Element in the footer display.

I'll have a field in the page called ID applicant and I need to display the records as needed. I'm grouping so each page has a new candidate with records. Now I need to display the name of the applicant in the foot, and the name should change in each page according to the name of the applicant in the proceedings.

If you have inserted the code in the foot and it does it work? What is the problem you are having?

Thank you

  • RPAD space in an element of the display does not work?

    4.2.1

    THM 2

    Hello world

    I tried to add space on a point of display value using something like this

    It's the source of the displayed item

    Select rpad (table_column, 10, ' ') table.

    It shows the values less spaces rpad (works fine on sqlplus)

    But if I put something like

    Select rpad (table_column, 10, 'X') table. It then adds the XX correctly.

    I changed the display point setting

    Escape special characters to-> no and limited character-> all characters allowed for this element of the screen. Still, it removes the white spaces. Solutions alternative or ways to do?

    Thank you!

    ryansun wrote:

    Not sure I understand this. You mean, I use the span with padding html tag in the sqls? Some of these items have sql as source, some static text based on certain conditions, then for one with sqls do you need consistent with html in the SQL itself?

    Are you suggesting that I can make detailed recommendations on the Visual presentation and formatting of the page without being able to see content that requires formatting?

    Display elements are rendered as HTML span elements with the name of the element used as attribute to the ID of the item. You can apply the style to an element by using a style attribute in the HTML attributes of the element form of property element, or by using the name of the element as an ID selector in rules in the page CSS CSS properties. You can apply styles to several elements affecting a class attribute in the item property for Classes CSS to HTML form elements and using them as a class selector in the rules in the CSS page properties.

    The possibilities are endless.

    Just to be more precise. What I did is, I have a page on load before the process of the header, where I compare the lengths of some of the elements of the page, and then set a page_item with the lpad value and then use it in the select sql when filling out the element.

    This will work only if the values are displayed using a monospaced font, which is rarely the case in the web today (and ever default in the APEX). Most of the time ' 0 'is wider than 1', W is more broad that 'i's and spaces are somewhere between the two. By using this method with a proportional font, these differences in pixel will simply never become more fussy.

    We'll see this for real, with none of the usual simplification...

  • can we write the value of a data element that is not displayed in a form?

    Hello

    I work with Oracle 9i forms developer. While the practice sessions, I'm for any writing a value to a data element that is not displayed in the forms. can I do it or not? for example: to insert the value into the field the orders of the form module (orders.fmb) order_information table order_total. This table can be found in the oe schema.
    I think you understood my question.
    Please help me.

    Yes. It is because the article in this form is always calculated and not extracted from the base. To write to the database, put an extra point for the total in your block and CONTROL integration prior and PRE-UPDATE-trigger, assign the value of the element automatically calculated in the control block for the item in the CONTROL unit, as

    :ORDER.TOTAL:=:CONTROL.TOTAL;

  • Package in the page displayed as a text element

    Hey guys!

    I need to respect the width of a cell respectively point page and we tried to place
    <span style="width:43px; word-wrap=break-word">
    in the cell element attribute section.
    I tried also to concatenate this tag span directly in sql and so on. However, is displayed as text resists all me trying to limit its width.

    You have something to share with me?

    A lot of thanks and brgds,

    SEB

    PS: It seems as if cell custom attributes work only for input columns...

    Try to put style = "display: block;" width: 200; "overflow: hidden" in HTM form element attributes. A display element should wrap the text as required. You can also use overflow-x: hidden; overflow - y: scroll. See this example:

  • multiple display select the elements of the

    Hello

    I have a multiple selection element where the user can select multiple items. I want to display selected items in the next page - one value at a time.

    example:-If the user selects a, b, c of the multiselect post I want to show in the next page as
    one
    b
    c

    what I get is a, b, and c in the next page when I view the value of the item & < item_nam >.

    How to display selected items multiselect one below the other?

    Thank you

    Hello

    One way is
    Create dynamic content of PL/SQL and enter the source of the region, something like

    DECLARE
      l_arr APEX_APPLICATION_GLOBAL.VC_ARR2;
    BEGIN
      htp.ulistOpen;
      l_arr := APEX_UTIL.STRING_TO_TABLE(:P51_EMP);
      FOR i IN 1 .. l_arr.count
      LOOP
        htp.listItem(l_arr(i));
      END LOOP;
      htp.ulistClose;
    END;

    Change P51_EMP to your name of the multiselect element

  • Question about the fast display element

    I'm playing with the new features and have found something I thought was weird/unfinished. In the item Quick View, you can rearrange your html quite easily by drag-and - drop tags in other areas of the list and moves of a given element in the code. It seems quite interesting for those who have a little sloppy with Cut and Paste and/or are not really all that only familiar with the code.

    All this seems to work, except in tables well.

    I can't move a table tag related to a table in the quick view of the item. I do not understand is not able to move a < tr > or < td > out < table > which causes a few problems of validation, but that move a < tr > in the < table > reorganize your lines appear as obvious as well as usefulness goes. Only one < td > leaving the front of < b > all the way to rearrange the order of the cells also seems that it would be a "given".

    Was there a reason moving the table rows in the table or cells in the row is not possible within EQV or is supposed to be possible and I need to take a look at my cache or Pref?

    The tables are quite surprisingly complex considering the addition of colspans and rowspans in your way of thinking. I'm pretty sure that tables were left out of the thing slide / move because of this complexity and their rare use for page layout.
