You mean, you didn't keep the original file (the one which the PDF has been made)? Anyway, you can download and use the free 30 day trial of Acrobat to make your editing or conversion to Word: Download Adobe Acrobat free trial version | Acrobat Pro DC

    Greetings Olivier

This is certainly not the way in which a book is (supposed) to create. If that's what did your former editor while they are far from professional and gave you the wrong idea of what a good flow of editing is.

In any case, you've got your response several times now, and some very good advice on how it should be done. It's up to you how to proceed from here.

  • How would I have Adobe Reader allows you to edit text in PDF files on Android phone messages, and then print on a HP PRINTER?

New to this and need to do it right now (ASAP). How do I change text in PDFs and print them on a HP printer!

    Hi Shortperson1,

You will not be able to make changes to the PDF using Reader App., you will need Acrobat application installed on your computer to edit PDF files.

Using Reader App you can only add comments to the PDF, not more possible editing.

  • Editing text in PDF files - only the numbers lack police

When you change the text in a PDF file (created in InDesign), I can change all text with the exception of all numbers. When I try to enter a number, I get the message "the police XXXX is not available or cannot be used in the original edition. Acrobat uses the Arial font in its place. " He then places other characters in his place - do not know what they are, but they are not numbers. Someone has an idea what is the cause?

Sorry, I found my answer here:

    https://forums.Adobe.com/thread/1582291?q=Arabic%20numbers

Apparently, the NUMBERS HINDI under Preferences\Languages checkbox is checked default. This ridiculous default resulted in Arabic numerals when editing of the PDF in Acrobat. Editing text was fine, but every time I type a number, it would seem that the Arabic characters.

Software that comes with the printer HP Photosmart Plus B209a there OCR package in it. However, we can always install it by simply following procedure below:

    (1) perform a disk cleanup. (Start > all programs > Accessories > system tools > disk cleanup)

    (2) open the link below and save it on desktop OCR software

    FTP://ftp.HP.com/pub/Printers/ocragent/hpcom_OCR_140_003.exe

    (3) run the file after the download is complete.

    (4) if the error is displayed to indicate "this update does not support all of the HP device... ", do not close the message. It is very important.

    (5) open file folder

    (6) file open 7z

    (7) find the folder "ocr_web_pack".  Copy this folder on the desktop.

    8) click OK in the error message

    (9) open the "ocr_web_pack" file that is copied on the desktop and double-click "SETUP. "EXE" file

I want to know that I can not change (cut the lines/words/phrases) in PDF files on my laptop... can u help please...

I have downloaded even hv a software, impossible to do?

    Hello Jonathan New Zealand,.

Addition information of Santosh, please let me explain further.
If you have only downloaded a PDF reader software as Adobe Reader which can be downloaded for free, you can only read the file you cannot change the file. You need to download or buy PDF Editor so you can edit and read the PDF file.

Hope this explains a little further.

  • Editing a PDF file created in another program

Can someone point me down on this?

When I go on change just has a bunch of seemingly random editable text boxes everywhere.

Edit PDFs of way must be avoided as much as possible. They were supposed to never be edited like that.

The solution is to go to the format of the original file used to create the PDF file, edit and then generate a new file.

If you do not have access to this file, you can try to export the PDF to a more editable format (Word, InDesign, etc.) and then work on it, but it's a long shot...

  • Newly installed Acrobat Reader DC will not edit a PDF file

I downloaded Acrobat Reader DC in order to be able to modify a PDF file. However when I click on the toolbar 'Edit PDF', no tools are displayed. When I click on 'Tools' and under 'Edit PDF' select 'Open' a blank page opens, (not a page with the document for editing). I tried with a few documents. Sometimes the document desired "flashes" for about 1/4 of a second when I select 'Edit PDF - Open', but then it disappears.

I said in the first post.

"Adobe Reader cannot edit pdf files. When you click on edit, just asking you to purchase the full version of Adobe Acrobat. If you have purchased, you must download, install it and use it to open and edit your pdf files. »
