ESXi 5.1: can't raise Ethernet to guest system

Hello

I tried a very simple configuration: a single machine virtual with CentOS 6.4 (64-bit). My problem is that the ethernet does not get a link.

There is only one card NETWORK on my system.

VMware.log shows this when I try to put the link:

Vim - cmd vmsvc/device.connection 19 4000 true

2013 06-29 T 16: 24:14.619Z | VMX | I120: Request received in VMX tools to set the option "synctime"-> '0'

2013 06-29 T 16: 24:14.622Z | vCPU-0 | I120: [msg.ethernet.openFailed] failed to initialize ethernet0.

On the commenting system, I installed vmware tools. lsmod shows that the vmxnet driver is loaded.

lsmod-l | grep vm

VMCI 85329 1 vsock

vmware_balloon 7199 0

vmxnet 18930 0

On the ESXi machine, I see this:

I couldn't find useful clues so far to know what is the problem with my setup.

Any ideas?

Thank you.

Try "VM Network".

  • ESXi 4.0 can be upgraded to 4.1 via the Update Manager?

    Hello

ESXi 4.0 can be upgraded to 4.1 via the Update Manager, or what I have to do it manually via vihostupdate.pl? Is it also possible to upgrade via CD offline? That is, will be the Setup routine recognizes the installed version and keep the configuration?

At least the Upgrade Guide describes Update Manager as a solution to perform the upgrade - 4.1 does not appear here yet however!

/ edit: Ah, I completely forgot that I must use the base line upgrade instead of Patch baseline. I can specify the ZIP file for the upgrade!

    Thank you

right, the Update Manager-> create-> home-setting baseline to day-> file-> download the .iso image file or image .zip of ESX (i) 4.1.

Hi This is my first post, I just installed windows 7 on a computer laptop Tosh A11 back and I have code 28 on the NIC, ethernet controller, peripheral system base and therefore cannot connect to the internet to download the updated windows drivers can help you?

There are many systems of Tecra A11, if your PC came with win7 preinstalled recovery discs would have installed the necessary drivers.

If it has not been provided with win7, or you only use the recovery discs, visit Tosh support and download the drivers for win7 on another PC, then transfer them to the PC to install, or via a memory stick

Unless you mean that your Tosh had a problem, that you thought a priest of maight reinstall

How can I change several download Sierra systems?  I have a Mac mini end of 2012 running El Capitan, over a mid-2010 Mac mini and MacBook Pro mid-2010 the two race Yosemite with limit of bandwidth on my internet connection and want to update all three systems in one download.  Is the process that apply with Yosemite and El Capitan (ie. Copy the Setup program to another location before you run it on the download system) still the way forward?  Thank you.

You can do this or DiskMaker X allows to create a key to install it.

    1. backup the registry by creating a restore point.
    2. go to start > run (or Windows key + R), type regedit and click OK.
    3. navigate to the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cla sses\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Wi ndows\CurrentVersion \TrayNotify.

I have a tablet that is using Windows Vista. Hard to drive tablets erased clean with Vista. How can I recover the Vista operating system? I hope that I don't need to go out and buy a new OS, because the Tablet is worth only a few dollars and can be lower than the price of a new operating system.

  • The serial number on the bottom of my laptop has been rubbed off. I can find it somewhere in the system?

    Original title: my serial number

The serial number on the bottom of my laptop has been rubbed off.  I can find it somewhere in the system?

    Hello

If the operating system is preinstalled, as it appears as the product key sticker was on the bottom of the laptop, NO, you will not find a product key that you can use for any purpose useful in your system.

The only product key you would find in your system is the manufacturer factory Installation product key that is used for multiple facilities only during the original production.

If you want to reinstall the operating system, contact the manufacturer and ask him either send you recovery disks to reinstall the operating system, what they should do for a small cost and also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your laptop to do the same thing, which is to reinstall the operating system.

None of these methods relocation normally requires that you insert a product key when reinstalling.

    See you soon.

p.s., serial number (SN: xxxxx) is to do with the identification number to the manufacturer if you ever contact them so that they can search for details of your laptop and there's nothing to do with the product key.

Where can I find all my States system restore? When I try to restore windows only displays the States from today until seven days ago.

I'm trying to find the States of up to a year ago.

    Hello

system restore points are not here forever

It depends on the amount of space reserved for restoring the system restore points on how you

and as a new one is created the oldest one is deleted

    http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm

There is a box to check points over 5 days which must obviously have checked back 7 days?

or 7 days a rough estimate on your part?

and here's how to change the amount of space for the restoration of the system increase or decrease to restore more or less points in the future
