Can someone please help? I'm no computer wiz only right following the indications :)

  Follow these methods and see if the problem still occurs.

  Method 1:

   

  Scan an System File Checker (SFC) on your computer and see if that fixes the problem.

  Method 2:

  Test the issue in a clean boot State.

  You will need to correct the links that begin with "file".

  Now that your site has been defined, you just delete the bad links and DW left write the good ones for you.

  Click on the yellow folder on the property inspector, and then select the target page.

  

  If your site is small, you can edit the links manually (remove the part in red)

  You will need to install the driver OR-Scope on the deployment computer so that the code you can call the driver. You can download the driver from our Web site at drivers and updates the link below by searching our driver OR-Scope and choosing the appropriate version. I also recommend that you include the NOR-Scope driver as an extra Installer for your executable. In the setup of window construction there is a category called additional installers where you can choose the drivers and execution engines to install with your executable file.   Uninstall your current drivers, or use the options to 'Roll back' through the back to previous drivers Device Manager.  If you opt for a second attempt to install drivers later, see if there is no option to right-click on any setup.exe where you can select the "Run as Administrator" option.  Temporarily disable all security installation software could also help.

  All .exe files are listed as type secfile on my daughter, running Vista laptop.  When you try to open any executable file, an error message is received "application not found".  I found several websites with the .reg files to fix the registry.  The problem is that none of the methods to enter the registry editor I've tried have worked, because it is also an executable.  I tried to reboot in safe mode to use the system restore and that will not open either.

  Replying to myself because I found the answer elsewhere: the association for .exe files must be "exefile".  "secfile" probably shouldn't exist, because nothing else seems to refer to it, but as I deleted the application there is probably no harm leaving.

  So, for someone else in my situation, the solution is to assign to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.exe exefile.

  If you do not have Open regedit, you can put this in a .reg file and double click it

  Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

  [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.exe]
  @= "exefile".
