• I have archived emails from a local folder and now they are missing

  I managed to restore them in local folders from a backup. Either way, this procedure was not without White knuckles because I had added a subfolder from the backup, and TB just went crazy mad.

  This isn't for the faint of heart. I can attest that things can go very wrong. Don't forget to save the profile before trying it and makes no changes to the profile while tuberculosis is open.

  I have an IMAP account expired with emails in it I can always access with Tbird as they have been downloaded I think (I can connect is no longer on the server account). I want to move these to the local folder so Tbird will not ask me the password whenever I start to access other email accounts. I tried to move and copy the emails from a local folder, I created and neither worked. How can I do this? Emails must be on my local drive somewhere or I could not open and read them at this stage.   Then you should be able to copy your messages in folders the IMAP account on the local folders account.

  The problem is that the server that hosted email no longer exists, so I can't add it back again. Is it possible to import in Thunderbird yet, so I can always analyze them? Or someone has a suggestion on how I can access these emails in a simple way? I need to be able to search through them, as I already do in Thunderbird.

  In general, in IMAP, all your messages are stored on the server and Thunderbird downloads the temporary copies in order to accelerate the search and navigation. Since there are parameters for the amount of content in the message to download, or only the headers, there is no guarantee that you will have messages in their entirety.

  For future use, if you have an IMAP account that is connected and the desire to preserve the independent messages from the server, you must copy them to a place outside of the IMAP account folders connected, such as local folders.

  I posted it here because there is no whole final forum for the Windows OS line.  It is a problem that has been around since Microsoft made Windows XP and, frankly, I'm tired of it.

  I have some backup players; one that I'm pretty much every day, whenever I have the machine and another every two weeks of use.  I make sure they are always attached to a specific USB port so that the computer does not change in response.  But still, every three months or so, the drive letter handling these jumps from one to the other.  I run a Web site today and use a p2p Manager to transfer files to my machine, but most of them depend on the drive, so I could really do without what is happening every three months... all because your company won't repair it or provide an intuitive, ToolPart beginners' of the Windows operating system, forcing to keep a disk permanently assigned to the same letter.

  I know that this is part of basic programming because it is something that Microsoft has simply been unwilling to identify and correct.  I know also there are millions of people like me who suffer from this problem.  For the love of God, please make this tool a priority for Windows 8 and build one for Windows 7/Vista!

  I don't think that the USB ports are wired so that the computer OS is informed of the port which has been consulted.

  I also doubt that you will get Microsoft to change at this point.  As a solution, I give my readers a volume name, and so I don't know which drive is no matter which drive letter that has.

  It is usual, but not absolutely necessary, for the emails to download from the server to the TB Inbox e-mail account and then delete them from the server.

  I personally, clear all but the last 30 days on the server, whereas between my monthly backup and emails on the server, I was able to recover most, if not all the mail loss.

  You could get the emails on the server, but you will notice that all dates seem to change the date when you put them back on the server.

  I use BIS and in the last two months emails started to disappear out of my blackberry handest. They disappear usually within 45 minutes of receipt.

  I did a hard reset and I have about 160 MB of free memory, but it still keeps happenning. I use Outlook to check my email, but this happens even if my computer is turned off while Outlook is not running.

  Thus, your Yahoo email is reconciled with its web server.

  Which means, if you download this email in Outlook, and your Outlook settings to delete email from the server, it will inturn also remove on your BlackBerry handheld.

  And, if you read or delete this e-mail in your Yahoo webmail, it will inturn also being marked read or deleted from your handheld.

  Together check where you set your email, to disable the removal of e-mail.

  And on your device, you can access your Messages > Options > Email reconciliation and extinguish the reconciliation.

  Help! HP Pavilion DV6-2150US entertainment / windows 7 64-bit Home. Can only see u, all tube videos from other webs (nascar etc) flash/flickering or black screen only hear the sound.   My problem has been resolved by doing this. Hope it can help others with the same problem, insertion of line on hotmail endangered & have audio but not video on the videos. I was told that my internet explore can be a problem (and I have not checked which yet) but someone downloaded Mozilla Foxfire in my lap top. So now, I use to get to my email and the problem disappeared. Insertion line stays put, see what I download to send. Also can now watch videos of the EPB. !!! I had these problems for 5 months, yahoo so go! Good luck & hope this helps.

• Lost emails from the Inbox

  I lose emails from my Inbox for the last 3 days.  I'll read an email and it will disappear from the Inbox when I close.  It is not in the Recycle Bin (I'm deleting it).  a few times, I noticed an alert message.  When I press on it to open it to read the entire email disappear from the Inbox.  This is a new twist in the last 3 days.  Any help?

  I ended up gong synchronization then 'Manage synchronization' and changing some of the selections as the delivery format and content of e-mail.  This seems to have fixed the problem right now; so I will say that this issue is resolved.
