Export to PowerPoint

Hello

I searched but not found the answer to this one.  My client would like to export the Captivate project in PowerPoint so that she can make successive presentations.  I use CP4.

Can anyone share a technique or two to achieve this easily?

Thank you very much.  You are always great!

Gary

Hi Gary

Unfortunately, the Captivate development team seems to have made the assumption that people would only ever one-way streets for that. I mean here that work with PowerPoint and Captivate is like those roach motels. You know the saying, they can happen, but they can't check?

Probably the best hope would be to take the Captivate project and export the background images of the library. Then create a PowerPoint presentation using these slides. Of course, this also means that you would not see one of the objects on these slides or get a timing at all.

While it does not immediately help, you can consider submitting a form of wish (the link is in my signature) to ask the developers to consider the construction of this feature in a future release.

See you soon... Rick

  • I can't install the DPS to export for PowerPoint

    Dear all,

I'm following this URL: Digital Publishing Suite help | DPS to export for PowerPoint

We use Office 365 and I have problem like this. Thank you

    cant-install.pngaddin.png

Sorry for the delay in replying, but we believe that it is because you have the 64-bit version of Office installed, which is not supported by the DPS to export the PowerPoint Plug-in. You must use the 32-bit version of Office (which is what recommends Microsoft, see http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee681792.aspx)

  • Batch export to Powerpoint?

    Hello
I'm in a bind, I have to take about 500 .pdf files and export them into Powerpoint.

I know not how to for "export file to: Powerpoint presentation' but I want to create a Batch command for all my PDF files export to Powerpoint."

But this option is not in the Action Wizard... All other "export to ' options seem to be there but I can't export to Powerpoint.

Thanks for the help, I really don't want to export 500 files manually. If you have any suggestions, same Automator scripts etc. I am at a loss.

Add a Save command and then edit, and you will see it there. It looks like this:

  • Export to Powerpoint presentation problems

    Hello.

First of all, I must say that I hate PowerPoint presentations. Unfortunately customers like and sometimes I can not avoid.

I have always try to use this workaround consisting of presentation in Indesign and convert PPT in Adobe Acrobat format. It works and saves me a lot of trouble. BUT sometimes I need to change a PPT and this is the problem...

I don't have MS Office for Mac and need to do in Keynote. Works great, no. complains, but a layout of the elements to be a little awkward when I export to PPT ultimately. I do not use any animation, video or audio, just the text and images (I try to keep it's as simple as I can) and some text boxes cross images, imagens get non-aligned and problems of this kind.

Is there a way to avoid this? OR perhaps in PowerPoint PC it works perfectly, the problem is that when you open the PPT in Keynote?

    Thank you

    Luiz

PowerPoint and Keynote have different tools, use different fonts and effects, so a 100% bonus after conversion is often not possible.

You can try Open Office or Office of balance which are freeware applications which will open PowerPoint files without conversion.

Acrobat makes it sound so easy. Everything I tried results with the same "except cannot process this document...". »

    Hey design, rick

Please post on the Adobe forums.

Could if it you please let me know which version of Acrobat you are using.

Also, try to convert a different PDF to PowerPoint as this could be a problem with a specific document that is damaged.

If you get the same error message for each PDF document that you try to export, please check the Acrobat updates under the Help menu.

In addition, you could go for a repair option on the Help menu and check.

You can also check this link which deal with the same subject:

The PDF is scanned? There could be a chance that the PDF has been not properly encoded. So, please try printing your PDF for printer Adobe PDF. Then run OCR (for scanned file) and save the file as a word document to see if it works.

Please let me know how it goes. We hope to get your reply.

  • Remove the background of a PDF exported from Powerpoint

Hi, I have a copy of an exported PDF file of Powerpoint. I do not have the powerpoint file.

How can I remove the background of the powerpoint slides?

I want to just print the text.

To the user using acrobat x pro, to remove the background of your powerpoint slides in PDF format.

Go in Tools > Content > edit text & object > modify object.

Select the background image you want to delete, right click on it to remove it.

You may need to repeat a few times by slide, because the substance may contain more than one object/image.

It took me 15 minutes to find this tool! :-(

  • Invisible boxes displayed when exporting to PowerPoint

I use Acrobat 10.1.4 with PowerPoint 2010 on Windows 7 Home Premium.  I have a presentation that contains some opaque white boxes that I remove through the animation to make the text visible below.  I structure my remarks in this way because I have made alms of gliding and want my students to have to write short text.  Because I print documents on a black and white printer, I generate PDFs black and white (or gray).

Unfortunately, when I print in PDF from PowerPoint, choose black and white or in grayscale boxes appear as the black outlines, instead of being invisible (with the exception of hide what is behind them).  The problem occurs if I do the contours of the box white or invisible.  If I print in color, I don't have this problem.

Here is the document.  Can anyone suggest a work around?

    Thank you.

    Ellen

If it's a bug of Microsoft, not an Adobe one.  Why am I not surprised?

I worked around it by creating pages hidden rather than use animations.

  • PowerPoint presentation on a web page

I try to add a power point on my site presentation.  I use Dreamweaver for all my editing HTML and web design. I created a password protected page and I downloaded my presentation power point Microsoft sharepoint.  Using the powerpoint Web app I created HTML code and inserted into my Web page.  Initially, I was happy to see that the PowerPoint open correctly using firefox, but when I checked its function in Internet Explore or Chrome I got an error message saying "sorry, something went wrong.  I tried to access this presentation on another PC and Firefox, Internet explorer and chrome all gave the error message.  The only place where this file was successfully opened is on one computer and only with Firefox.  I spent 2 nights speaking with people at Microsoft to try to resolve this and we could not get this to work.  The gentleman who helped me has managed to create an HTML page in its environment and the file open correctly for him.  He asked if it was a problem of Dreamweaver so I came here.  I wonder if it's a Sharpoint authentication problem or would it be a problem of type of HTML file versus PHP? Any help is appreciated.

Powerrpoint is not standard web media.  So the end-user needs Add-ons to see.  Most of the people do not have them installed and cannot be disturbed for a web site.

Any chance you can rebuild or export your Powerpoint presentation to static images?  You can then use JavaScript or jQuery to scroll through slides.

  • Forcing the full screen and playback of slideshows Powerpoint [subject edited by Moderator]

I need the code for the function full screen on any device I choose... computer screen, ipad or phone and how to play the slide shows, powerpoint on the page of the site without opening in powerpoint or other video application?

In fact, you can export a Powerpoint slideshow to a file HTML (together), but the last time I looked, that exported the images slide show used (an approach long obsolete and generally terrible on the web).

  • How do I Import PowerPoint files in 2015 DPS?

    Hi all

I'm new to DPS so please go easy on me

In previous versions of DPS I see there was a Powerpoint plugin that created a Folio that was published in the environment of DPS. I tried the latest version of this and get the error that I don't have the necessary permissions to create a folio on the server... I suspect it is code "folios don't are not directly supported any longer".

So, how can you publish Powerpoint to DPS 2015? I looked for documentation with little success.

    Any help would be appreciated.

One of the things I want to see in this process is to know if a Powerpoint presentation is mapped to an item in a collection, or is it an application, or whatever.

    Thank you

    Simon

    Hi Simon,.

You'll need export your PowerPoint file to the previous version of DPS, then use the folio in 2015 of DPS migration tool to migrate to the new environment of DPS.

The latest version of the PPT export tool supports PowerPoint sections as markers to indicate where the presentation should be subdivided into different articles. It is very convenient for the migration process, I mentioned above, because the result will be individual items in the content section of the portal.
