I am trying to write the query to select data below

' Select 'EARLY', October 17, 11 ', ' of pm_own.sec_switches', 'inflate_protected_bond_sw', sww.inflate_protected_bond_sw, 'com.inflate_protected_bond_sw', 'CHAR', 99
the DB. Table_name

in the above query, the value 'sww.inflate_protected_bond_sw' should come from another table, so when I execute this query, I get the error below.

ORA-00904: "SNT". "" INFLATE_PROTECTED_BOND_SW ": invalid identifier
00904, 00000 - '% s: invalid identifier '.

So what should I put on to get the result.

It is not lines because you're citing the column names so they are considered to be literal values. Simply quote the constants as, as in your code, and EARLY 17 - SEPT-11.

This query works fine for an interactive report, but in a classic report, I get the following error: ora-01461: can bind to a long value only for insert into a long column

I don't know why I had received this error because I have not defined a long variable and I don't mean to insert a value in a column, so any help would be greatly appreciated. This query also works very well in SQL Developer, so only when you try to use it in a classic report do I see the error.

Perhaps due to the LENGTH of your query itself? You can try this: do a VIEW of your query and try to run your standard report against this point of view?

Error running query database

I have a web application written in CF8 with Oracle 11 g as primary server. This application has been used very often for over 6 years. Currently, I'm moving to CF10 and you only a small code change CF. When I ran the new application in my test server, everything seems to work fine except when it calls an Oracle Package. This action generates an error: error running database query the strange thing is all work before and after the call to the procedure, I tested using cfabort this Package Oracle still works in the production server (CF8), but not when it is called by CF10. My question is: are there changes for CF10 when you call a procedure? or is there any fix that I don't know? Error performing query of database appears when it hit to run cfstoredproc. The codes are exactly the same that in CF8, this model has not been changed. Exceptions 14:03:53.053 - database Exception: in /home/space/users/www/GL/glproc.cfm: line 93 runtime error query database.

I found the answer! In case someone out there also face the same question. In Administrator, Datasource Advance, go down and find: authorized SQL where there are checkboxes for Select, Update, Delete, Insert and one of them is to store the process checkbox. My box was not checked that's why ColdFusion is unable to call a stored procedure. I checked and recorded and I'm good to go.

the first time the error is "channel_desc not a group by expression"-desc is a varchar type there are 6 channels

II remove the group by clause and then pops up an error "" not only - group expression to group "".

Errors with 10.2.0.5 client 10.2.0.4 upgrade installation?
I get to level my customer Oracle 10.2.0.4 to 10.2.0.5 on Windows Server 2008R2. All the pre - req managed and spent. Oracle Universal Installer version is 10.2.0.5.0.

I get 84% installation and get the following error:

INFO: Some files that should be reinstalled by the Oracle Universal Installer are used by one or more applications.

Please close all running applications before proceeding.

I can't understand what is running. This is a new server app with nothing installed on the other. The only service of 'Oracle' I see is UNWTO which I stopped before the installation. The only application works Installer Yes. Only the user on the box it's me. Any suggestions?

Also, I checked the logs inventory and here is the result at the time of the error:

I suspect generic Windows process "svchost.exe" locks of some dll in % ORACLE_HOME%\bin. What happens at boot time, don't ask me why. Try the following solution (unfortunately you need to restart the upgrade):

(2) restart the machine.
(3) to rename the in %ORACLE_HOME%\bin
(4) restart the upgrade

On XP, I still see these "file in use" messages to plug and help the steps mentioned.

I am in the process of updating my site in CF5 to CF9 and I get a "query of query error" on the following code each time I have add the first point to my shopping cart. If I add a second element, the error disappears. This is the error I get. The line number refers to the Q of Q above.

Comparison = runtime exception. Comparison of Type incompatible Exception: on the left side and right side of the comparison operator "=" have incompatible types. Type of expression left side = "VARCHAR". Expression type side right hand = "DATE".

I tried a lot of things affect a 'string' type to the right, but nothing seems to work.

I would be very happy any help that I can get as I've spent countless hours trying to figure this.

Looks like the GetCart query is generated with functions to query coldfusion as opposed to a database query. It also seems that the QueryNew function has the names of the fields, but not the types of data. This means some trys to ColdFusion for the type of basic data on the first rows of data.

Or it could be something else.

Unexplained error with custom events

I have an error an once-in-a-blue-moon in my program, I need to track down.

I have it boiled down to a simple test case, where the error occurs more frequently (but still relatively rarely).

I have a program called MERS, which is separated from my main code HDT.

TCM can run on a separate machine, but for this test, it is on the same machine, running under the development of LV system.

This test simply opens a TCP connection to the TCM, calls for a "signature", it receives and stop the connection.

The part that opens the connection starts also the TCM RECEIVER running, and kill the connection stops this receiver.

Here's the code for the main event, and you can see that I get an error apparently because I get no response in MS 2000:
