Eraser tool on a straight horizontal line

If I use the Eraser tool to remove parts of a straight horizontal line, the lines that result are not 180 °. I'm doing something wrong?

Use the path Erasor tool. Search in the Group of pencil on the tools Panel.

  • Brush/Pencil/Eraser tool will only create horizontal lines on Cintiq 12wx?

I use Flash CS3 on a Macbook really over a year old and just move to a PC this last week. Because I can't crossgrade my license of CS3, I downloaded the trial version of CC Flash to use between now and when my school will give me the full license next month. Last night, things were working very well except for a problem with the audio, do not sync to the top when I tried to play my animated film. When I open Flash again this morning, I couldn't even shoot. Whenever I try to use the Eraser brush, or record the Pencil tools, all the Flash are horizontal lines, like this:garbage.PNG

After slightly more than looks, I discovered that this does not occur when I use my mouse, but only when I use the stylus on my Cintiq 12wx (my computer is a Lenovo from Y70 Touch Windows 8, if it's useful). I'm trying to figure out what I could do or what setting I could possibly changed between yesterday evening and this morning could have caused this, but I am at a loss. I have the latest version of Flash and the latest versions of Wacom Legacy drivers. Because I'm so new to this version and the windows as a whole, I am quite confused and frustrated by this whole situation. The solution is probably needed, but any advice would be wonderful. Thank you.

Yep, reinstall the drivers Wacom worked. Thanks a ton.

  • Pen tool - blurry no vertical/horizontal lines

Im a noob, a big one at that. I found how to make straight lines, which was not easy but now when I try to make straight lines diagonal it runs always fuzzy. I have a logo that I made with the same result. The two vertical lines are straight and clean, while those who are blurred. Please halp.

Vertical and horizontal lines follow a line of pixels, diagonal lines only and are often anti-aliasing, they appear jagged. It is the nature of pixel imagery based, unlike such vector used in Illustrator.

  • Watermark 'text' appears as a horizontal line

I am trying to create my first watermark for legal deposit of the images. Following the instructions of the elements every day (recommended on this forum), I got regarding the creation of a file, activation of the text tool and choosing my fonts (Bradley Hand). When I click on the file and you start typing, all I see is a straight horizontal line. Thanks in advance for your advice!

You should use a high resolution image. Increase the font size. The drop down menu to end at 72, but you can enter a value manually. Try 100 or 150 to start.

  • Photoshop doesn't let me shift-click with the Eraser tool. Help?

Hi people! My copy of Photoshop CC 2014 doesn't let me shift-click with the tool eraser to erase a straight line with one single click to another (brush and other tools not working). Is this a known bug? Or make me something tilt that I don't know?

    Thank you!

One way to know is to reset the Eraser tool. If something was off this command he would set it back to default values.

Here's the text, the example tool, but simply select the Eraser tool and right-click to sound ' icon above the Toolbox.

  • Firefox installed on Windows 7 but the menu bar and icons is filled with small horizontal lines on the icons and the menu bar...

I installed Firefox 21 on a new Windows 7 operating system. The menu bar and the toolbar at the top of the windows is full small horizontal lines. Sometimes, there are more lines and sometimes less. It makes the icons and menu items almost impossible to see. So far, is that the Firefox screen that made it. Other programs I have installed so far doesn't do this.

    Any ideas?

Try disabling hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • Eraser tool numbers

There is an eraser tool on the numbers? I am tring to set up a floor plan and you must edit the shapes I made.

    Thank you!!

    Hi morgalily,

An "Eraser" applies only to images of card ("painting") bits. Images created in number are vector drawings, not images of 'painting '. The individual forms constituting the drawing may be deleted, have their proportions (proportions) have changed, or if the path with the tool "Feather", can have their forms edited, but they cannot be partially deleted.

The image shows a form of rectangle (square), inserted into the button menu forms. This form of "fixed" has a limited set of manipulations that can be applied to change its size, the width in the colours of ratio, line and fill height and orientation. The lower form consists of two rectangles, jointed together. The boundary can be set to none, but may not be partially deleted in order to eliminate the vertical line where both forms are meet.

The form at the top right is drawn using the tool pen in shape button menu. It was duplicated, then modified to produce the revised below form. Changing the shape is done by option clicking on the limits of the form to add a new control point, and then drag the control point to a new location. Three of the control points have been added to this form and moved to produce the new shape.

Although it is possible to establish a floor plan, it is not the easiest of tasks to perform with precision in number. Examples above produce in Numbers ' 09.

    Kind regards

Hello. I have windows xp. If you use Firefox as my homepage, I get interference terrible display of vertical and horizontal lines. When I switch to Internet Explorer I don't get them. I want to keep Firefox as a server.

Here is something you can try:

    1. Click on tools and then click Options.
    2. Select the Advanced tab
    3. Select the general tab
    4. Uncheck the use hardware acceleration if available.
    5. Click file and then click on exit.
    6. Launch Firefox normally.

Once you have followed these steps, you'll want to follow these establishments and see if the lines are gone.

Click the Help menu and select Restart with disabled modules.

Let me know if this has eliminated the problem.

  • 3 years old A100-001: when you play horizontal lines

    Dear everyone!

I have a laptop Satellite A100-001, almost 3 years, with 3 GB of RAM, nVidia GO 7600 256 MbRam VGA with Windows 7 Professional 32 bit OS (6 month) rather cool.

I use my laptop every day, especially for work or look at. I've never had a problem (and that's why I love Toshiba) until yesterday: when I play after a few minutes (10/05/15 to the maximum), the screen becomes bare with horizontal lines and freezes to the bottom. As I said, I've never had a problem before.

I don't really know what happened. Could someone tell me a solution?
I thought the loss of temperature control. I don't really think that the VGA card is dead (or at least I hope).

    Thanks for you support!

    Hello

Hmm the lines on the screen of the laptop could be linked to the question of the graphics chip, but you must connect to an external monitor to be 100% sure that this is a vga issue and not portable s monitor related problem

But in my opinion the vga graphics card eventually publish graphic chip starts malfunction due to a temperature higher while game what you think of this theory?

I think you are using that time for laptop and maybe don t cooling fans work properly because of the dust. How about cleaning of the cooling module?
Try a spray of compressed air. Such tool allows to get rid of dust and debris

    Good luck

  • PES 11 Eraser tool works not properly in Brush mode?

When I erase with the Eraser brush to 100% opacity erasing is done gradually, the line disappears with several traits/clicks of the "brush", until she is completely erased. In pencil, the line mode is clear instantly with the first click. How can I get Brush mode to work in the same way as pencil? I prefer much the round smooth brush eraser for pencil of circles in staircase. I do not know tool Eraser 6 PSE has worked with a brush 100% instant-erase mode, decreasing only a process of discoloration if opacity has a lower value. Adobe has this changed in PES 11 or is defective Eraser? Thanks for help.

    Try resetting the Eraser tool.

  • Eraser tool erases too

No news of Illustrator, but not super competent either. I started to use Illustrator to create technical drawings for illustrations of patents.

During the creation of contour lines, it would be great to use tool eraser to make them, but the tool Eraser Illustrator is heavy. The screenshots illustrate my point.

    • The first image are my contour lines
    • The second image is the Eraser tool erase... what I would like to have when it's over, that's exactly what is shown in the second image.
    • The third image shows the tool erases too.

I looked around for answers. I tried to expand the lines as well as using the Eraser tool path. Nothing works.

    Any ideas?lines-get-erased.jpg

I see what you mean that the gum is not precise, the acts as if there is a update loyalty after drawing.

You can draw a shape with the blob tool, instead

The transparency of use > make the opacity mask > and these settings, uncheck the box clip and invert mask if you STROKE of blob is black...

If you double-click the blob tool, you can take up to .5px fidelity, which should stay pretty true to the path you draw.

  • My Eraser tool does not correctly work :(

Please excuse my bad English, but this is not my first language.

When editing images with photoshop, I normally create a curves layer to adjust the color and then use the top Eraser tool to erase parts of it where I don't want the effect curves to be seen (I don't know if that makes no sense). I mean, instead of use the selections to edit different parts of the image separatedly, I use the Eraser tool because I found that it works better for me if I erase the effect of the parts of the image where I don't want it to be.

The thing is, this morning I just changed and it worked fine, and suddenly gum has stopped working on the curves layer. IF I create a new layer and draw a black line with my brush and try to delete it, it works. But it will not remove a portion of the curves layer.

I looked on the Internet for solutions, and none of them worked. I made sure that the layer was not locked, I checked the opacity, reset the tool and photoshop itself, then reset the computer, and I don't know what else to do. I use photoshop CS4 in a PC.

If someone could help me that would be very, very appreciated ():

    Thank you very much!!

Hello, I think you need to reset the default colors by using the D"" key.

In fact, you change the mask still, but you apply the colours in reverse order as if you were using the Brush tool.

Another useful shortcut: X that will switch the foreground and background colors.

  • Eraser tool connects the anchor points on a path

Hi all.  I am working on a logo and can't clear the path of a circle.

    Here's what I did:

First of all, I did an ellipse, then cut a piece of it with scissors so that it looks more like a 'C '.  Then, I used the pen tool to draw an upside-down 'v' in intersection with the circle. I'm trying to erase a little bit of the upper part of the circle, to make it line up with the vertical line of the "v", but whenever I try to use the eraser, he will eventually draw a line that connects two ends of the shape's anchor points, I just created.  Can anyone help?

  • InDesign - horizontal lines...

    Hello

IM putting together a book study and the need to create a page of blank notes with horizontal lines across it for people to writer, any ideas on how to do this?

One way would be to use a block of text with a paragraph style that includes a rule below, accompanied by a statement for each line you want. Another would be to use the line tool or the tool pen to make a stand-alone online, duplicate lines as many times as necessary, place lines top and bottom at the top and bottom of the page, select them and click one of the buttons spread to make them all the same distance from each. Remove or add lines and redistribute according to needs.
