  I'm following Oracle Support Note + Integrating Oracle Applications Business Intelligence with Oracle E-Business Suite [552735.1 ID] + to allow my EBS users to log on to OBI Apps of the EBS instance. This does not work and that my EBS users log on dashboards and responses through the menu links documented in EBS. However, presentation BI administrator is not a user of the EBS and can now connect through the connection URL http:// < host > BI: 9704/analytics/saw.dll? Dashboard. Instead, there is a message:
  
  + "You are not already connected to the Oracle BI server." +
  
  + "If you have already connected, your connection may have expired, or a communication or a server error could have happened". +
  
  Is there a way to allow presentation BI administrator to directly access the login page BI, once integration at EBS has been set up?

  You can use saw.dll? Dashboard & NQUser = Admin & NQPassword = AdminPassword but it is not secure because the password is transmitted in raw and stored text in the history of the brower URL

• Unable to connect on EBS

  We are facing a problem when users try to connect OBIEE by EBS. He says that the user is not connected, but if I try to connect with the Admin link (which has the user id and the password for the built-in) it works fine.
  
  Please suggest what needs to be checked. We already have the correct URL in the form of EBS to FND_OBIEE_URL.

  To resolve connection issues: integrating OBIEE E-Business Suite gives message "You are not already connected to the Oracle BI server" [749190.1 ID]

  Probably if you check your nqserver log file, you see the NQ_SESSION. ICX_SESSION_COOKIE has no definition of the value, then you must change the login script in your connections InitBlock pools.

  Hi team,

  Am new to FDMEE and Oracle EBS. Trying to integrate GL and capital given to FDMEE EBS for loading applications for EMP. The Question I have is.

  I was given with ODI configured for the server of EBS data with apps username. When I create an adapter of Native for EBS and connected with the context code. In the accounting entity FDMEE Source I am able to see the accounting entities. I would like to know which table the details comes to FDMEE and how.

  Also when I create the Import Format I can see the displayed source columns in dropdown. I am totally blank on how it's getting picked up. If you can tell me where I can relate and I'm working on a part of the integration. Please help on this.

  I believe that I can use any technology (PL SQl / SQL scripts) to extract the data from the tables of FA and put in open Tables to Interface to use OIA.

• Can we use citrix servers to log into EBS applciations

  Our clients have several version of the EBS environment and recently the upgrade of one of EBS R12 and JRE 1.7 applications after that that they are not able to connect to some legacy applications such as Oracle EBs 11i EBS. To work around this, either they need to disable the last JRE1.7 or uninstall it will be pain for end users.

  If we use Citrix server for each oracle applications EBS to connect. Please let us know what your thoughts/draw backs use citric server to connect to each version EBS applications or what other options we have.

  Simply add to development of Saddam Hussein, want to add a bit on my similar experience on the subject:

  Our clients have several version of the EBS environment and recently the upgrade of one of EBS R12 and JRE 1.7 applications after that that they are not able to connect to some legacy applications such as Oracle EBs 11i EBS

  On the client computer:

  - Install the latest Java 7 update in order to work with the JRE 1.7 application.

  -Have the operating system environment variable:

  JAVA_TOOL_OPTIONS =-Djava.vendor = 'Sun Microsystems Inc.'

  -Control Panel > Java > Java > view >

  Run 1.7 parameter mode are:-Djava.vendor = "Sun Microsystems Inc."

  It is a solution only, undocumented, allowing you to work with multiple versions of JRE.

  I've done integration (11i) EBiz with Apex. To do this, I followed the white paper by Rod West i.e. apex-ebs-wp-cabot-consulting-169064.pdf
  It was working fine. but once I got past the deadline as 3 (previously 60 sec) in the validate_hash function, it starts giving problem.
  The main problem is the only error in the first, when we try to identify of Ebiz. If I try again once or twice he started to work very well. I have no idea on whats going on.
  Please help as soon as POSSIBLE.

  Hello

  The generate_hash and validate_hash functions are used to generate a secondary password for the user of the EBS to connect at the Apex. To make sure there is a timeout built into the function so that the password cannot be reused. The first time that apex is used there is some overhead in loading the tables, packages etc. in memory and so time between production and the use of the password is longer than normal. That's why you get a timeout when you first try to connect to the EBS. Set the timeout high so that there is no time-out or save the password in a package variable so that it is available for the duration of the session.

  I have an EBS 12.1.1 installation of windows (with database demo of vision) and I would like to have a graphical tool (instead of sqlplus) to browse the database of the ebs. What tool do you offer me?
  
  I tried sqldeveloper oracle (version 2.1.1.64.39) but I do not know what settings should I use to get a valid connection.
  
  I can enter the following data:
  
  User (I tried the system)
  Password (I tried the Manager)
  (Basic, SYSDBA) role (I tried both)
  ConnectionType (Basic, TNS, LDAP, advanced) (I tried Basic and TNS)
  Host name (I tried EBS1-> our hostname)
  Port (I tried 1521)
  SID or ServiceName (I tried SCREWS)
  
  But the result is:
  Oracle-01034: ORACLE not availableORA-27101: there is no shared memory realm
  
  Because I can connect via the web, the db should be running...

  All Oracle services I could find are running (except OracleJobSchedulerVIS). Still no web EBS possible connection are where all the scripts needed to run? How looks like a "departure from normal EBS? Is there a 'start' main script that triggers all the processes and services?

• Oracle ebs multiple simultaneous, locks, the user cannot connect to app.

  We known aircraft crash yesterday afternoon, Oracle EBS app users cannot connect in the app. We noted the very strong 70 to 90% charge in the Grid control and several blocks, a work of rman always running and a job of running stats. However looks after killing an app report dbms_scheduler job, we have solved the problem.

  But this morning, we see still cpu load on the grid of control operations and 70% all huge red and simultaneous locks.

  IM currently able to connect EBS 11i (11.5.10.2) use DIscoverer desktop 4 (4.1.48.06) on RHEL 4

  I installed DIscoverer desktop 11 (11.1.1.3.0) and try to connect to the same instance ebs 11i but he says

• Problem connecting to Oracle EBS

  Hi all
  
  I have the dbase startded and Apps with success. When I tried to connect to applications via the web (http://testserver:8000), the I get the "Forbidden" error
  
  You don't have permission to access/index.html on this server. »
  
  EBS with database Vision was operating normally until it stopped accidentally. I restarted the server and run startup scripts:
  1 addbctl.sh and addlnctl.sh and
  2 adstrtal.sh
  The scripts run successfully.
  
  However, since a workstation, when I tried to connect to the example VISION application by entering http://testserver:8000, the above error.
  
  How can I fix the error above?

  Verify that all services are running.

  If please run AutoConfig and make sure that it ends successfully.

  If you get this error, make sure that apache log files for more details.

• SE connect/Cancel button on the page of connection of EBS is showing a very small size

  We have 5 servers, servers of two CM form and an active CARS DB
  
  When the login of the EBS is done with a particular server GEC, the button url to connect/cancel under user name * / password * watch a small size up, but when we make the connection with other URLs of form server, the size of the Login/Cancel button appeared on a normal size...
  
  What could be the cause, please help as soon as POSSIBLE.

  Are you using the same browser... ? try to bounce entire applications and clear the orphaned process and then try to connect.
