  Hi all, I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade my memory of 8 GB to 16 GB. When I run SPeccy on my machine it says I can go to 16 and I have a free slot. In the manual it says my memory is expandable to 16 GB.

  However, when I rang Mr. memory, as my model does not have on their website, they told me I had only a slit and Speccy is often wrong on this issue.

  I understand that you want to know if your computer supports 16 GB of memory.  According to HP ENVY Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide of m6 , you have two slots and it will support up to 16 GB.  Please note page 1, Chapter 1, memory. You have two memory off-limits/extendable module slots.  If you are in warranty, you need to have a certified technician RESUME will do the upgrade to do not void the warranty.  If you do not guarantee a local store can do the upgrade or you can make the update yourself if you feel comfortable, but it would be at your peril.

  See also Chapter 3, page 16, section 13 for recommended memory.

  I have 16 GB of RAM (max for my computer) and I have the I5 processor.  I want to upgrade to an SSD.  I don't know what SSD for upgrade to or if my computer is equipped to handle the upgrade.  I was told to support AHCI or SATA3 upgrade to an SSD...   Your device supports the SSD even, it only supports SATA 2 SATA 3 is backward compatible with SATA 2.

  Well, it's not a socket 1155. It is an office and yours is a mobile processor, socket FCPGA988. You can upgrade the processor, but it will cost more than the value of the laptop. If you want to go faster, consider a solid state drive, not a processor upgrade.

  Hello! I think to upgrade my HP ENVY dv6 Notebook PC (serial number: product [personal information deleted]: C2Y41AV) screen, hd version with a full hd variation and also a new backlid keyboard, the mine's regular keyboard. I don't want demolishing the pc to know that I ordered the parts and they are not compatible. I tried to get into the user part, but I get an error:

I know that you are looking for parts was successful and I am in the list the regular parties as well as those that I want to upgrade the laptop with.  The problem is:

  (a) cannot determine the witch parts to order more.

  (b) in the page is not displayed if I buy other additional documents to those that I needed. IE: cables, etc.

  (c) where I can send the parts and where I can order and how to pay for them.

  (d) if there is a technician or a certified staff, I can contact for comprehensive services.

  You see, the problem is I bought this laptop a long time ago, and already it got replaced due speaker and fan, so the warranty problems made me a new (this product). But I noticed 3 small details on the screen and not complained of the fact that I've already lost 3 months of work in addition to 1 job offer and did couldn t afford to keep so just used the laptop as if it were on vacacions unpayed.

  Now, I thought to upgrade rather than buy the same hand he already has.

  You can install any HDD SATA 2.5 inches on the market as long as it is 9.5 mm thick.

  At this point, I think a 2 TB is the largest player like this on the market and that would work but be careful that it is not a reader of the thicker server, which will not work.

  Although I'm not an HP employee, I know that your warranty will not be cancelled if you upgrade the memory.  A caveat, however, if you do not damage the system, it is not covered.  Therefore, you must follow all the rules to work inside the computer.  Always touch metal strands in order to eliminate static electricity (ESD) before touching any other components.
