You can ask the user to drive - extend documents so that you can view it with Adobe Reader.

  Go to the web site of the manufacturer of your computer.  They should have all the correct drivers for your computer brand and model.  Don't download them from any other place because who could cause problems.

  If I remember someone else reported the same problem yesterday and Nvidia suggested to reinstall OS x. If yo boot into Recovery and reinstall without formatting nothing should be lost but backup before just I case.
