Encapsulating numbers in oracle 11 g of the reports

Hello

I can't wrap the fields numbers, they turn up as asterisks, if I lacking width, I tried to adjust the height of the field, elasticity vertical adjustment to expand or variable, but there were no desirable results. I can't find anything on the packaging, with the exception of these parameters of elasticity. Any help would be appreciated

Wait, you want to encapsulate a number and post it in two lines? I think therefore you will need to convert to char previously.

You may need to create a place to hold the analytical value converted to a char or use a format trigger, but as it is a very large number if you want to use a mask, I think that you will need to enter a very long mask, like "999G999G999G999G999G999G999G999G999G999G999G999G999G999G999G999G999G990D00".

because I don't think that oracle has something like masks excel: #, # 0.00

    Hello

How can I call oracle stored procedure in Oracle reports. The procedure takes a variable of type object and as a parameter out.

    Thank you
    Groult

Create a package in your report and set a variable of this type of object in the package body.
Write a procedure in your package that checks if your variable is empty, and if this is the case, call your db-procedure to fill the variable.
For each value that you want to display in your report, create a functioncolumn that calls the formlery procedure written in your package and then returns the requested of your object type value. In the available build ontop the columns function created fields.

  • Oracle Discoverer of desupporting?, can I use the reports of 10g in R12

    Hi all
I've heard so many times that Oracle will stop in favour of Oracle Discoverer reports.
But at the same time, I can see the available literature on Support.oracle.com to configure the report of Discoverer for R12.
Report of discoverer and discoverer BI are two different products which integrates differently with Oracle.
Maybe my questions is very naïve, but want to have a correct answer.

Report generation of discoverer using Discoverer 10g working for 11i will work for R12 as well?

    Thank you

  • What is different between the and oracle tutorial and taken that auto study of oracle - in addition to the cost?

I would take oracle 12 c performance and tuning.

I noticed its a lot cheaper as self-training which is web access for a year.

However, self study does not prepare you as well as the oracle himself.

    Thank you Roger

UO has four types of training: classroom, virtual Live, training on demand and self study.  The first three are all variations on the same thing: a human being a conference accompanied by a Powerpoint presentation.  The only difference is the specific method of delivery.  I took a dozen or more courses in the classroom, when I worked for Oracle, but none of the other three.  I don't know that they still existed at the time.

Self-study courses are completely different.  They are not recorded training sessions (or they would cost the same as TOD). They seem to be created by Skillsoft computer-assisted training courses. There are some demos available on the OU Web site. Go to the following URL and click on the tab "Demos'", just above the section asking you to select a product area:

    Self-study courses | Training | Oracle

That said, it is not yet an option available for the course self-study: Oracle 12 c database: performance management and Tuning.

    Hello

I think that your CPU is overloaded by your stress tests. You have one VCPU with 2 wires (2 LCPU), right? And the load average is greater than one. You have time DB which is not counted in (CPU time + wait events) and which comes no doubt from time spent in the runqueue.

    > Oracle recovery logs is not properly configured on this server, as in "Top 5 events of waiting", there are 2 for oder

It is an error in statspack for show "log file parallel write here." This moment is historical and is included in 'log file sync '. And I don't think you have to redo misconfiguration. Waiting for 1ms to commit is ok. In OLTP you should have more than one validation in a user interaction so that the user don't worry not about 1 m in batch mode, unless you commit to each row, 1 DC to commit should not increase the total execution time.

The fact that you have a lot of line lock (enq: TX - line lock conflict) but very little time (on average 97 ms) is probably a sign that testers are running simultaneously a charge affecting the same data. Their set of test data is perhaps too simple and short. An example: when stress tests of an order entry system if you run 1000 concurrent sessions, ordering the same product to the same customer, you can get this kind of symptoms, but the test we unrealistic.

It's a high activity of 2000 calls per second, 52 transactions per second, user. But you also have low average active sessions, so the report probably covers a period of non-uniform activity, which makes the averages without meaning.

So note to tell about the events of waiting here. But we don't have any info about 39% of DB time devoted to the CPU which is where something can be improved.

    Kind regards

    Franck.

All files generated by a coil in sqlplus receive ownership of oracle: dba instead of the user of the BONE started sqlplus and run the script. There's a file with users owners of BONES of the coil.

Script launched in until OS user 'A' on the 'A' server which launches sqlplus, then connects to a remote database through a service of tnsnames.ora as another user of the database and the results of this script are spoulées on the server "A".

The file queued on the old server is written with rw-rw-r: read write user, group read the writing, reading and possession header that is the user of the OS. The file queued on the new server is written to rw-r-r user: reading writing, reading group, public reading and ownership oracle: dba.

"" The user then has no privileges to modify the file and continue the process of transmitting the file, editing and deleting the file for the next set of commands. This allows us to keep the possibility to migrate to the new server we are unable to process orders.

    $ORACLE_HOME/bin/sqlplus - s user/password@prd1 @./script/CustomScript/R12_OM_UFPC-oracle.sql

Background: old server running 4.8, Oracle 10.2.0.4 OEL

New server running OEL 6.5, Oracle 11.2.0.4

    Tested so far:

File and update umask to 0002 instead of 0022 is now generated as rw-r-r. However, the property is still oracle: dba.

Update of ownershipt of $ORACLE_HOME/bin/oracle.exe of oracle: oracle (edi added the user to the oracle group) and chmod 6751 oracle.exe. This created several problems where crucial scripts, that is to say of sqlplus failed to run.

Added! chmod 755 output.file.name - OS user 'A' is not allowed to change to mod.

Added! command cp MV output file and that generated the file as a user of the operating system: oracle. It is a potential work around in case of emergency, but the developer would have to rewrite the countless scripts.

    Any ideas?

I have reproduced the behavior of the old server and am able to spool a file via sqlplus under OS user. No changes have been made on the remote database server. All the changes have been on the new server hosting a small 11.2.0.4 database on a server running OEL 6.5 32 - bit OS.

    (1) removed the sticky bit $ORACLE_HOME/bin/sqlplus using chmod u-s, g-s, o - s suggestion of Billy ~ Verreynne

    (2) modified the main group for the 'oracle' user match the user operating system applications, while maintaining membership in the groups 'oracle' and 'dba '.

-We are dealing with here EDI processes, so the Group was called edi.

    (3) modified property of the files tnsnames.ora and listener.ora for oracle: edi

    (4) restart the receiver

    (5) disconnect / reconnect

Script runs as expected, the output file contains the correct ownership and permissions.

Thank you all for taking a look and offering options.

  • Oracle/binding_permission_authorization_policy name of the resource

    Hello

I was setting this policy and everything works fine if I specify

    Permission class: oracle.wsm.security.WSFunctionPermission
    The resource name:
    Action of permission: *.

It is configured in the application with the application role related policies. Only users in the role are permitted to access the resource. I would like to link it to a specific resource now.

    I tried to change

    Resource name of: < < space of names > > / < < ServiceName > > # < < operation > >
    Action of permission: *.

    And

    The resource name for: *.
    Action of permission: call

    And

    Resource name of: < < space of names > > / < < ServiceName > > # < < operation > >
    Action of permission: call

None of which work. I know that I have the correct namespace for the WSDL file and the name of the composite service and operation. They all give me permission errors. Any ideas?

OK, an update, got the job by having the

Name of the resource as > />

    Action as >
