Without going into a technical discussion, this is a limitation of the Intel chipset.  Some chipsets solve this problem, a few years later, but it is a known issue.  You can't go around it, unless you purchase NEW equipment.

And also the EAP only means that the memory that would normally not accessible by a virtual machine with more than 4 GB of memory, will be insured to use a feature.  It is a feature of Windows, and it should detect it.  You can even not need EAP at all.  Use you it only IF you are not seeing 4 GB or 6 GB or everything that you allocated to the virtual machine, it doesn't have to be on just because, if you have problems to identify the memory beyond 4 GB then you can use it.

  • Install driver OfficeJet Pro X476dw on Win 7 Enterprise 64 bits without administrator rights

    Hi all

I have an OfficeJet Pro X476dw for my home office and I would like to use this printer on my company PC. Unfortunately the standard company of Win7 64 bit installation does not come with a set of drivers for the OfficeJet Pro X476dw. Unfortunately my company does not allow installation of company not certified pilots and they decline my request to certify the official HP drivers. So my question:

is there any driver easily integrated in Windows 7 which could be used to run the X476dw of OfficeJet Pro

    Any advice is welcome!

    Best regards

    Thanks Futoji,

Meanwhile, I figured out how to fix it for my Win 7 Enterprise 64-bit:

    (1) download the PCL 6 printer with installer driver

    (2) run the Installer (which will fail)

    (3) get the extracted files (must be in c:\users\ (you'll identify it through the most recent date, the copy path))

    (4) kick-off detection routine printer using 'Add printer' > ' add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer.

    (5) take the printer without specification of 3911 port

    (6) select 'have disk... '. "and will give the driver (path of the dough)

    (7) select HP OfficeJet Pro X476dw MFP PCL6 driver

    (8) test

    It worked for me.

  • Some problems after installing Win 2003 Enterprise on Satellite L310-4012

    Hi friends

I have a laptop L310-4012 and trying hard to install Windows 2003 Enterprise on this subject.
Went through many articles and has even had a long discussion with Customer Support on this one, where it was stated that they do not support Server 2003.

I did most of the installation on my own and most things work except for fingerprint and SD card. Have tried many things but I am not able to use it.

Apart from that, I see unusual things happening as

    1. I'm not able to close down the machine after uisng camera. If I don't use camera, it works fine
2 CTRL + ALT + DELETE. The task manager has grayed out
3 seems as if the laptop doesn't work that fast.

Need your help guys to decide as to whether I should use windows 2003 or not

    Hello

I m wondering that you have installed Windows Server 2003 on a laptop. Why do you need a server on a laptop OS?

However, maybe I can help you:

    (1) If you have used the web cam, the software is already started and you should see an icon in the taskbar. Right click on that and close the software. Then you should be able to stop the laptop.

    (2) what you mean with gray? You can also start the Task Manager, if you right-click on the taskbar and select Task Manager.
But I believe that there is something wrong with the operating system. Normally this has nothing to do with the laptop or the hardware.

    (3) have you installed the chipset driver? I think the reason for this is why Server is not supported on mobile phones, and therefore you can t find drivers.

If you really need this OS to test something that I would install on VMware or Microsoft Virutal PC. On a virtual machine, you must not install any driver.

    Concerning

  • Oracle 10g 32-bit (win 2003) to Oracle 11 g 64-bit (Win 2008)

    Hello

I am a beginner on Oracle DB side. I have 2 Windows servers

"Win Server A - current Prod" whose configuration is as follows

    O / s: win 2003 R2 sp2 (32-bit o/s)
    Oracle DB: 10.2.0.4 32bits
    DB Dimensions: 50 GB
    NLS_CHARACTERSET: AL32UTF8

"Win Server B - to be new Prod" whose configuration is the following
    O / s: win 2008 R2 sp1 (64-bit o/s)
Installation 11.2.0.3 planning software 64-bit db
    NLS_CHARACTERSET: AL32UTF8

I need to move/migration/upgrade my db 10g and 11g db on the latest version of win o/s on ServerB.

What are the options I have for db upgrade? After a little research on Google I did, it is what I found

    (1) OPTION 1: install 11.2.0.3 software on server B, create empty db, then take datapump exp of patterns non-system (from 10 g) and import it on 11 g
    (2) OPTION 2: do something through clone RMAN... not 100% sure how it works and what great advantage I have is going to get compared to OPTION 1
    (3) OPTION 3: install 10.2.0.1 on 'ServerB', upgrade to 10.2.0.4 via the Group of hotfixes. Then using the upgrade database Wizard, perform an upgrade of 10.2.04 to 11.2.0.3. I don't know if 10.2.0.4 is compatible with Win 2008 R2 SP1.

Option 3 is seems to be safer and better.

Can someone give me some advice, metalink not. who can put me on the right track. NLS_Characterset remains the same.

Would there be a problem due to the fact that 10g we use is 32 bit and we would go to 64-bit Oracle.

    Concerning

    Learner

The simplest option uses the Data Pump utilities.

If your application uses only some of the schema, export/import only those schema.

Please do it on a test first, configuration so that you can test the connection and the behavior of applications.

    Thank you.

    1 does extproc for Oracle 64-bit 11.1.0.7 on Win 2003 64 - bit 32-bit DLL load?
2 when searched got a quite a lot of link on extproc32 (for all versions of UNIX), but not for Windows and found this link Extproc32 installation - what want to say it is not possible to load the 32-bit on Windows 64-bit installation DLL?

Thanks Shenan Stanley, in fact as you left it I know by searching on google, but my problem is a bit shallow. I have a test planned for it. I take the production (State system with sysvol, and then restore it on the place of the test) my production DC and BDC. and try to migrate. I did the command adprep/forestprep and adprep /domainprep and this made DC schema version is 31.

and I joined Win_2003 server as a member of DC. now, the part of the domain controller extra to do, when I tried to do, he proceeds, but after a sudden period it shows version of schema not prepared. now the question is ' is that we have two ADC which was not demote normally? When I look at the announcement there are five DC with DC.

So what you're saying is that you do not know how to promote a Windows 2003 server to a domain controller in a Windows 2000 domain?
