So, if I understand it, the steps are

(1) load the xml files in db.
(2) extracts the xml clob data and stored in a clob
(3) convert the clob blob
(4) to decode the blob in the base-64
(5) print the blob converted to the os file

(1) to load the xml files in db
(2) extracts the xml clob data and stored in a clob
(3) pass the clob to the base64 binary data, and then store the result in blob
(4) write blob data to o/s using UTL_FILE writing in raw mode.

The foregoing is the pdf to xml conversion. But what I want is PDF to I want to get the good tag named xml (as in adobe acrobat pro Tools-> form-> shape options more-> export to a file for-> xml). I designed my pdf in adobe livecycle designer 7.1. Thanks in advance.

    -Ganesh.

This code turns into a completely different XML schema, I don't think that it is designed for the export of the form at all. There is JavaScript methods to export shape data, I think. However, I've never read the LiveCycle JavaScript API, so I don't know what is there (be SURE not not to use the JavaScript API in Acrobat!)

    Hey Tracy FNP,.

This can be done using the player. You may need to install and use Adobe Acrobat for the same thing.

You may need to set a link to open another PDF file.

    Hello

    You selected "import/export"?

    Try matching return the script to xfa.host.exportData ();

Check the console JavaScript (control + J) when opened in Acrobat and see if errors happen when the button is clicked.

  • How can I embed XML data in a PDF file?

I want to embed XML data in a PDF file if the file can be scanned for data behind the document. Is there a standard way to do this?

For example, if the PDF file is a bank statement, the embedded XML would be his number and bank account balances. He would not understand the standard text in the statement such as the name of the Bank, etc.

I read about the XMP specification, but this seems to be more than the document metadata (title, subject, etc.). And it contained are tagged but it's a different view of the entire document.

    ??? -Thanks - dave

Although the XMP block are stored in XML format, you can just embed any XML file. The block must follow the standard, which means that each data packet must be defined in a schema - as the name suggests, XMP is extensible, you can set the new scheme for local use, but you can't mess with standard seals and add random new tags. The schema itself is not embedded in the file, it is referenced by a unique ID number and URI. of course have a lot of data in a custom schema does not mean that any software will see it - advanced search of Acrobat can be said to sweep the XMP block, but the search engines only tend to bother with tags such as "title" and "description".

To see what is currently in a PDF file, open Document properties > Description > additional metadata > advanced.

You can save the current XMP block in a text (.xmp extension) file and replace/add other files XMP. If you click on the 'i' icon in the upper right corner of the Advanced dialog box, you can access the system profiles - these can be created in other applications such as the bridge, but there is no Manager profile in Acrobat itself.

For more technical information on the use of XMP and creating new schema, see http://www.adobe.com/devnet/xmp.html

Note that the XMP SDK for CS6 does not work in the Acrobat family.

  • Extract information from signature in VBA to a PDF file

    Hi all

I need to extract information from signatures of PDF files in VBA (mainly the name of the signer and the date of signature. PDF files have several signatures inside them).

So I have a few questions:

-Are there an example somewhere to do such a thing?

-I need Acrobat Pro for this? This is an important point because the code is supposed to be run on machines where ONLY Acrobat Reader is installed.

-If the above is not possible, do you know a command line utility that would do the thing (and I could run from my VB code)

    Thank you for your help

    Emphyrio

As already mentioned, you will need Adobe Acrobat Standard or Pro VB/JS bridge. If you want to make this work with just the free reader, you are limited to what you can do in JavaScript environment. Basically, this means that you must open the file in the player and then for example use a menu item to trigger functions to get information about signatures in your file. For example, this information may appear on a dialog box, and you would be able to copy & paste from this dialog (which means no VBA integration at all).

Of course, you can use either Adobe PDF Library (licensed through Datalogics), or other 3rd party PDF frameworks/libraries. It's a site run by Adobe, you will understand that we cannot give you advice regarding 3rd party solutions that compete with the own Adobe solution.

  • Embedded Word of flash missing after saving to PDF files

I have Word 2016 installed as part of my subscription to Microsoft Office 365.  I havethe 'Home' nother "insert"'Draw' and other tabs on the far right there is now a tab "ACROBAT" which seems to be an extension added automatically by Adobe.  And the tab of ACROBAT, there is an option for "Embed Flash File."

We have a Word document that has multiple embedded audio files.  If we use the ACROBAT 'Embed Flash file' extension option, we can embed an audio file and it plays perfectly while in Word.  However, when the word is saved as a PDF file, it seems that the Flash file is not included in the PDF file.

Because the option "Embed the Flash file" is provided as part of an extension of Adobe to the word, it seems that our Flash audio should be retained when you save the document in PDF format.  We do something wrong?  Is it possible to have the audio Flash incorporated be preserved when you save the file in PDF format?  Or is this all just not work properly?

This feature works perfectly fine for me even with several audio files; .mp3 to be exact. Remember that when you save as PDF, you are that making the Acrobat Ribbon and not using the native PDF Word export. File "Save as Adobe PDF" would also work.

    Use the Acrobat Pro preflight!

To incorporate the missing fonts in Acrobat Preflight profile will incorporate the missing fonts in your PDF file assuming that:

    (1) the fonts in question are installed on your system and

    (2) the police themselves is not protected against the incorporation (they can at least see and print incorporation.

  • Extract multiple PDF files in the form of PDF files in a folder

I looked, but have not found a way to do this. I have a table (let's call it TSTATEMENTS) in which a column is a blob that contains a pdf file. In another column is a name for this PDF. I want to run a query on tstatements of filtering on the other columns of tstatements. For example:
    SELECT FILE NAME, PDF_BLOB,

    OF TSTATEMENTS

    WHERE rep_name = 'Joe Smith';

    ----------------------------------

    FILE NAME |   PDF_BLOB |

    ---------------------------------

    G23.PDF | (HUGEBLOB) |

    G77.PDF | (HUGEBLOB) |

    L4G.PDF | (HUGEBLOB) |

    ----------------------------------

Then, I want to say SQL DEVELOPER to write these HUGEBLOBs to 3 files in a windows folder so that I find myself with

3 PDF files named g23.pdf, g77.pdf, L4G.pdf. I can do this in TOAD, but we cannot afford to buy another copy of TOAD just for this one function.

    Thank you!

    Mike

The answer is, no, not currently Developer SQL to retrieve several blobs (PDF files in my case) with a single command. You can extract one at a time.

I write this for future readers so that they can come directly to the answer and without having to sift through a large number of positions. Thanks to everyone who answered me. I appreciate your time and efforts.
