  I try to activate the hyper-threading technology on my new HP DL380 G6 ESX 3.5 servers, but even if it appears in the configuration as 'active' tab, no VM cannot detect.

  Why a virtual machine it should detect? It is not presented to the virtual machine as a feature. It increases the planning on a vmkernel level options, but that's all.

  Thanks for the reply old_geekster.  I understood what I needed for my HP Envy and who had to press F10 at startup, not ESC.  Once I press F10 fast during the start I in the Boot Manager and has managed to 'Turn on' virtualization, which is what I need to activate "Hyper-V" in the operating system, which then allows me to use Microsoft and VMWare virtualization.

  I recently installed Windows 7 on my hp envy 700-414 and missing a lot of pilots. A user by the name of banhiem gave me a link to download the drivers of a 700-230 hp envy. After I did it, I clicked on another link, it gave me to install the Realtek network controller. Whenever I tried to install the driver, it would tell me that I did not meet the requirements. Other drivers work fine now, except the network controller. The steps on how to fix this error would be greatly appreciated.

  Need to get virtualization running on my HP Envy 700 - 529 (bought on sale at BestBuy.ca) running Windows 10.  Have successfully installed all the object (I think), but get the following error when I try to commit to Hyper-v:

  Can anyone offer any assistance?  Update the chipset using the downloaded from the section "Software and Drivers" http://support.hp.com site seems not had any effect (although I don't quite know I use it correctly).

  Took me to upgrade to a HP Envy 700 060, this work very well when I book in windows, however, I'm using Linux Mint 17.2.  When I put the hard drive in the PC, it hang at startup ' repair automatic Prepairing.  I can book for the CD of Linux mint and see the files on the Linux disk.  What I want to do is boot in window 8.1 with installed theLlinux drive, then make a copy of the files on the hard disk, Linux, before reinstalling the Linux mint.

  That's why does anyone know how to disable HP auto repair facility so it starts in Windows?

  Note in the Bios, it seems not possible to book specifically from a hard disk, the option appears to be limited to my latest Bios PC options

  He sees the Linux bootloader and tries to fix it. You need to install your OS' are in conjunction with each other. Perhaps you could try booting from a floppy disk to repair GRUB and see if you can not solve the bootloader to enable either Windows or Linux at startup but that is the only way I know Windows and Linux running side by side... have GRUB (the Linux boot loader) on the main hard drive and it comes up with an option to start. If you want to run the OS' are independent, disconnect the drive that has only the other OS on it.

  Hello, I just bought 2 HP Envy 700-010xt Destkops...  I went through the rudimentary search the bios but there is nothing that mentions virtualization...  Can someone tell me how to activate specifically for this model of pc virtualization?  It has a processor intel core I770 and all, but the "virtualization enabled in the firmware" show when I run msinfo32.

  In the 'Advanced' option I see "hyperthreading" and it is.

  Ok. Solved the problem. I went into the BIOS. I was looking in the configuration menu of the CPU. There is a feature called Intel Hyper-Thread, what confussed me - sounds a bit like Hyper-virtualisation. Enable virtualization functionality is under the Security menu - a bit intuitive counter. It is now activated and I've managed to enable Hyper-V platform successfully.

  Just bought HP ENVY 700-000z Desktop PC equipped with 8 and need to know if I can install Windows 7 on this computer without problem.  My work does not allow the use of Windows 8.  If I can install Windows 7, what version of operating system do I need to buy to do a clean install.

  HP does not recommend installing Windows 7 on a computer comes with Windows 8, and it will support the installation of Windows 7. HP doesn't provide drivers for Windows 7 and the appropriate drivers are not available for the hardware in the computer.   Make sure you create your media recovery HP or USB Flash Recovery discs before you edit or change anything.

Please download the Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool to create a Windows 7 SP1 USB Flash drive.

  Most of the Windows 7 drivers from the drivers of HP Pavilion p7-1299 c desktop PC page should work on your desktop HP ENVY 700 - 000z CTO. Both models use a variant of the motherboard HP Jasmine. If you have missing or unknown devices after installing the drivers, please post the "Hardware ID" Device Manager for devices as shown in the example below.
