  I bought a HP Pavilion dv6-6b08sa jut.

  I love the laptop.  I did a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit with Service Pack 1 - updating because I didn't want to not all the software that HP put out there for me - no offense HP, I don't like really not all that.

  Anyway. Everything installed perfectly, except the SM Bus controller - I have a yellow! next to him - no drivers...

  I did the update of the autopilot in the Device Manager, found nothing.  I read that some people have tried to install the latest AMD / ATI graphics and chipset drivers.  So I made this using automatic detection and install the AMD software - he advised I have install the drivers of Version 12.4 mobility.  Yet the SM Bus controller has no driver.

  I had an old Dell laptop before, and the problem was solved by installing the card reader drivers (weird I know!), so I tried it also on my new HP - once again no still no drivers for SM Bus controller...

  Can someone help me?

  Here's what you need to do to the smbus controller...

  I have zipped and attached below in attachments, the raw smbus controller driver files to decompress and install manually.

  Download and unzip the file.

  Go to Device Manager and click the controller smbus needing drivers.  Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.

  Select her browse my computer for driver software option and navigate to the driver folder that you unzipped.

  Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and the driver should install.  Then restart.

  I chose the Toshiba driver page and I found two different Satellite L100.
  I hope that you have downloaded the correct drivers.

  Also, I found an Installation instruction on this page.
  I hope that you followed this guide line because the drivers must be installed in that order.
  Believe me, I have x times the drivers installed on my laptop and I had to follow the right order!

  I have a Dell Inspiron 620, 64 bit, Win7 SP1 running.

  Shows Device Manager does not have a SM Bus controller driver and fails. I used the Intel driver update utility to identify my driver, downloaded and installed the driver. On the download and install everything looked normal, but after restart, Device Manager showed no driver. I tried a manual install and got a Windows error

  I double checked the Intel driver version, it shows as 15.28.23.64.4101 (9.17.10.4101). When I check the properties of Intel HD graph, it shows that the device is functioning normally and the driver Version is 9.17.10.4101, which is what the utility update drivers, Intel said that it should be. Is that NOT the missing driver referred to in this driver in the device for the SM Bus controller Manager? I'm completely confused. Can someone help me? Thank you.

  Except for the error message in your OP said Intel HD Graphics, is not a chipset driver.

  There is a driver from chipset for your model here. It cannot be later, but install it and see if the SMB error disappears in the Device Manager.

  You can install it after you restart in Mode safe (reboot and press F8 before Windows starts to load.) Select Mode without failure + networking menu.)

  After you have installed the chipset (whether in normal or Safe Mode), normally closes and restarts normally. Then, check the Device Manager.
