Fiducial features added to multiple layers

Hi all

I try to make a 3D topographic map and have been roadblocked by the Illustrator! (check out this link to see what I mean map Topo cut laser wooden A Portland, ME |) The Shamblog)

The difference between my card and related is that I have hundreds of layers and one is 10.

I have all the layers tangled in illustrator, but when I export the DXF all get mixed together in the CAD file. Because it would take me weeks to separate all the layers in CAD I decided to take the option two, which exports a layer at a time.

The problem with this is when importing in Solidworks the layers automatically will not align and the eye is almost impossible which leaves me with option three. Export a layer at a time with four identical characteristics (i.e. small circles in the corners) which will be used for alignment and scaling once imported into the CAD program.

The question I have is how can I add these benchmark characteristics for all my layers?

Alternative ideas would be appreciated as well!

Best,

Pat

The question I have is how can I add these benchmark characteristics for all my layers?

Assuming that:

  • Each Cup is a single object (not several individual trajectories resembling a single object)
  • Each Cup path resides on its own layer
  • All the layers containing the cut paths are adjacent in the stacking order

This could be fully automated with a few lines of JavaScript. But before that, you can record an Action (macro) to replicate a registration mark in the same position on each layer:

  1. Place on the lower layer.
  2. Draw a registration mark. (For example, a small square in the upper left corner, beyond the limits of all the cut paths)
  3. Edition > copy
  4. Actions palette: new Action. Start recording.
  5. Select > next object above
  6. Edition > paste in front
  7. Actions palette: stop recording
  8. Scripts palette: activate the Mode button
  9. Range of action: click on the recorded your Action button, once for each remaining layer. Whenever you click the contents of the Clipboard (the registration mark you copied at the beginning) is glued in front (so on the same layer as) each of the paths of cutting.

In the receive routine (assuming you need to re - assemble the cutting paths in the record), align all objects imported at the top left.

  • The feature "Made simultaneous multiple images" or a similar added after effects CC?

Adobe removed the feature "Made simultaneous multiple images" after effects 2015. Is this feature or a similar feature in after effects CC? I'm curious because I'm considering buying a new processor, and I need to know how the multi-core performance is the latest version of After Effects. I'd appreciate any guidance on this topic, if anyone has a Pearl of wisdom here.

    Hi kearley2018,

The links below are for comfortable reading about multicore performance.

As far as I know, their methodology is quite valid.

  • First Pro CC feature request: add multiple markers at defined times

I'm about to post a feature request and wanted to check to see if someone else was interested, as I read that forum support can help get requests for features added - and also just in case this feature already exists, and I missed it in my Google search...!

    Here's the request:

Short title for your desired feature:

Option to add multiple markers at a time edit

How would you like the feature works?

It would be great to have an option in the menu dropdown markers or to be able to right-click on the marker icon in the timeline and choose 'add multiple markers to xxx minutes/seconds/images ".

Why is this feature important for you?

I often end up creating a large number of edits, and it would be great to be able to use this feature to remove a marker (for example) every three seconds in my calendar so that I can then add a bunch of clips using automate to sequence. For the moment, I do this by clicking on the hot text of the Position of the read head by typing at 00:03, 00:06, 00:09, etc., and dropping a marker at each point and this feature might speed things up a bit. I have also been invited by students, if this feature is also available.

If anyone would be interested by this request, please let me know...!

    Thank you

Well, Yes.  For a still, does not change the image.  With the video, it is impossible for the PP to know which part of the clip is to use without In/Out points.  This is true with or without the proposed service.

  • straighten multiple layers at once with the ruler tool

Is it possible to use the ruler tool and straighten multiple layers that require the same correction in both?

One or both them and make all at once.

  • drag multiple layers from one document to another

When I drag multiple layers from one document to another, now the keys ctrl-shift-alt (that is placed exactly in the same place) Photoshop changes the selected layers. He eithers add a leyer or just pass.

He wants me to drag a segment of the leyer where there is 'information' or pixels.

I drag in the document itself, not the layerpanel.

In previous versions, it wasn't like that.

Sometimes there is a very little information or pixels in a layer. This is way hard to aim straight for photoshop to do what I want it to do.

I don't know if it's done on purpose or it is a very annoying bug.

Well, it is quit interesting: while we are working on this problem, I advised a new update for photoshop: some problems occurred with the last update.

    I was working with 20151114.r.301

And now I have the 20151209.r.327 version (which comes in fact in a few minutes ago)

I tried the same thing as above and now my problem with the sliding of the layers went!

So it was a bug. Nothing to do with the settings or anything.

  • Can someone tell me how to show/hide multiple layers at the same time?

    Hello

Can someone show me how to make more than one layer visible or invisible, without having to click on each separate layer? -J' have more than 100 layers in a drawing, and it is very tedious to have to click on each individual layer to hide it or show it. I just started using Photoshop elements 13, on an iMac

    Thanks for any advice.

You can Option , click on the eye next to the thumbnail icon of the layer to hide all selected layers, but.

Option , click New to display all layers.

Order click to change the visibility of the selected layer switch

To hide multiple layers, select the layers, right-click on one of the eyes, and click hide this layer

Repeat to repeat the visible layers.

You can also click on one of the eyes and then drag down or to hide layers and invert to make the visible layers.

  • Hide multiple layers in 3D?

I have a comp which is essentially a map projection with several slices of an old photo of a House stuck on images of the House that I filmed.  I used tracker camera 3D NULL values to place them in space.  Does make sense so far?   But now, I have a problem where I would hide all the layers at the same time pen out and do consider smooth on the edges.  For some reason, the mask sticks just the images I shot initially and layers in 3D.  Tracker mask is good except that you cannot change the path at all once it is followed because it uses data points to mask path as Tracker mask points.

I tried precomping, but he has not made a difference.  Which means, I precomped all layers and then tried to mask/feather as a single unit.  Did not work.

My goal is to have a mask to stick at home and have the kind of mask of morph in the clip.  The rest of the project to the other shots was easy.  Only, I had a photograph for each shot.  I have followed 3D clip, is a null value, which is attached to a point of Tracker, copied the position that NULL to the photo and then adjusted the picture up to what he did.  It works like a charm.  But, when I take a model of pre of several layers that something goes wrong.

Is there anything I can try?   Check out the photos.  The photo of the top is one I'm trying to figure. It's a glidecam turned the cap towards the House.  The 3D tracker works very well on images for all the clips.  The bottom two are pans simple tripod.  When the camera moves essentially, the mask turns and changes shape in a sort of bio of passage.  I want to achieve for the top of the master page.

    Thank you!!

Here's what you have to do. First of all, make sure that you do not have the Ray-traced rendering engine turned on. Second, your multiple layers composing them. Third transformation of the collapse. Fourth, add a new layer 3D by using a solid red or blue with the screen blend mode and position this layer so that it will cover the whole value demo. Gold and this is the reason for the screen blend mode, use the tool pen to draw your mask on the layer, and then set the layer as a track matte for the demo. animate the matte and you're done.

  • How to brush across multiple layers

    Good afternoon

I have several layers that are all the same size I want to use a brush everywhere at the same time - and yet whenever I select several layers the brush and pen tool me don't give a sign of «» Anyone know an easy solution? I just want to sign my name through several images at once - I'm guessing a bit like a watermark. With the help of CS6 creative cloud on Windows.

Hello! Solution of Howard, I would add that it is not possible, as you have noticed, to apply a brush stroke to multiple layers.

You can use the keys ALT + [shortcut key to go to the next layer to the bottom of the stack.

If you have too many documents, the creation of an action can be a way forward.

(I guess you stacked layers in the same document, to be able to export to a gallery?)

  • Change the multiple layers at the same time

    Hi all
Is it possible to change the position of the multiple layers at the same time? that is to say: I've got a slideshow made with several layers (probably about 60) while back and now I need to re use it in a different size (smaller). When I just resize the document, my slide is no longer in the center of it and is bigger. I would like to: 1. change its position within the document. 2 reduce entire layer together. If 2 is not possible, fine, but to me, there may be a way to change its position. Thank you much for the help!

If you look at the area where Flash displays your frames per second is a small button (it looks like 2 boxes blu - ish overlapping). It is the button "edit multiple layers. Once you press this, you will see a marker on your time line asking you to select the images to change. Stretch this segment to cover all the images you want to include in your editing - lock all layers you want to include in your installation. Then, you can press Ctrl + a to 'select all' - this will only select executives in "onion" and unlocked frames - from there, any changes will not affect what is selected. You have to play with how it works because it can be a little difficult to understand (when it comes to points of alignment and balance, etc.). I would like to make a copy of your flash document to test this point until understand you before you start your original edition.

  • How to select multiple layers in photoshop via a script

Is there a way to select multiple Photoshop layers via a script without using the listener script? I am

looking everywhere in the API, but I'm not able to find anything. Maybe im just not true, please help!

Select more than one layer requires the action handler code. the DOM can not do and is slower anyway. If you use scriptlistener works, here's what you should go with.

  • How to export multiple layers to separate PDF files?

I just upgraded from Mavericks to Yosemite and all my CC Adobe until 2015. So far I love it, but I have a nagging problem: export layers to separate PDF files.

My file has 38 layers, each of them must be separated in PDF format, so I use the script that is embedded in SaveDocsAsPDFs. The first time I run it, it ends up split on most files, but not all, so I thought I'd run it once again: no chance. Whenever I run the present, he eventually put all the active layers in a pdf from single page instead of save them as individual PDF files. I've spent the better part of two hours online hunting and are all I can find third-party scripts that actually do what I need, rather than use the builtin scripts.

Is there a way someone can help me with this problem? I'll have much, much more files like that and I would use the original if possible script. It is everything on a Mac. Specs below.

    Mac Pro

    Quad-Core Intel Xeon

    3.2 GHz

    32 GB

The SaveDocsAsPDFs allows to save multiple documents open simultaneously in artificial intelligence to separate files. He doesn't have layers in separate documents. You can use one of the scripts that you got to do what you want.

It can be more condensed and is more efficient as there are less than the processing steps.

    Here are the improved code

Have a look at it and compare it to the other I posted and maybe yours as well.

It should help you to understand a little more about the scripts/programming.

  • Animated - gif align multiple layers

    Hi all

I create a gif animated turning in PS. Now I have about 37 layers, where I increment the angle of each layer with 10 degrees from the previous. But even during the alignment of all my layers with alignment tools the layers still not aligned... How can I perfect alignment? See what I mean on the picture here:

NOTE: If the gif here does not animate, see this link:

You can see that he is biased

@JJMack. I don't know how to rotate the layer without frame old copy of the new position of rotation... This is why I used copies of layers

Copy you the layer and rotate. The layer must be perfectly aligned with the center of a square of 1:1 aspect ratio of canvas. Guidelines have been added 50% horizontal and vertical, three have been added a 50% to 49% and 51%. Then using the elliptical tool made fashionable trace a circle path designed by holding down the Alt key would be so the path to the Center and now the SHIFT key for the ellipse would be limited to a circle. You click the line 50% 50% crossed guide the mouse pointer snaps on and you slide the first circle of Otter.  You then assign the path mode to subtract and drag the inner circle.  Your path is now a ring. Then, you pass the rectangle tool, and subtract a rectangle path using lines 49% and 51%. Your path is now two arcs. Create two layers of filled shape colors in the removal of the ring 1/2 of the layer if you have two colorful arcs. Rastersize both and merge the two layers int one.  You have now you arches lined up from the Center.  Then its simple dupe layer action turn the layer 10 degrees the previous layer select turn off visibility select layer to the front.  Play this action until you layers 36 ring required. Create a frame in the animation have Photoshop make frames from layers using option drop-down animation of the image palette.  Remove the first IK frameworks and turn on the visibility of IK layer in which to present the first image. Lights in all frames. Save you it to the web the animated gif. PSD file http://mouseprints.net/old/dpr/ik.psd also tried to use a smart object layer ring less lose quality by turning the layer but there seems to be movement in the rotation.  Photoshop can be a problem dealing wit the transparency in the layer and the break in the circle. http://mouseprints.NET/old/DPR/ikso.PSD so I put all the layers of the ring in a group and masked group with a vector mask. http://mouseprints.NET/old/DPR/iksomask.PSD the best tool you have when you use Photoshop is the grey matter between your ears let it do its thing, it can even surprise you sometimes.

  • Copy and paste multiple layers (with objects) of one movieclip to another

    Hey guys,.

I'm really frustrated with myself because I believe that this should be easy.

But I was stuck for centuries, hopefully you guys could help out me.

I try to copy the images of 6 different layers and objects (action script, own movements tween, buttons, graphic elements) of one movieclip to another. But as soon as I did this, everyhting seems to have shifted and if I try to reposition elements in the new clip, it seems that I must repeat after each keyframe for each layer.

    So my question is

Is a. possible to duplicate a clip, but give it an instance name (a completely new movieclip with the same frames and layers in the same position as the previous)?

    B. How can I move multiple objects through the layers and keyframes?

    I hope that makes sense.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    M.

    A. you can create a movieclip instances just by dragging the movieclip on the stage and with actionscript library (if the movieclip is exported for actionscript).  all instances of movieclips created in this way will be identical.

You can also right-click on a clip from the library and click on duplicate movieclip and then change the duplicated movieclip.  instances created of the split movieclip and original movieclip can be different.

    B. I do not understand your question.  I understand (I think) your problem.  to copy specific layers/frames, just shift-mousedown and drag through all layers and images you need.  Don't be shy on the inclusion of the layers and or framework you can remove the latter.  then paste it in a new movieclip.  remove the layers that you don't want.  If you remove all executives of other layers, you must remove the frame of all layers or you will have problems as you described.
