Extracted pages and sizes of the files
I created a DP 470 pages long and more than 85 MB.
Unable to send email, I've extracted and removed to create smaller pdf files, but each is always showing 85 mb!
Any help anyone?
-If you use Acrobat XI, you can reduce the size of the file of the below step:

ESXi 4.1 VSphere and size of the file on the data store
Hello
I'm new to VMWare and have been reading on maximum configuration for virtual machines and
Warehouses of data in this forum.
If I have a computer virtual (Server Win2K8 R2) that in the future may reach 2 TB is true while
I need to create a data store on the SAN network with a block size of 8 MB, so it can accommodate
the increase in the size of the virtual machine?
What is a correlation one between the size of the VM and the VM file size?
Example: If the Win2K8 server reaches 1 TB, the size of the VM file also to 1 TB?
And finally, if the maximum of 2 TB is reached on the Win2K8 server how to add
more space for my VM?
Thank you

What is a correlation one between the size of the VM and the VM file size?
Example: If the Win2K8 server reaches 1 TB, the size of the VM file also to 1 TB?
There are two types of vmdk (the VM disk):
- thickness: file is allocated in advance... so in your case, the file is already a file of 2 TB
- thin: file is dynamic and reach the size max
See also: http://communities.vmware.com/docs/DOC-10854
And finally, if the maximum of 2 TB is reached on the Win2K8 server how to add
more space for my VM?
You can't... 2 TB is the max disk size.
You can add more drives.

I used photoshop to make my theme header with 3000 pixels wide and 200 from the top. In addition, the file is less than 300 KB. But after that I downloaded it, the picture in these dimensions is amplified. I do not get the image I had intended. Why is this? See picture attached example.
The support module is here: https://discourse.mozilla-community.org/c/add-ons
Looks like this monitor is like 1750 pixels wide, give or take.
The width of the whole image will not be displayed unless you have a display of 3000 pixels wide, and it is " pinned with the upper right of the image. Only, as a large part of the width will be shown that there is the width to display the image.

How to filter the file type and size during uploadind files in APEX
Hello
I was wondering how I can do to validate the size of a file, before moving in my table? I want to filter the type of file, but for this one, I think I can use regular expressions in a validation process.
I don't know if there is a way to read the size of the file, even before sending it into the temporary table.
Thank you
BodartHi salma,
As far as I KNOW, you need to create a validation APEX (PL/SQL Returns Boolean or returns error text), which interrogate the details of the table apex_flow_files file. Here you can get the file type and size etc.
So just to validate and if the validation fails, then delete the apex_flow_files and riase error message file.
Kind regards
HariP.S. Please note that, if there are other validations apex on your page, and if they fail, always apex will load the file in the apex_flow_files table. It is sensible to create a validation (PL/SQL) that will trigger (condition) when online validation errors occurred. Make sure it is the LAST commit on your page in the sequence. And here you can write code to delete the table apex_flow_files.

Delete Pages, size of the file, PDF Optimizer Clean Up
Using Acrobat 9 Pro (for Windows, if that makes a difference).
I have a page 148 PDF of a magazine, about 58 MB in size.
I deleted 40 pages of ads, leaving just the useful content.
The size of the file is always about 58 MB.
When I run advanced-> optimization PDF
the file size down to about 47 MB.
The optimizer settings don't seem to matter.
Even with just 'Clean Up' selected, all options unchecked,
and Compression, the value 'Leave unchanged Compression'
the file size is further reduced.
I tried several other publishers of PDF with tools,
and none of them reduce the size of the file after you remove the 40 pages
even using their functions 'optimize' or 'compress '.
Can someone explain why deleting pages does not reduce the size of the file
and that fact optimizer (who do not have other tools)
to reduce the size of the file?
Thank you
-Glenn
Space of audit indicates that more than 99% of the content is images.
Save As works in the same way as Save (no change of size of original file).
However, Document-> reduce file size works even better than optimization PDF.
Reducing the file size to about 15 MB!
What extra stuff does reduce the file size?

Try to reduce the size of the file of my opening a flash site page
I use the Flash CS4 IDE, and the first page of my site takes more time to load I want that there. So I tried to go through the various images / symbols / movie clips / sounds and so on to see where all the memory is be chewed.
When I go into my library, however, I can see the name, the binding, the usecound and the Type of my items, but no mention of the size of the file and I can't seem to find that a right-click menu that allows me to add the size of the file to the list of the details shown.
Is there a way to see the size of the file? Or a workaround?
And are there best practices to reduce the size of the file except using symbols for everything that is used more than once and reduce the image and sound quality?
Thank you
Click file/publish/flash settings and check the box generate size report. publish. you will get a debug report in your publish directory that you can check.

Sometimes when I download a file of the estimator download will not update until that file is downloaded about and made. It didn't happen in the previous versions, I think somewhere around v15? or whenever the new download manager has been implemented.
Another problem is that the size of the file is unknown until mainly downloaded.
(a.k.a. "calculation of the remaining time - x MB 103 MB (132 KB/s)")
didn't matter what Internet connection I use, can not repeat on a local network download.
Sometimes, I don't get on the servers really really really really really fast.Oh, and don't forget corrupt downloads!
file will download as usual, but smaller than the total size who said that the Web site or the list dialog confirmation boxing. Download complete report manager!
Ending up with a zip file or other file that will not open or run.No antivirus software, I run clean, safe and vigilant.
I managed to get photos, take a look.
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/gu2yiffrazxpasc/xVaAEH4KodI use an extension to go back the look, feel and function of the old Download Manager, but it still isn't correct in new download manager.
but as has been said elsewhere, I'm probably going to create a new profile so I hope that this will disappear when I finally get around to that?

Apple never shows the size of the file download updates? I have little download caps and would like to know the size of the file before downloading. Also to take advantage of free download period... 02:00 until 08:00 is there a way to plan downloads?
Yes. Informed of an update, select "install tonight". The downloads will be scheduled to occur at 02:00 local time.
Make sure that your MBA is connected to the power of this night there.

I have trouble finding the disk space used by files and folders individually and when I try to know how much is consumed and free by right click on my computer. This was easy in XP, but I can't get the answers I need to analyze which uses space, where and how. What is happening with this?
Hi NativeLegal Eagle,
Usually, right-click on the file or folder and clicking the properties option will give the details of the file or folder. The details include, type, size, location, size of the file on the disc etc.
Make a right click on my computer will not give the details of available disk space on the computer.
If you want to know the amount of space consumed by a program, then it can be found in the Add/Remove Programs window.
a. Click Start, click Run, type appwiz.cpl, and then click ok.
b. in the list, we can find the total space used by individual program running on the computer.Note: If nothing is listed in the file properties window or a file, then provide us with more information, so that we can better help you.

How to determine the size of the file and the pixel of an image?
How to determine the size of the file and the pixel of an image?
1 MB is 2 ^ 20 bytes. It is easy to represent long:
final long MegaByte = 1048576L; //1048576 is 2^20 and L denotes that this is a long if(fileConn.fileSize() > MegaByte) { do something here }

Printing win 7 guest, the printer queue maintains a loop and increases the size of the file
Hi all
That are running Windows 7 enterprise and on another professional machine, same results:
I share a "laser" on the USB printer, the printer works very well under windows prgms... (all as administrator)
Open CMD window:
"net use LPT2: \\hp1\laser / persistent: Yes" command complete and looks good in "Net view \\hp1".
Now, I open the print queue window and try printing a text file:
"print test.txt > lpt2" command appears to complete. (Same results for copy, etc.)
I now see the file appear in the print queue, flashing, saying: rolling/printing, repeating & loop, and each Flash increases the size of the file!
I tried to change the Port LPT1 and 3
Nothing prints, because I have to stop the spooler, delete the file, start the spooler to clear.
What happens on two different machines, I'm totally stuck!
Help appreciated!

Codec and the size of the file
I just started a new camera editing files. Here is the Sony XAVC. I produced a one minute movie to experiment with different exports and I do not understand something. First, I exported a file MP4 the value 4096 x 2160, who made an 80 MB file. Then I exported the same chronology of one minute 1920 x 1080, also as a MP4 but value makes a 220 MB file.
I thought export 4096 would make the larger file, if someone can explain what is happening here?
Thank you
One thing determines the size of the file, and it is the speed of TRANSMISSION. The export of 1080 p had to have a higher flow rate adjustment
Thank you
