  whenever I play this clip, the image of the other video clip appears, but the audio is still playing the clip that SHOULD play.

I even tried removing the clip entirely, thinking that it would solve the issue and something was wrong with this clip, but when I put another video clip on top is the same thing.

  You have navigated to the top on your timeline to see the higher slopes?

  my new laptop, purchased on 11/10/2014, has developed a worrisome problem that the screen seems split in two color/resolution/contrast different versions on the same clip video I can watch, he began to do what 2 days ago.

  What is happening on youtube, yahoo, bbc, itv, essentially videos online on any website... P A I N F U L L!

  It is quite upsetting to see that it is brand new in just 7 days!

  Only, I had my first lesson in flash a couple of days, but decided to venture building a toolbar of navigation with grouped clips. My intention is that once the mouse rolls, more clip of a particular movie, another video clip fades below (my version of a menu "drop-down"). Just to make that happen, the clip that fades, is also composed of particular video clips with their own behaviors (to the tween effects of reversal).

  I can make each individual movie clip behave as it should, but I can't make them work once they are assembled. I enclose a link that contains the file that I want to talk (submenu), in the hope that one of you, good Samaritans would take a glance and tell me where I was wrong.

  I hope that I've not absolutely shocked you guys with my level of ignorance.

  you add them by using their class name.  If they don't have a class name, give them a:

  var b0:ball0_mc = new ball0_mc();

  addChild (b0);

  B0.x = Math.Random () *(stage.stageWidth-B0.Width);

  B0.y = Math.Random () *(stage.stageHeight-Bo.Height);

  Similarly, for the other instances of the class you want to add.

  I am currently stuckon which, in my view, should be a simple problem :) the jist of it is as follows.
  
  I have a clip on the scene that is clickable.
  Once I clicked new creata video clip and attach a clip to the library.
  At this point, I also create a text field and add it as a child for new film clip.
  
  now my problem is I want the clip to be clickable so that a user can maniuplate it. However if the click click on the text field, I get an error saying: it cannot be converted into a clip. Yes I cast the object selected as a clip :) I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction of apporaching, like its drivign me crazy slow.

  Well, it's embarrassing.

  Moving the proposed code,

  I want to create a menu that is an mc on the main stage, not inside anything. "The menu itself has element inside, so something like this mainStage" navMenu "navMenuClose. I want the script of action on the main stage, but it does not recognize the navMenuClose button. I want the ActionScript on the main stage, because I also want the menu hide after each function, just for browsing. (The end is incase you change your mind) If I have the script inside the navMenu it does not recognize the menu, so I can't hide it from there. I hope that's clear, and I appreciate all help.

  If this code is on the timeline that holds navMenu, then you must include it in the path to target the navMenuClose...

  And do not use Event: MouseEvent in the argument of the function... 'Event' itself is a class name.  Use lowercase letters for variables... event: MouseEvent, or evt:MouseEvent

  You may be having a problem because tellTArget is supposed to get a string argument, and maybe because you are citing the frame number which must be given not (unless it's an image tag).  Since you are using AS2, try using...
