Earphone does not currently of SID in the connection descriptor

Oracle 11g R2 64 bit on Windows 7 Professional giving following error

Listener refused the connection with the following error message: ORA-12505, TNS: listener does not currently of SID given in connect descriptor.

Oracle 11g R1 64-bit on windows 7 professional works perfectly fine

Test via the Net Manager. no use
Check the files... /Network/admin/listerner.ora and tnsnames.ora which is perfectly fine. We get always the same error when trying to connect using sql developer.

I get this error when you try to create a data store for Oracle database of the Disqualification.

ORA-12505, TNS: Listener does not currently of SID in the connection descriptor (code: 2 011)

I am able to connect to this database by using the same credentials through SQL, but the Disqualification, I'm not. Do I need to do anything in linux server before the implementation of Oracle data warehouses?

    Thank you

There are a number of ways.

1 use a JNDI connection configured in WebLogic and select by name

    2. use the LDAP connection or TNS - see http://docs.oracle.com/middleware/1213/edq/DQEXT/config_dbase.htm#DQEXT202

    3. Add an oracle.xml file in [local disqualification home] / dbconnectors with the following content. This will allow you to select the service name in the standard Oracle data store wizard:

    Class = "com.datanomic.utils.databasespecies.species.Oracle"

    MaxNameLength = "30" invalidnamechars ="" ' >

    {JDBC:Oracle:Thin:@${service = "srv"? /': "} ${host}: ${port} {service ="srv"? '/' : ':'}${sid}

    Oracle

    {JDBC:Oracle:Thin:@${service = "srv"? /': "} ${host}: ${port} {service ="srv"? '/' : ':'}${sid}

    ${superior (schema = "? user: schema)}

    dbproductname ~ = '(?i) oracle'

    name ~ = ' $BIN\\ [A-Za-z0-9 + /] {22, 24} ==------$\\p {digit} +'

  • Listener (and the database instance) does not start automatically: ORA-12514: TNS:listener does not currently of service requested in connect descriptor

Hi all... I am a newbie with oracle database.,.

I have the problem of monitoring:

I installed Oracle Database 11 g R2 XE on my CentOS 6.5 guest operating system.

I changed the host name in my CentOS so (where installed oracle 11g R2 XE) after the installation was completed successfully.

Installation-) before and during the hostname is localhost.

(-) After the installation, I changed the host name in VMCentOS

From the moment where I changed the host name, nothing starts automatically. In particular, the listener and the database instance does not start automatically.

When I start the listener manually and I try to connect to the instance of database with SQLPLUS I get this error:

ORA-12514: TNS:listener is not currently of service requested in connect descriptor

I think that the problem is due host name changed because I have to test and debug the object, re-installed a machine virtual operating system CentOS, re-installed oracle database 11 g and I do not have this problem. The database instance and the listener starts automatically!

Can someone tell me if, maybe, the problem is with the host has changed? ... and why?

P.S.: After changing the hostname I also modified the listener.ora and the tnsnames.ora by changing the HOST with the correct host name.

    Hello

It seems that you don't install Oracle Database Express Edition (XE). If you post this question in the wrong forum.

When you install EA or there is no script that starts the database at startup.

If you wish, you can create by yourself. For example search for instructions to Google how to create script.

    Kind regards

  • TNS:listener is not currently of SID given in connect descriptor

    Hello

IM creating an ADF application for iphone. I got this error when I try to run my file .jspx ORA-12505, TNS:listener not currently know of SID given in connect descriptor
Used by the client connect descriptor was:
    localhost:1521:XE

Please tell me how can I do to change my SID in the ADF project as my SID is not xe.

    Shirleen salvation,

If you work with JDeveloper 11g open Application tab "resources" on the projects tab, there see you connections shoud-> disclose it end edit or create new database connection. Then in your application module you can choose one of the pre-configured database
    connections,

    Thank you!

Try it with sid ORCL instead of XE.

If this does not help, then choose SERVICE_NAME orcl instead of SID in sql developer.

Your listener seems to have an entry for this.

You can also test it in SQl * more. But what you've done so far in SQl * plus was a "server connection", without providing the database.

Because in your case, the client and the server is on the same machine, it works with sql * more.

If you try a customer coonnect by specifying the database, then you would do the same thing as the Oracle SQL Developer is by train.

    For test purposes, something like

    sqlplus user/pwd@host:port/ORCL

also in the Sqlnet.ora file must be an etry for local EZCONNECT connect method. I don't know if it is set during the installation of network by default.

You can try if there is an Alias-TNS name (configured in the tnsnames.ora)

    sqlplus user/pwd@ORCL

If it works with sql * plus, so you must always indicate the sql developer where the tnsnames.ora file is located on your computer.

The setting can be found in the menu: extras/tools/base data/improved

The tnsnames.ora file is usually in a file like this:

    C:\Oracle\product\11.2.0\client_1\network\admin

Is there any solution to get rid of this problem?

    It's a matter of timing.

First thing that should be launched is the listener. Who should be started on boot. For a laptop or another machine which uses the DHCP protocol, the listener must be configured to talk to the loopback adapter.

Then the database should be started to talk to listening on the port of sight to the listener - it is applied either with the "LOCAL_LISTENER" database being left to null (for the default listener on 1521). This can be checked by "Lsnrctl status" showing the instance of database such as saved and available.

Then the SQLDeveloper can start up, pointing to the same host, port, and service/instance, as shown in "lsnrctl status".

  • OfficeJet 6500 e709: prints w / scale on the left margin and does not print right side of the page

Prints with a wide margin and does not print the last 2 "or 3" on the right side of the page. This occurs even when the value of the left margin to little or none.

HP trouble shoot said there is nothing wrong and test page prints fine.  Then back to the problem so try to print.

    HI @philg2,

I see your thoughts produce a wide margin left and right of the page is cut off. What program are you printing from, and this occurs when you print from all programs or just a particular program?

I see your post that this is not happening when you print a test page, so I think the problem is somehow related to the driver or program that you use. Let's start with the HP print and Scan Doctor is a free utility (tool) that allows to quickly resolve problems printing, scanning and connectivity, including but not limited to:

    • Connectivity:

USB: Check that the USB connection from your computer to the HP product works properly.

Network: Verifies that the network connection between your computer and your network is working properly.

    • Device Status Test: checks the errors of the device, such as paper, paper jams, stands transport and paper issues and provides instructions to resolve the error.

    • Driver: checks the driver missing or corrupt files.

    • Device Manager: check the problems in Device Manager that could prevent printing.

    • Device online: check if the product has been suspended or put in offline and then sets the State back in line if necessary.

    • Print queue: checks and clears pending print jobs in the print queue (a newspaper for printing waiting to print).

    • Port Match: check the port settings for the HP product.

    • Device conflicts: check the conflicts with other drivers, such as the other brands of printers.

    • Ink issues: check the cartridges and the ink levels for issues that affect the print quality.

    • Print settings: check and adjust the print quality settings.

    • Test print: print a test page for the assessment of the print quality and provides options for cleaning and if necessary print head alignment.

    • Scan tests: check the scanning mechanism, drivers, and registry entries.

Source:try the HP Print and Scan Doctor for Windows

Click here to download and run the print and Scan Doctor > > www.hp.com/go/tools

If this does not resolve the problem, after back and let me know if there are all the symbols except the Green checkmarks and what they are next of course. The key is not always easy to identify the key and check mart are in the green circle.

    • If you see only the Green checkmarks (), the tool did not find any problem.

    • If you see green sides (), the utility identified a problem and fix it automatically.

    • If you see yellow exclamation points (), the test failed and requires monitoring of the user, but the step was ignored.

    • If you see a red X (), follow the onscreen instructions to fix the problem.

Thanks, I look forward to hearing back on your part.

  • ORA-12514 earphone does not currently in service

I am trying to connect a client computer to the Oracle server. The server's operating system is Windows Server 2008 (64-bit) and for the client OS is Windows XP (32 bit).
Database on the server Oracle's 11g 64 bit (11.2.0.1.0) and the Client software is 11g 32 bit (11.2.0.1.0).

I have implemented the client (using the tool Manager of Net) with the following parameters:

    Service name: drsdb_server
    SID: grayed out
    Connection type: default database

    Address:
    Protocol: TCP/IP
    Hostname: [IP address of Server]
    Port number: 1521

I also put in place of listening port settings (although I don't know that it is necessary) with the Net Manager tool:

    General Parameters:
Name of the listener: LISTENER (it's the Alias recovered with lsnrctl on the server)
    Listening to places:
    Protocol: TCP/IP
    Hostname: [IP address of Server]
    Port number: 1521
    Database services:
    The global database name: drsdb

Db_name is not defined on the server
DB_UNIQUE_NAME the server is defined as "drsdb".
SID of the server is "drsdb".
These parameters are not defined on the client.

Everything works as expected on the host (server) machine, as expected (SQL * Plus, SQLDeveloper, etc..)

    Any ideas?
    Thank you.

    Sorry for the delay;

I think your service name should be drsdb.workgroup.

A my PRIMARY example TNSPING will return nothing unless by chance very, very weird, you have a different database called PRIMARY.

    tnsping drsdb.workgroup

    or

    tnsping drsdb

These can work. However, I think that the question is incorrect NAME OF THE SERVICE. You can test this by creating an alias for second in you tnsnames with the help of drsdb.workgroup, then a different alias, for example TEST. If you use "Net Configuration Assistant" once again, you should be able to test in there.

    Best regards

  • Outlook Express 6 does not. It crashes during the connection phase.

I uninstalled from Windows components in Add/Remove & re-installed in the same way, nothing will do. Using Windows XP & IE 8.

I uninstalled from Windows components in Add/Remove & re-installed in the same way, nothing will do.

Which does nothing. It simply removes access.

    Folders.dbx is probably damaged.

In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

The path to the message will be very similar to this:

    C:\Documents and Settings\Your User of utilisateur\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\ {long string of letters & numbers} \Microsoft\Outlook Express

With OE closed, find the Folders.dbx file and delete it.  Another will be created automatically when you open OE.

    Note these possible side effects:

When you re - start OE, it will build a new index of all *.dbx files it can read and create a new Folders.dbx. However, understand that you will lose the mail directory structure and message rules will probably have to be edited.

    Hello
to start your rman on the target database where you also want to do the restore. If you connect to your database with the recording of the dynamic listener, you have the problem in case of a restart of the database that the database service is deregisterd of the listener. In this case, you don't need the listener for that and I think that you do not have. Also, make sure that your catalog database is available. Just for information. You should be able to restore a tablespace also without a catalog database.

    Try to connect
    RMAN target / catalog rman/rman@catalog
