  • Export to Word, different size of the letter l

I have exported a PDF to Word and what the letter s L seem to be thicker, but not indicated in bold when selected. Weird! PDF has unknown became Arial font in Word.

In addition, how do you get the 'properties' in a pdf file to display fonts in the file?

    Thank you, Sara

When you use OCR, Acrobat does its best to match the size, police and formatting characters. Expect this to give you a perfect export to Word is not realistic. Stand-alone OCR programs can do a better job. Adobe ROC is not designed to give you the best return on Word, but to give you the best fidelity to the file you are looking at. Other OCR programs can be optimized to give you a Word file that is more usable for future work.

  • Police corrupt Mac OS 10.6.7 on export of Word to PDF

    Hello

I have a library of Word documents that use our company cast: Officina Sans ITC Pro book. I've saved these in PDF using Word for Mac and the opening in Acrobat 9 Pro, without any difficulty.

Today, however, then Word will export and create the PDF. When the PDF file is opened in Acrobat, it comes empty and crashes Acrobat. I tried to export from Word to PostScript, but it does not work: "stack: / police-dict-/ ZCYKUX + OfficinaSansITCPro-Book."

The police is avialable on Mac. I validated the police and using font Finagler I cleared the cache. All this without success.

A pointer is six additional numbers in the newspaper of the PS, which lies before the name of the font.

Anyone got any ideas on how to solve the problem and start export cleanly from Word to PDF?

    Thank you

    Niall

I'd be willing to bet that without ITC officina is a PostScript OpenType font. Upgrading to Mac OS X 10.6.7 introduced a bug that affects applications like Word that depend on the capability of native Mac OS x to create PDFs and print. It seems to happen only with OpenType PostScript fonts.

The bug is well documented in this article:

Fonts OpenType PostScript troublesome in 10.6.7

Workarounds: backup until 10.6.6 or by using a different font.

  • Resizing of images to export to word

    RH5X
The results of my tests show that when exporting to word, pictures are resized vertically only if the image height reaches a certain value. For example, there is an image, call the 1.png/gif at 400 dpi, width: approx15cm (2362px), height: 1900px. There is another image, 1.png/gif at 400 dpi, width: approx15cm (2362px), height: 2208px.

Image 2 is displayed correctly in Word (15cm horizontally to 400 dpi), while the vertical resolution (not the height) of the 1st image is extended.

My tests show that on export to word, images that do not reach certain height (somewhere near 90% of length at least) run vertically in terms of resolution (of 400X400DPI to 400 X < 400 DPI, for example).

Is it possible to control or override this behavior (resizing images manually in word or re-import the manually is out of the question) and what is the reasoning behind it?

I'm afraid that it is yet an other HR related question I posted that remain unanswered despite many responses.

My first reaction was that we test with what appear to be unrealistic sizes even higher resolution screens could not absorb these sizes to HTML, other than by scrolling. The main point to pick up on size is that it does not surprise me that with this massive resizing, it won't.

It seems to be an easy fix however. Change your settings HR images incorporated into the related images. Also check my site printing problems. That covers a problem with missing images where the solution is to create an output with the linked images and follow a simple procedure to incorporate later. It will be interesting to see if when you know that Word makes the dipping is still distorted image of 1902 or do the two images and then are displayed as you wish.

    Let me know please.

  • Pages export to Word using the model of NEWSLETTER, issue 1 of page spacing

QUESTION: Anyone know if model NEWSLETTER (and or Museum Brochure) correctly export to .docx and how delete images or change the text boxes using these models so that I am still able to export properly?

I used the NEWSLETTER model, whose Pages can export to .docx and then import to .docx (I don't know if that Word can do, but Pages indicates it would be).

Problem: after the header of the newsletter, I removed the photo and have floating only the areas of text underneath.  I have two pages, the 2nd page export perfect (a page break separates it from the first).  On the first page, there are 12 small boxes in two columns under the heading who generously and easily fit on the first page.  It is not unlike the model I have, however, but with no photos.  I've seen many templates use these 'boxes' in support of the columns of text on a page, I don't think the floating box would be a problem.  However, I like the wish of floating boxes to learn how to use them so that they "work".

I saw immediately that the text boxes, I added, when export and imported .docx, lose their place and float under the heading (NEWSLETTER) (superimposed text, bad page layout).

I noticed the paragraph (carriage return, Enter) symbols, while I moved around text boxes, had become interlaced between the boxes, but not all - 1/2 at the bottom of page.  I then noticed that attempt to remove the superfluous paragraph runs in .pages (after repositioning all the boxes), but aggravated .docx, also the Pages do not leave even to remove the first symbol (it mystifies me, because the models do not appear to use paragraph at all except inside the floating boxes).

Finally, I added enough symbols paragraph so that there was a conflict between each text box, but not as much as Word decide to add a blank page.  I had to make sure the columns are too wide - they should be 1/4 "part we will tell.  THAT APPEARED TO WORK.  Pages exported and imported it point by point I was happy.

But when my Advisor job achieved and open in Word (the one for Windows 7), the SAME problem, I had before setting the transport returns appeared: the two decoders or four are overlapping the title, and set the person must have inserted transport returns before the first text box to move it all down (which seemed to work - but failed as an export and no not to use practice later).  'good work '.  Fortunately, I also have attatched a PDF export, however the person had asked to change their PLU using high government dell.

QUESTION: Anyone know if model NEWSLETTER (and or Museum Brochure) correctly export to .docx and how delete images or change the text boxes using these models so that I am still able to export properly?

Thank you hope that your next print job loose its staples.

Well, we have said for years in this community if you want stressless, architecture native document exchange with Windows Word users that you need to use the most recent Word available on the Mac.

Pages is not a clone of Word, and Apple does not guarantee that the open translation process / export from/to the architecture of document Word will remain faithful to the original of the document formatted.

    In response to your questions:

    1. If you have document objects in a model with x on their border, and then the object is locked. You visit the tab Pages to reorganize v5, and downstairs you can unlock these objects for further editing, or deletion.
    2. It is advice that we can give here will make sure Pages exports specifically to the word he already did not. The logic of translation is connected to demand, and it is the price of roulette.
    3. Continue the first paragraph.

  • Acrobat DC breaks export PDF Word

Just an info, only after installing Acrobat DC, my export to PDF in Microsoft Word for Mac 2011 is broken, I get a message from MS Word, saying:

(after the cursor runs for 3 minutes) "Could not convert the document to PDF Acrobat format is not installed."

Well, guess what? I was about to give you all the details about it, but I tried to register on a PDF from MS Word
by Save as... menu. And it worked. Then when I went back to try the file > save as PDF Adobe... menu, where the error message
came, it works now. I wonder if there was some lack of concordance between the two railways?
Anyway, we get always tag the PDFs from MS Word on Mac.

Thanks for responding in any case.

  • export to word, random letters

    Hi all!

    Little information on the situation:

A company needs to edit a PDF file, as it is obsolete, they were trying to copy directly from the PDF file to word, but because it depends on a lot of presentation and information on the images which failed epicly. They asked if I could look in a way to correctly enter in Word so that they could easily modify it there.

I've used Acrobat XI for export all converted correctly to Word, the layout and images and the layout was good.

The problem, I am now running is that in about a quarter of the document lines of text were converted into a mixture of capital and normal letters, apparently V, C, H, E, D, B, K are the biggest problem and perhaps only, unfortunately much used in these few pages. The strange thing is that, for the other 3 quarters of the document the same letters are not a problem and not converted properly.

I could get around the hard and change everything manually (or use find and replace in Word) to get correct them, but I thought I would try here first see if there may be an easy solution to what is happening. I tried Googling, but failed to find anything that fixed my situation or who looked like my situation.

Open the PDF file in PDF-Xchange editor showed the same problems that I do not receive in Word, so I'm now thinking the problem may be with the PDF file and not the conversion.

The font used is homogeneous on the whole document, both places with problems and no problem use "Frutiger" and converted to "Trebuchet MS".

A quick test (won't stop trying things myself) shows that change the text of 'Frutiger' to 'Calibri' makes problematic areas work well after the conversion. Is there maybe an easy way to change all the text in the file as part of the selection of every bit of the text is a bit of a pain. (For google!)

The document contains information that I can't share and so I can not put it online for others to see and apply their hand to it directly.

If anyone can offer help any with it's much appreciated!

If the document is not that big, it is probably faster to just try to start to edit. If you have tried the export, you probably have everything you can get reasonable. Maybe it's that the original document has been analyzed and the results are of the OCR. Even for a large document, it may be faster to editing everything just to start. Sorry, but that's probably what I would do.
