favicon appears

I have a demo of pages for a plugin on github. Curiously, I can't favorite icon if displayed in Firefox (try the simple demo page). They appear in the webkit and IE browsers without any problems. The affected pages are 'Hand', 'Simple', 'Developing', 'Video' and 'FX '.

Even more strange is that demo only one page ("CSS3") displays the favicon on the tab and when you save as a bookmark, but no other pages.

It works if I disable JavaScript.

Seems that it is caused by the JavaScript that runs on the page and which changes the URL (hash).

    I added the everywhere possible favicon in Muse (Site level and page), and it appears in the browser when I do a local publication, but not on the WEB in any browser (erased Caches).  It seems to work from BC address for some reason any: Home | The Sannine group but still not my normal URL.  Ideas as to why?  I deleted my cache several times and reloaded it.

    Site:

    The Sannine group

    I use a 48 x 48 PNG 8 (no transparency) titled "favicon_1.png".

    Also, if I try to delete the favicons for pages just appear rear right in the dialog box for the properties of the page the next time I'm in them.

    I took a peek in the index file that muse spit, and I think it is the HTML code for the favicon:

    < link rel = "shortcut icon" href="images/home-favicon.ico?333964866"/ >

    I checked the files on SFTP server and the file is there (I do not understand why there are those additional after the characters. ICO, but I'm sure there's a reason) there are also a few other Favicons in the pictures folder and in another active folder with different names that correspond to the pages they were assigned to.

    For reference, this is the way W3C recommend to write the code for the Favicons, it's a bit different:

    " < link rel ="icon"type =" image/png"href =" http://example.com/myIcon.PNG ">

    When using Muse, you can have up to 99 active temporary sites on Business Catalyst. Temporary sites expire after 30 days of inactivity. Once you decide to take an individual temporary site live and associate him a domain name, then buy you a 5 plans that are included in your creative cloud hosting subscription.

    Looking for 'remove the wrapper' is the wrong way of thinking. Instead, you need to adapt your site name (the domain) so instead of pointing to the wrapper page it points to the real site. This is done by changing the information in the registrar of the domain (in your GoDaddy case) to point to the servers of domain names at the Business Catalyst.

    This section help Adobe Muse | Publish Web sites> page web Lance has provided a link to described the redelegation of your domain on your Registrar's website. Unfortunately, exactly how this is done is different on each registration office, but in all cases, the domain name must be set to point to the servers of domain names at the Business Catalyst (i.e. NS1.) WORDSECURESYSTEMS.COM, etc.). Once this is done, it can take up to 24 hours for the change to propagate through the servers of domain names on the internet before the domain name load you your site from the correct location (and not the old location).

  • Why firefox cannot save the favicons of websites to bookmarks?

    In Firefox 35.0.1 under Windows 7 x 64, I have several questions about the icons. None of the bookmarks on the toolbar in the toolbar bookmarks or in the booksmarks has none of the icons/Favicons appear for the Web site even if I visited some of these sites. All I see is squares exposed dashed.

    New tab page is not also show screenshots of the sites even after I vist them. I have only 2 sites of 15 sites on the new tab page. The rest of the squares are empty with squares.

    This is happening even after the creation of a new profile, clearling cache.

    Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

    If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

    • Click the menu button

      click Help

      then select restart with disabled modules.

    If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:

    • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
    • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
      (you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

    When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

    If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

    To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

    When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. This might help others with the same problem.

  • How can I completely remove bookmark toolbar favicons?

    I added the following code to my file userChrome.css, but favicons appear again when I download files (documents, photos, etc.). How can I get rid of the favicons completely, so that they reappear after a download?
    Thank you!

     */
    /* Bookmarks Toolbar - hide favicons/placeholders for sites, but show folder icons for menus */
    #personal-bookmarks toolbarbutton:not([type="menu"]) .toolbarbutton-icon {display:none !important;}
    #personal-bookmarks menuitem .menu-iconic-icon {display:none !important;}

    #bookmarksMenu menuitem .menu-iconic-icon {display:none !important;}

    #PlacesToolbarItems .toolbarbutton-icon {display:none!important;}

    The CSS from the other thread should work. But first, remove the - example of a file name. In order to operate, it must be named exactly userChrome.css without the - example.

  • Why not see the favicon at the top on each page?

    So here's the problem:

    I created an icon favicon as file png, 32 x 32 345 bytes in size.  Every page of my site, including the master pages, pages parent, child pages have this selected favicon when I go to 'Page Properties' for EACH individual page.  The SITE for the WHOLE site properties ALSO has the correct selected favicon.  However, when you visit my site, two pages (English and Spanish) parents who have a child below page (portfolio) do not show my favicon.  Shows just an empty favicon, regardless of the browser.  However, the favicon appears on every other page.  Order 10 pages that contains my site, favicons show up on 8 of the 10.  The first of the two parent pages, although they look identical to the other 6 according to my Sitemap I've included, like a photo, they are not at the level of the content.  These two pages are long scrolling pages and 6 other pages are much shorter, until I have fully translate my English content.  Can not figure this out for the life of me.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Seems to me that your master page is the favicon of work and the only two pages without master are those which do not.

    I'd do it:

    1 create a Master B of Master A (import this favicon) and master the master b make two pages that don't have job favicons... Download and test the site;

    2. If they now have some favicons, the mistake and you can adjust control b to fit your design, but if not then its simple to cancel it by removing the master b of these two pages.

  • Another silly question on the favicons

    Favicons have been addressed several times on the DW forum, but I looked in the old posts and I can't fiind anyone had my particular problem...

    I made a favicon using this site: http://www.geckodesigns.com/Tutorial-Dreamweaver-favicon.php

    I pasted in the relevant bit of code in the head of my page, as follows:

    < ! DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional / / IN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd" > ""

    " < html xmlns =" http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml ">

    < head >

    < link rel = "shortcut icon" href = "images_graphics/favicon.ico" type = "image/x-icon" / > "

    My favicon is in a folder called "images_graphics" which is located in my local root folder. I think that the above code will go...?

    Problem is, I don't see the favorite icon when I saw my page in Safari. (I can't preview in all other browsers because Safari is the only one I have). It doesn't seem to be there.

    Is this a problem with Safari? What I have to upload my page on the remote server and to look on the web before my favicon appears - it will not appear if I saw in the browser?

    It is somewhat a mystery because I had favicons sucessfully before - but only on a Windows PC using Firefox. Now I'm on a Mac, and I wonder if there is something different, I think I should do?

    Update: it's working now!

    I don't know why it works now, but hasn't before - but my favicon appears now when I saw in Safari.

    One thing I tried was to save my file favicion.ico directly in my local root folder - not in a subfolder. I don't know if this is what makes the difference...

    Anyway, panic over!

  • Why the Favicon shows up only on the Page of Index?

    Hello. I hope you have a good day!

    First of all, I am aware that this question has been asked and answered before many times. However, when I search the Forum with the key word "favicon", nothing appears. I'm assuming that Adobe has erased some of the former subjects of the forum for the purpose of storage or something to that effect.

    I made a website for my friend's father: www.socialclubofjupiter.org

    For some reason, the favicon appears only on the index page. I think it's because I put the coding for the favicon (< link rel = "shortcut icon" href = "favicon.ico" > ") on a model and applying the model to each page. I know this because when I use for each page individually without the use of code templates, everything worked perfectly. I even tried to put the favicon in the models one folder placed this coding rather (< link rel = "shortcut icon" href = "Templates/favicon.ico' >"), however, it still does not work outside the index on Google Chrome page.

    What I am doing wrong?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hello

    your browser (most of our browsers) should be convinced first to show! To display the icon, may be you have to do that too:

    Clear your caches!
    Check with another browser, the new icon will be there.

    Or / and:

    -If set, remove the bookmark to the page, or recreate the bookmark.
    -Browser to quit
    -Empty the Options of the Internet of temporary Internet files
    -Clear history
    -Delete everything in general, where the browser remembers visited websites.
    -Restart
    -Clear site visit
    -Disable again bookmark

  • Some of my bookmark favicons have disappeared and have been replaced by those that show a blank page. I have read many articles on the problem, but nothing has helped.

    I read many articles about this problem and have found no solution yet. Some of my favicons, which was already good, have disappered. They have been replaced by images of 'white page' where the favocons should be on my favorite Firefox toolbar. Here is a short list of them: the BBC, The Washington Post, HebCal date converter, CapitalOne, FedLoan, US Bank, The Veterans Administartion and Google. I don't recognize a pattern in the types of Web sites and ALL these favicons appear in Internet Explorer and Google Chrome... very strange. This happened more than six months ago. I have read several articles online and tried as much as I can contact here. I picked up some nasty viruses along the way help that hurts and caused enough grief that I really don't need the hunting. So I ask you all to Firefox to help, please. Thank you.

    You can check these prefs on the topic: config page to make sure that they are always default.

    • Browser.chrome.favicons
    • Browser.chrome.site_icons

    You can open the topic: config page via the address bar. You can accept the warning and click on "I'll be careful" to continue.

  • When I open an app for g-mail tab how to display the icon of g-mail instead of a folder icon?

    I wish I could say all my tabs app apart in the blink of an eye.

    Thank you

    Ross.

    Open the Gmail tab and then click on the gear in the top icon on the right. You will see a dropdown menu with "Settings of Gmail" and "Gmail Help Center" as an option. Select 'Settings of Gmail' and the web interface will be charge for a few seconds. You will see then some options, with tabs to select other options.

    Select the "Labs" tab and then scroll through it. Find one called "unread Message Icon" and then turn it on. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "save changes". You may need to hold control and press F5 to perform a 'hard' of the page refresh, so that the new favicon appear.

    The two images that I attached will explain if all goes well. Note that the image of the tab in my browser has been cut down a bit so that my email address is not visible. I hope this meets the task you wanted to, because I've never seen a record for my app - never the favicon tabs.

  • Favicon not appearing is not on the Android phone

    Hello

    In my sensitive BC site, I have 2 images which are used for the favicon (AFAIK) in the model I bought: is called "Favicon" and one called "badge of origin. I replaced the latter with the images on the right and on the desktop version that works. However my client just mentioned to me on his Android phone, since Google has changed the appearance like 2 days ago that the icon is no longer there, and it shows a 'L '. But the strange thing is, is either the favicon of model.

    Any tips/advice on what is the problem and how can I fix, so the mobile version is also show the Favicon of law, are much appreciated. See printscreen below for a mobile screen capture, the site is called "LIEFKE" (www.liefkemagazine.nl).

    Screenshot_2015-10-30-14-08-36.png

    You can check the version of office to see the favicon to be displayed (it's a heart shaped dreamcatcher).

    PS I'm not good in coding so please use simple language

    There is no significant variation in the declaration of the icon in all devices. You can read summaries like this on Stack Overflow and then apply that knowledge to your site, or you can use an icon generation service (I recommend realfavicongenerator.net).

    Once the service has done the hard work, download you files it gives you in the root of the site and copy - paste the it supplies tags in the section of the home page.

  • Why my favicon will not appear when the code and the favicon.ico file are correct? I use Dreamweaver CC.

    I tried several manufacturers of .ico file and uses the code < link rel = "shortcut icon" href = "' / favicon.ico" / > in the < head > section and the favicon.ico is sitting above the index file, but it does not appear on the tab in Firefox or IE. " I also tried many drawings, I thought that this could be the problem - here are a few FLiAP-rev2.jpg and FLiAP-Rev3.jpg . What I am doing wrong? I have tried everything and google everything. I also use the PC, but I hope that this does not prevent Mac users for helping me.

    Thanks Jon. As I said to Nancy, the Favicon has finally shown this morning. But also thank you for another time saving Council which has saved me a lot of time and effort and is not mentioned anywhere. You're right,'there is really no reason to add the code in theIf the favicon.ico is located in the root of your site. Just he place here will work in all browsers.«I put only the code on my page index because I wasn't sure he would ever show upward, and, when he did finally this morning, he did on all pages and they had no code.»

    It is regrettable that on all Web sites (and I read what was like all the) dealing with the Favicons, nobody mentions these points. It's simple

    1. create the 16px by 16px favicon.ico
    2. Place it in the root of the site
    3. Clear your cache and bookmark the page
    4. Waiting - it prove, possibly the next day.
