• Extract data from form DPS 2015?

  I have a registration form with some fields such as name, email etc. identification and a "submit" button.

  Here are a few questions about this:

  1. can I create a form with fields (name, e-mail id) in 2015 DPS.

  2. If so, how can retrieve us the data from the form after submission. Is there an API to extract data from form of DPS 2015?

  3. where we store the data? Can it be stored in the AEM or DPS?

  Hi Kalyan,

  It's nothing built in DPS to do this, however you can use the HTML articles for this feature. You will need to write JavaScript code to handle the #2 and #3 elements. It is up to you to decide where you want to store the information collected. Usually you get shipped back through a Web service to a site or a database, you manage.

  As mentioned, articles that have already been viewed are cached locally on the device for offline use. Note that the application, if any, will remove the oldest available items to free up space.

  If your reader wants to ensure that a collection is available offline, we have a new feature on iOS which was released Friday, which allows an explicit download of a collection and prevents purged automatically. • DPS 2015 Build releases - must update us the signature tool?

  Every 3 weeks, a new build is released to 2015 DPS with new features and bug fixes.  When these new versions are released, should update us our signature tool and any other active provided Adobe DPS 2015 we can use?

  No need to update the signature only tool, it rarely changes. If/when he does it's usually just to provide better error messages for the signature of the errors we see in nature, no not to change the kernel that underlie the signature mechanism.

  If an update of the signature tool is necessary it would be listed in our notes.

• Characteristics of DPS 2015

  Hello

  A few months ago, I saw the proposed DPS 2015 roadmap that had been circulating around.  On this roadmap, there is a feature called "research."

  Are you able to let us know what your term of 'research' might be?  Research within certain articles? or would that be a much more extensive search through all experience whole app... im assuming that this is why you have chosen to add all meta-data fields etc.

  Another question we ask ourselves is whether or not will allow you the articles/content to be indexed by search engines?

  Search has a few buckets.

  1. Application research to discover content. It is an interface that returns the content based on a query. Items, collections and possibly other elements of content would be returned. Your assumptions on the tagging of content with metadata is correct, it will certainly use to research.
  2. Search for a word in an article, navigate the user to instances of that word in the article. It is the first case of use that you have addressed.
  3. Search Engine Optimization, allowing the content to be indexed more widely.
  4. Research of platform (e.g. iOS 9 Spotlight search).

  We are initially focusing on application research.

• DPS DPS 2015 notetaking

  Hey everybody don't know if anyone has done this yet, but we try to add features to our 2015 note taking application.

  However, when we publish articles, we see the option in the lower right corner, but when we type, it came not with the notes system.

  We are doing something wrong or that this method will not work for 2015?

  That note taking system is designed for the Digital Publishing Suite product. He was not tested or implemented to date to work with DPS 2015.

• DPS 2015: Articles really slow loading

  We migrated some collections to DPS, 2015. One of the things that we see is how to slow the new Viewer opens each item.

  In the Active Viewer, you can browse trough the entire edition (30 to 50 articles) quickly shortly after that initial download has started.

  In the new Viewer, each article takes time download, giving the reader the sense that it is in a really slow app. And the limitation of download only the next four articles is not really help.

  A regular edition of 30 to 50 items is usually between 20 and 40 MB, so the download time itself should not be the problem.

  Hi Espen, thanks for the comments. Take note that new viewers DPS 2015 user in the view of the article just after listening to view, even if it has not been downloaded from the service, compared to the existing product DPS, which blocks access until a subset of items have been fully downloaded to the device.

• Why browse cards, banners and pages don't are not scaling in android - Adobe DPS 2015?

  We are experiencing some problems with an Android app, built from Adobe DPS 2015 project.  The application displays beautifully on the iPad, but not so much on android. Note that the droid app is tested via a custom app .apk file

  1. the banner at the top of the page, we have created is not updated with scaling on android. See photos of comparison for iPad vs. Android. What can be done to remedy this?

  

  2. the articles are scaling very well in android, but the navigation pages and maps are not welcoming to the android the bottom navigation bar. They pared down type and you cannot scroll through a more far to see.  Apart from the re-design of cards to move any upward, is it possible to fix?  See photos of comparison for iPad vs. Android. .

  

  What I've noticed, it's only on iOS, cards for 'full picture' default, even if you have not explicitly chosen "full image", but on Android, they don't use 'full picture' until actually go you and select the map editor.

  

  Until I click on the enlarged Image, everything on Android looks like your screenshot.  Try to check "Full Image" is actually selected.  I'll bet that $0.01 it is not set to one.

• How can I get the animations of Indesign to work on applications of Dps 2015?

  I installed a few items of Indesign in my application that was built with the Dps 2015 portal but unfortunately the animations will not work. Y at - it something special to do this work or should I work with Muse for animations? Buttons seems to work quite ok.

  Native InDesign animations are not supported in DPS. You can use in5 to convert them to web overlays.

  I produce a page of muse who respond so that it can be used in 2015 of DPS.

  When I have a muse in DPS HTML article, it load on iPad and phone great. But when I press article the menu from the top do not see the distance.

  Is this a known issue?

  I have to add that other articles in Muse 2015 html I have place in 215 DPS not responding do not have this problem.

  When this happens, it is because your page is trapping key events so that the viewer can not bring and react. You need to change your HTML code if the javascript is not capture all key events. If you use the touch events on your page, you must integrate the touch API DPS.

  I'm not sure that I understand perfectly all your requirements, but if you want to replicate the 'look' of your application in 2014, you might do the following

  1. The collection of high level, create a unique collection and style cards and layout to match or resemble 2014 of the "Library" view available  I'll call this the collection "the House."
     • Make sure the collection HOUSE has a "Collection open by default" setting is set to ' Browse View '
     • Don't add all the additional collections to the high default level except the collection of HOME collection
     • Make sure that the layout, the use of cards and the size of the grid, best represent the 'Library' of DPS 2014 view
  2. Create a collection to represent each FOLIO from 2014.
     • If you use the migration tool, it will be created automatically.
     • Add different items of this collection "folio", in the same order as they appear in "folio" DPS 2014
     • The Collection must be configured with an image of collection that represents the cover art to represent the problem of DPS 2014
     • IMPORTANT: Make sure that these collections have the setting "Open default Collection" is set to "content display"
     • I'll call these collections the Collections 'Folio '.
  3. Each FOLIO collection, add to the collection from HOME

  When you set "View content" as the Collection opened by default, it does not show a page to browse (cards & grid).  Instead, when you open the collection, it opens automatically in section 1, page 1 of the collection.  Swipe right (or using the navto controls) will move to the following article in the sequence.

  You should have a similar hierarchy to below

  • default top level collection
    • HOME collection (by using the view through which displays a list of the "folio" w/maps collections + grid)
      • Folio 1 Collection (using the content view)
        • Article 1
        • Article 2
        • Article 3
        • etc.
      • Folio Collection 2 (using the content view)
  • • Article 1
    • Article 2
    • Article 3
    • etc.
  • Folio Collection 3 (using the content view)
    • Article 1
    • Article 2
    • Article 3
    • etc.
  • Folio Collection... etc (using content view)
    • Article 1
    • etc.

  When you launch the application, the collection of the HOUSE appears first, and then clicking on the "issues" folios open those as it did in 2014.

  Once again, I'm not entirely understand your needs, but hope this helps.
