Fade out - I don't hear it

I am a beginner. This sounds like a basic question, but for the life of me I can't understand this. I added a Visual fade a clip in a multitrack session, using the Waveform Editor. I see the fade out. I don't hear it. My apologies if this is obvious, I'm having a lot of trouble with that, especially in troubleshooting. Surprised I can't just chatter, considering that I pay monthly for it.

John, I'm hearing, I'm sorry. It turns out that the fade is there, it was just subtle, so I don't notice it. My apologies, the bland and the other audio settings, take some getting used to and I find than deletion, I'm not happy with is a challenge to understand how - I am a novice. I appreciate your response!

    I use Tweener class fade and fade out a Sprite.

    I want to do an effect as I say in the subject, but I don't know how to wait a second after having melted and melted on.

    Any advice?

    There are a few things you could do:

    (I'm not suggesting this one first as the two interpolations can overwrite each other)

    Tweener.addTween( myMovieClip, { alpha:1, time:0.5 } );
    Tweener.addTween( myMovieClip, { alpha:0, time:0.5, delay:1.5 } );

    Or you could make the initial appearance, and then use a parameter onComplete to initiate another method to falter to the object.

    Tweener.addTween( myMovieClip, { alpha:1, time:0.5, onComplete:on_complete_method } );

    function on_complete_method():void
    {
         Tweener.addTween( myMovieClip, { alpha:0, time:0.5, delay:1 } );
    }

  • How to fade out selected area not to 0 in the Waveform Editor

    I remembered that CS3 hearing had effect "fade out to...". "but now I work in hearing CC 2015.1 and there is no effect"fade out specific value "... I only work in waveform mode, so please could you suggest any solution it?

    You use the effects > Amplitude and Compression > Fade envelope and choose the preset "smooth fade out. This will place a yellow line on the part of your selected waveform. What you can do now is to click on the yellow line to add keyframes and drag them around no matter what level you want to fade to stop (the values are shown on the display). You can record what your own preset if you will use it often.

  • fade out for awhile

    I have 12 items and 8.1 of Windows 64.

    I like to fade out the sound in the middle of a clip for a short time. After that, I will return to the normal level. How can I do these things?

    Koolmees37

    I'll make a detour in the methodology to see if the keyframes to the stretching of the audio will be easier. If this isn't the case, we return to my first choice the mixer Audio Panel for the task.

    In this demo, I have my audio on the Audio track 1 and selected / highlighted.

    1. place the timeline indicator to the place on the timeline 20 seconds before where you want the Fade Out to start. Click on the diamond under Audio 1 (name of track). Which will put a white dot on the orange line running horizontally through the clip. This orange band is called rubberband. You have just placed a keyframe Volume. The level of Volume to this place will be 0 dB (normal Volume of the clip).

    2. move the timeline indicator 20 seconds later on the timeline. Click on the diamond under Audio 1 (name of track). Which will put a white dot on the orange line (elastic). With the cursor of your mouse, click and drag this second white point down at that time that spot down. You just put a Volume key image and don't give it a no sound (-infniity). The slope between's first and second key frames will give you this Fade Out effect. You can refine the Fade Out by moving the white dots around with your mouse cursor.

    3. then move the timeline indicator to the right where you want the Volume to Fade in. click the diamond under Audio 1 (name of track). This will place a white dot on the orange line (elastic). Another Volume keyframe (that third white equips that you see in the screenshot). Because we do not have it upward, the Volume, there is - infinite (no sound). Now the timeline indicator 20 seconds before this place. Click on the diamond under Audio 1 (name of track). This will place another white point on the orange line (elastic). For this white point with the mouse click on drag upward at that time here spot the normal Volume level (try 0 DB or very near it).

    In the end, the audio clip of retouching and its volume of keyframes (white dots) will look like this

    That help and give good results or the time to go back to the Audio Mixer whose description I gave in a previous post?

    Looking forward to your results.

    Thank you.

  • Audio Fade In Fade Out-1 Sec?

    Captivate v5.5

    I created a project of Captivate v5.5, imported audio for each slide after the creation of the audio with Audacity and now starting to sync the audio with the animations.

    I just noticed that all of the slides in my project has the audio setting following;

    Audio Fade.png

    I don't remember doing this audio.

    1. where is setting the option fade in Fade Out to ensure that it is not applied again for future projects?

    2. I cannt see how to remove the second 1 Fade In / Fade Out for the entire project.

    Do I have to change this slide by slide?

    Thank you

    Noel

    Thank you Lilybiri for taking the time to open your 'old' v5.5 - I really appreciate it.

    If I had not taken this screenshot I began to doubt myself.

    Upon receipt of your reply, I went back to the project with the question, and you believe, all the slides have returned back to bland 0sec and 0sec bland!

    I did not bring any changes and have now no idea why this happened in the first place or what happened to bring them back to correct the parameters of 0sec - but will keep an eye on it and I hope it was a Monday morning "glitch."

  • Problems with Fade Out / Reload in State

    I'm having the hardest time trying to figure this one...  I have followed some good advice from these forums for this project in its current state, but cannot get it to work properly.

    I use a "wheel" which is a custom/generic component (such as a popup) composed of all the buttons.  Each click on the button it does two things:

    1. it transitions to a new state that causes the just clicked the button to rotate to the top of the wheel

    2. it fades into a new custom/generic component

    This works really well.

    The problem comes when I try to hide a newly added custom/generic component (via secquence action attached to a button in the new custom/generic component).  For some reason any the area formerly covered by the custom/generic component is more clickable.

    The other problem I foresee is if I can get the underlying custom/generic component buttons to work, I want to be sure that the "popups" (newly added in each new State custom/generic components) to reappear each time that the State is responsible.

    I don't know there are a few really simple fix for what is beyond me.  I have attached two screenshots of the 'wheel' and the 'wheel' covered by the 'popup '.  I also published the project in its current state to one. SWF file if anyone is so inclined to give a try.  If test you it, please note, I only worked on the first 4 buttons moving clockwise around the wheel.

    Would appreciate any feedback!

    Thank you.

    Drew

    Hi Drew,

    I think I understand your problem and have something for you to try.

    When you use a Fade out in a sequence of actions, the catalyst is animating the alpha (opacity) of the object from 100% to 0%. However, objects with 0% alpha still captures mouse clicks. The object must be invisible (which is different from 0% alpha!) to not capture the mouse clicks.

    Unfortunately, there is no way to set an object to be invisible in a sequence of actions. What you can do is to encapsulate the popup itself in a custom component. Instead of using a sequence of actions to animate it, create two States: hidden and visible. Set the popup to be invisible (disable the eyeball in the layers panel) in the hidden state. Then set up your fade transitions. Now, just to make each button click "play transition to State" the popup component, ranging from the visible to the hidden state or vice versa.

  • Can I create a new function (Fade out, low Amplify, Fade In)

    Hello

    I use the version of Adobe Audition 3.0

    Is it possible to define a new function, so that I can choose a small piece of the audio file in edit view, so that the first 5 milliseconds (of the selected part audio) will apply a Fade Out, and the last 5 milliseconds will apply a Fade In and in-between is magnified to - 12dB.

    I do this hundreds of times in a record 1 hour of speech that has lots of short breaks, in order to eliminate the small noise between the words.

    Normally, I select (a) the space/pause between words and amplify this-12 dB.  Then, I select the previous 5 milliseconds and apply a Fade Out.  And 5 milliseconds after the break a Fade In.

    I discovered only today how to create shortcuts, though at least I have a shortcut to amplify, Fade Out and Fade In.

    But it would be great, if I could somehow define a function that I described above, to do all 3 steps within a single function.

    Any help or advice appreciated.

    Use the Evelope effect. Are you doing a curve preset to fade down to 25% then fade up again and make a shortcut to add to the Favorites menu. This will make the entire process as a function on a single key. This is the same function that is used in the default Favorites for the Fade In and Fade Out Menu.

    Hmm... I'm not convinced it will work, because it will get the timing right. I am completely of agreement by using the effect of the envelope is the way to go - but I think that to do exactly what the OP wants, the bland need timed absolutely, which they wouldn't if you just create a single envelope, would they? That's why I thought that your absolute selection method (probably in the selections of three envelopes, or two and amplification) could do.

    Another thing most important to mention however is simply that in fact, neither of these approaches are needed anyway. If you don't have - 12dB amplify preset and change > preferences > data you have 'Smooth all edit boundaries by a transition' checked with the 5mS default in the box, you get the fade and fade out put automatically - no need for everything playing at all - just define it as a favorite and allocate a key who him.

  • Fade in - fade out of the loop of bg

    Hello world!
    I do a button / stop a single game - stops a loop of bg.

    It's the chronology AS:

    setVolumen = function (soundObj, startLevel, maxLevel, Inc.) {}
    soundObj.setVolume (startLevel);
    this.createEmptyMovieClip ("loopSound", this.getNextHighestDepth ());
    startLevel < maxLevel? flight = Inc.: flight = - inc;
    this.loopSound.onEnterFrame = function() {}
    startLevel += flight;
    soundObj.setVolume (startLevel);
    If (soundObj.getVolume () == maxLevel) {}
    delete loopSound.onEnterFrame;
    }
    };
    };
    musica_ambiente = new Sound (this);
    musica_ambiente.attachSound ("ambience");

    musica_ambiente.setVolume (0);
    musica_ambiente. Start (0, 9999);
    setVolumen (musica_ambiente, 0, 50, 0.5);

    and these are the ACEs to control:
    OFF:
    setVolumen (musica_ambiente, musica_ambiente.getVolume (), 0, 0.5);
    on:
    setVolumen (musica_ambiente, musica_ambiente.getVolume (), 10, 0.5);

    I don't know, I made 2 buttons and put'em inside one movieclip (the one in the first picture) and the other in the second and added'em the previous ACE with gotoAndStop (1); and gotoAndStop (2); but it does not work...

    can someone help me make it work?

    Thank you very much in advance!

    Cheers!

    Because that function is located on the _parent, and the musica_ambiente object sits on the _parent
    you will need to use several _parent prefix in the path.

    _parent.setVolumen (_parent.musica_ambiente, _parent.musica_ambiente.getVolume (), 100, 0.5);

    However, you can create a feature on the parent who makes the complete call:
    function fadeOutAmbiente() {setVolumen (musica_ambiente, musica_ambiente.getVolume (), 0, 0.5) ;}}
    and then you just call that since the movieclip: _parent.fadeOutAmbiente ();

    If you have several different sound objects on the same scope you want to fade out of
    different fields of application, you can go further and make a function like this:

    function fadeOut (soundName) {setVolumen (this [soundName], this [soundName] .getVolume (), 0, 0.5) ;}}
    and then you call: _parent.fadeOut ("musica_ambiente");

    In any case, I did a few changes to your original code to avoid multiple references _parent:

    setVolumen = function (soundName, maxLevel, Inc.) {}
    var soundObj = this [soundName]
    startLevel = soundObj.getVolume ();
    If (startLevel == maxLevel) return; Give up if no change is necessary
    Inc = Math.ABS (inc) * (startLevel
    If (this.loopSound) this.loopSound.removeMovieClip (); Kill the old tween volume

    var mc = this.createEmptyMovieClip ("loopSound", this.getNextHighestDepth ()); Create movieclip temp
    mc.onEnterFrame = function() {}
    soundObj.setVolume(startLevel += inc);
    If (soundObj.getVolume () == maxLevel) {}
    delete loopSound.onEnterFrame;
    this.removeMovieClip (); Kill the temp movieclip
    }
    };
    };
    musica_ambiente = new Sound (this);
    musica_ambiente.attachSound ("ambience");
    musica_ambiente.setVolume (0);
    musica_ambiente. Start (0, 9999);
    setVolumen ("musica_ambiente", 100, 0.5);

    ///////////////

    Fade Out

    on (release) {}
    _parent.setVolumen ("musica_ambiente", 0, 0.5);
    }

    Fade In
    on (release) {}
    _parent.setVolumen ("musica_ambiente", 100, 0.5);
    }

    NOTE!

    He must now also melted even though you click another fade is underway
    because he has killed the old one before creating the new.

  • Flash 101 - Fade in / Fade out text

    I know it's easy. I know that I did in my training courses. I searched online for a couple of hours, but couldn't find exactly what I'm looking for. All I want to do is to learn to fade in a sentence and then fade out. Simple, I know, but I just keep getting that darn cursed line dotted! I don't mind not to explain things, I've tried. Is someone can just tell me what I'm supposed to do. OK... so on frame of 70, I want the part of the sentence "a new opportunity" to be at 0% opacity, then up to 100% to frame 100... What should I do? (I hope that I can then understand what I should do to the have again melted.) Thanks for your help.

    Select the symbol in the image that you want, and then adjust the alpha where it says 'color' in the properties panel. Not your color mixer.

  • fade out dynamic text only fading. Need help with actionscript

    Hi all

    I hope someone can help me. I have a dynamic text I want to fade and then fade out and then disappear in another bit of copy. My text fades but is not melted, paragraph disappears and then evokes the next paragraph suddenly. All the basic ideas on the code that I have attached here? Let me know if you need more.

    Thanks a lot for your help. I finally found it and done in a much simpler way with much less code. I used symbols that I mentioned in previous posts, following this same actionscript help basis but put my video clips on frame 1, used a stop action and ended up with PlayMC()

  • Fade out effect when you change screens

    Hello world

    I have a screen (the sheet object) with some objects (labels, imageButton, etc.) and I need to change its background of fadeing effect, and if it is possible do not change objects.

    One of the ways I see to create a new page with the same elements, but I couldn't find how to change an effect that will use the system of switching screens.

    All advice?

    You can use a docklayout for this. Place a container at the bottom with the desired backgroundcolor. Put from another container on top of that with the controls of your choice. After that, you can disappear or fade in the container with backgroundcolor as you want by changing the opacity. In your case, you must use an explicit animation (https://developer.blackberry.com/cascades/documentation/ui/animations/explicit_animations.html). Fade out background, when the signal that the background is dimmed, change the background color and fade in.
