Errors of registry and junk files

I analyzed my pc and it tells me I have errors of registry and junk files? How can I fix it?

What did you scan your PC with? For most of these programs are only good to extract money from your.

Leave the single register, unless you understand what you are doing.

Use Disk Cleanup to delete unnecessary files.

  • Began is registry and Windows XP error message not be loading not: trying to reinstall XP but error Reg stops the process

I have a home built computer works very well with Windows XP for about two years, but has recently started having a blue error screen registry which stops at Windows XP to load.

In part, the following text is displayed:
    Registry error
    Technical information:
    STOP: 0 X 00000051 (0X00000001, 0XE112E8C8, 0X005D4000)

I can get to the BIOS screen and things are defined as usual as I can tell.  I can get it to the advanced screen by pressing F8 but no matter what I click on, such that start in "Safe Mode" or "last known good configuration" always ends up to the blue screen with registry error.

I have the Windows XP disc and can pass it through all the preloading stuff, but when you get to the screen to choose the repair or start the new installation, no matter what I choose, it always comes back to the blue screen and error in registry.  Is there a way to correct the registry error so I can get Windows XP to load - from the disc or other?  If the registry error cannot be corrected, wiping my drive hard clean help?  If so, how do I?

Grasping at straws, on the off-chance that your video driver is at fault here, on the Hirens boot disk, you can go to
    Programs-> Editors / viewers-> Notepad ++
to start a text editor.  Once opened, go to file-> open and open the "Boot.ini" file located in the root directory of your boot drive.  "Find the line under" [Operating Systems] and add the switches "/ basevideo/SOS" (without the quotes) at the end of the line.  Save the file (file-> save) and try restarting your machine.  These switches should force your machine to boot standard 640 x 480 VGA video independent of any driver you have loaded.  If your computer starts, you need to reinstall the video driver for what video card you have (visit the website of your computer manufacturer).  If you do this, then you will need to re - edit the file in the way he had, it will start normally.

More information about the Boot.ini file is here:
"Switch options available for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 Boot.ini files"

If all goes well, if nothing else, the /SOS switch displays driver that has been modified to load before the crash.

My only suggestion is to use Hirens to back up your data before reinstalling Windows.

  • Error in registry, I deleted some parts of my registry and I need to know how to restore them. Specifically my display settings program.

I downloaded and safety program Internet and a registry cleaner. I ran the cleaner registry and nothing but problems have had since then. Later, my screen resolution resets to the smallest setting and when I tried to access my display settings to change, I got an error message saying:

"This file has no program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the control panel to define the Associations. "

The top of the said[C:\Windows\system32\rundll32.exe sign]

I need to know another method of changing my display settings, how do I restore my registry, or how to find the program that I need and how to associate it with my display settings.

And now you have a great illustration of why registry cleaners are garbage. And who knows what the "Internet Security" program that you have installed. This looks like a thug. If possible, use the registry cleaner and cancel whatever it was you did. Then search for malicious software.

No program is good to do things like that. Avoid all the
    like the plague!

Registry cleaning programs are all snake oil. Cleaning of the
registration is not necessary and is dangerous. Let alone register and
do not use any registry cleaner. Despite what many people think, and
What software record cleaning suppliers are trying to convince you,
have unused registry entries is not really make you hurt.

The risk of a serious problem caused by a registry cleaner by mistake
delete an entry you need is much greater than any potential benefit
    It can have.

Let me stress that neither me nor anyone else who warns the
use of registry cleaners never said that they always cause
problems. If they have always caused problems, they would disappear from
the market almost immediately. Many people have used a registry
cleaner and never had a problem with it.

The problem with a registry cleaner is that it carries with it
the risk of a significant problem. And since there is no
benefits of using a registry cleaner, running that risk is a very bad
    good deal.

  • Why have I not of huge amounts of data in the "JUNK" and "INBOX" files in a subdirectory of "folder? Profiles/*.default/Mail/

Today, I went looking for records in my computer containing files larger than 300 MB. To my surprise, two records that presented themselves are in... / AppData/Roaming/Thunderbird/Profiles/pt66rib2.default/Mail/mail. (my server). There are 355 MB of data in the "Junk" file (which has no file extension) and 577 megabytes of data in the "Inbox" file (which has also no file extension). When I open the files in the laptop ++, I found that the data is every email that's ever been in my Inbox. You can't empty the trash or move a file to the trash

If the above does not help, then see below:

Visit The FAQ XLab and read the FAQ on the waste problems. You can also try using Trash it! 5.1 to solve the problem. Or you can try this:

Open the Terminal in the Utilities folder, and paste the following at the command prompt:

    sudo rm - Rf ~ /. Trash

Press RETURN. Enter your administrator password when prompted. It will not echo to screen. Press RETURN again.

    Hello

1 how long have you been faced with this problem?
    2. don't you make changes on the computer before this problem?
    3. What is the brand and model of the computer?
    4. who help and support files are you referring to?
    5. what exactly happens when you try to open it? You get the error message?

cssauth.exe is related to the Client Security Solution.

Step 1: Try disabling startup cssauth.exe in the configuration of the system.

    Here's how:

    1. click on start > run.
    2. type msconfig and press ENTER.
    3. click on the Startup tab.
4 locate cssauth.exe, and clear the check box for this.
5 restart the computer and check for the issue.

Step 2: If you still get the same error at startup then perform the clean boot on the computer.

From your computer by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs so that you can determine if a background program is interfering with your game or program. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot".

    Reference:
How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    1. click on start and then click Run.
    2. type msconfig and click OK.

The System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

    3. click on the tab general, click Normal Startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.
    4. When prompted, click on restart to restart the computer.

I would also ask you to contact the manufacturer of the computer because the problem is with the client security software that is provided by them.
