One D150 (light green). It is the same for all models.

Only one DIMM connector---> 2 GB max.

On Windows 7, check out this video (AOD150 - Windows 7-32 bit). It works fine, but it won't be "a race car!

You will find all the driverson your Acer for Windows 7 support.

  • Re: Satellite L670-112 - RAM upgrade module

Can I upgrade my RAM memory? I have 2x2gb stock. I could replace these two with a 8 GB RAM module?
    Also how often choose?

    Can I put 8GB with 1600 MHz?

According to the specifications of the laptop, you can improve up to 8 GB of RAM, and I found the info you can use 2 x 4 GB modules. Compatible 4 GB of RAM has PA3677U-1M4G part number.

I put t know if you can use a module only but I'm pretty sure that 8 GB modules are quite expensive at the moment.
Don't you think that a single module of 8 GB has an advantage over the 2 x 4 GB modules?

  • The warranty will be void if I upgrade the RAM on the Acer Aspire Timeline Ultra M3-581?

The warranty will be void if I upgrade the RAM on the Acer Aspire Timeline Ultra M3-581? I read that one of the slots of RAM is expandable to 8 GB. Also some of the models M3 have SSDS, according to my specifications mine is not, is it possible to put my own in?

    Thank you.

    Nice day

    1. regarding upgrading to SSD and memory size max, please send me the part number of your machine or your serial number and I will advise you with accurate information.

    2. with regard to upgrading the ram, you can do it, BUT if damage you no matter which component while improving the security, then the warranty is voided. Also note that if you upgrade the ram, Acer will only cover its own warranty parts. If the ram you add becomes faulty, you will need to return the ram to the person / reseller you buy.

    Kind regards

I have problems to upgrade Ram.
    Sat Pro L20

I have 2 sticks of 1 GB each, I tried in each slot and they work, but not all. Speed and size are the same but not associated. (apparently shouldn't matter)
I'm annoyed about it, I'm sure it worked before, when I got a 1 GB and an assembled 256 MB

    Hello

the modules are completely identical? They come from the same manufacturer? If not, then your problem is solved and you should go to the store where you purchased this RAM and exchange for a compatible.
Usually this phenomenon appeared in only two cases:

    1. the modules are identical but one of them is faulty and it is the reason why they start won´t when it is matched
    2. the modules are not identical or not, from the same manufacturer they also start won´t when it is matched

That's it, my friend. Nothing more to say.

    Welcome them

  • Exchange on vSphere

Just have a few questions about the Exchange on vsphere.  We have a relatively small store (100 users) and we are running Exchange 2010 on a Windows 2008 R2 server.  The server is configured with 8 GB of ram and 2 CPU on the Windows operating system and it always seems to work hot when you look at things through the Task Manager.  Does this sound right?  When I look at vcenter it shows only 2.4 GB of ram and 500 MHz, but when I look at the OS it shows 7.5 GB and the watch is about 30-40% of CPU.  Can anyone shed a little light on this for me.  I want to just make sure I correct things.  Your comments and suggestions are welcome.  Thank you

    Perry

By default, Exchange always takes as much memory that you'll give him inside the operating system.  When another process needs RAM then Exchange will publish this RAM so there no need to swap to disk.  This behavior is normal and must match what you see in vCenter regarding the low RAM usage (since it is not all this RAM, while stating that he use actually).

Regarding the CPU, I tend to do not trust Task Manager that much when it comes to determine the CPU usage.  If the use is up and down then vCenter 20 second window of monitoring could be also lack some of the peaks and valleys.

Anyway I don't worry about this.  Exchange 2010 depends on a lot more RAM and CPU that previous versions of Exchange for greater use should.

  • Is it possible to access more than 2.5 GB of ram for first with my current setup?

    Hello

I'm on Win 7 64 bit and I have 4 GB of Ram. In CS5, it indicates that 2.5 will be dedicated to the creation and 1.5 will be spent on other programs. When I try to change the amount of Ram (increasing the amount of first/lower the amount other programs), it does nothing.

Is it possible to access more than 2.5 GB of ram for first with my current setup?

    Thank you

Taking the memory of other software means carrying the memory of things such as the operating system. You really, really want to go too low with that. It would also cause your applications to fight for RAM, causing the contents of the RAM be exchanged on the hard disk, which is one of the worst things possible to do to your performance.

If you want more RAM available for Premiere Pro, and then install more RAM.
