• Path of the environments for Oracle EBS (Profile)

  I have a question about setting up my profile for Oracle EBS. I just installed Oracle EBS on 2 nodes. Now I have to run the commands manually instead of being able to type them on the command line. An example:

  Instead of typing adstpall.sh, I have to do $ADMIN_SCRIPTS_HOME/adstpall.sh.

  Also with the automatic configuration service. I have to go on the dbTier in $ORACLE_HOME/appsutil/bin and run adconfig.sh and I have to go on the appsTier in $INST_TOP/admin/scripts and run adautocfg.sh but I want to be able to type adautocfg.sh anywhere and it will work

  There are also things as adpatch and adadmin, etc., I want to be able to run

  I don't know that there are several environment files in Oracle EBS. Anyone can guide me please to put up my profile so that I can use one of these commands from anywhere in the file system. I've never had to do before. I know they have to be in my .bash_profile, but I don't know what should go and what should not go. Please help me in this regard.

  I'm new on install EBS, but tried to do by following these instructions:

  First of all, make sure that the database was created successfully and it is in use.

  Secondly, please verify that the database and the database listener are on the rise and you can connect to the database remotely.

  Third, you have a valid entry in the hosts file (post the contents of the file here). Also, thanks for mentioning the name of the domain and host name of the server, that you put up on this machine.

• Integration with non-Oracle EBS products

  I'm new to EBS (I try to install EBS for myself and also - I'm going through the documentation), and I'm trying to figure out is - it possible to Exchange data between modules of the EBS and non-Oracle applications. I found nice about Oracle API links, Biz adapters and so on and I'm going to study them, but when I'm looking on some specifice modules, then their sheets contatin very limited integration with non-Oracle, actually - I assume that they are carefully selected partners. Then - I wounder, I feel of the documentation that the EBS is fairly open and we can build anything on them or in their breast, but - now I have doubts about this.
  
  Well - from my experience as a developer Oracle-no, I know that data exchange is a fairly common task and it can be a big pluss for system, if its data and services are, for example exposed as web services for inclusion in the larger process and so on. EBS aims in different ways (for example to restrict the user from the bowels of EBS EBS-sphere modules)? Right now I'm doing some specifications and requirements for a research project and I'm confused if I include my software with EBS integration or not, perhaps such integration is impossible?

  Hello

  Open interfaces were for the main entities for a long time, for example for financial services - AP invoices, bank statements, receipts (Lockbox) etc.
  With release 12, there are several APIs / open Interfaces with the general move towards Web Services (although not yet here!)
  You can find "end points", etc. of the API/Open Interfaces to http://irep.oracle.com
  All them above are supported with your standard EBS Support license.

  When you hit something where it is not an open Interface or API, then you move into solutions not supported. All database entities are visible (IE. Open) and the majority of the code is open or extensible. Of course if write you / change any support then moves to your responsibility. Use as much as possible private API (for example the API of PL/SQL using forms).

  So, in addition to the customization and expansion using the standard tools of the EBS UI/backend (OFA, forms, reports, PL/SQL, discoverer, Workflow, etc.), I know of people who have a front-end for data EBS using Oracle APEX (HTMLDB), PHP, c# .net, etc. of the ADF.

  In short, you can do whatever you like exchanging data, but there are moments where you go not supported...

  And another thing, if I have installed EBS, I had to install also the right to Oracle Application Server?

  Oracle Application Server (OAS) has two main components: infrastructure and intermediary (which is sometimes called application server - mainly to confuse newbies).
  infrastructure has two main components: the management of identities (IdM) and the repository of metadata (RM)
  identity management consists also of other pieces, including SSO, OID, (and also of OCA and other parts of management systems etc.).

  When you have an OAS 10.1.2.0.2, there is no infrastructure, and in turn has an OID, SSO and a metadata repository, etc.
  When you get the identity management 10.1.4.0.1, which is different from a complete application server, you get only the parts of identity management. This is not a repository of metadata. Oracle has chosen a confusing nomenclature to give versions here; but remember, is not a complete application server version 10.1.4.

  Now you can see what it means update only the part of the infrastructure of your application server identity management!

  Then I installed 10164748 (change of name of Consulting EMEA locations' 'EMEA locations (9034879 replacement) module), as this is a postrequired of 8640014 patch.
  
  Both went ok without any error.
  
  However, when I continue with the installation of 9350941, GEN (R12.1 - KEY: Company Info package), he always complains about mismatching of the description below.

  Let me clarify, you must run the rule metadata ERPi in but you don't need to load the metadata for the application of the EMP. I think that much confusion exists around this point.

  Just go with Apex and trying to figure out the correct layout.
  Apex 3.2 is installed and I just created a workspace and a test application.
  Looks like when I create a new workspace if I chose to create a new scheme, he also wants to create a new tablespace that I really don't want that.

  Now if I want more than one schema to use the same tablespace do I just create previously it outside the APEX or am I missing a setting somewhere?

  Ahh, Yes, I remember being in the whole of this issue when we started with Apex not that long ago. The advice we had was to install an instance integrated with the Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) to serve as the EBS to use EBS responsibilities and to install a separate instance as a filing of request central Apex to serve all our other databases of. Apex itself lies in its own schema (STREAM *) that is not customized. As mentioned in my previous post, we create patterns in the base of the Apex for the host needed data. Currently, a workspace works for us which also allows the maintenance of a set of standard models, developers, etc. Our Apex applications using Oracle Single Sign-On authentication for the authentication of the end-user is not a problem. Yes, we define synonyms, views, materialized views or establish some kind of data replication, depending on what works best for the particular set of data.

  I think that is there from the start always make for a better solution than the dressings and more renovations to the track. But neither I nor my world is perfect. Sigh...

  If you have set up a new business unit, as part of the installation, you must run a program called seed replicate data from the system administrator. If this isn't the case, please run that and check. This step is missing in the documentation.

  You can find that by using sql

  Select distinct org_id
  of CN_CW_WORKBENCH_ITEMS_ALL_B;

  By default, it returns only a single line. When you run the above program, you should see you use device also there.

• Problem with the JDBC driver

  I have a little problem of JDBC Driver to put the files in a database of the OAF page.
  
  I need to put some files larger than 64 KB and all file formats in a database in a BLOB column.
  
  I had a problem with a driver JDBC 9.0.8 it was solved when I installed the 10.2.0.4 JDBC driver in my room and then, runs ok, but the problem was when I tried to download files thought eBusiness following a problem like ORA-01460: letter dead or unreasonable conversion requested.
  
  People how administered eBS servers has not install these drivers because Oracle has said that this driver is not a graduate with e-Bussiness Suite.

  Server VM and Manager version 3.3.1

  Repository storage is created using file system NFS is to have 650 GB free on the disc.

  Oracle-E-Business-Suite-12.2.3-VISION-INSTALL.ova 57 GB file was created when
