  You can use the data store provider.

  It is documented in the vSphere PowerCLI Administration Guide that was installed with PowerCLI.

  Hi all
  I recently reorganized some of my photo directories, and I just found out that a lot of my photos (thousands of them) files now appear a size = 0.
  I guess that the 'loose' system the link between the file and the data that are certainly still on my drive, and I might be able to recover by one way or another, but how?
  I am running Stellar Phoenix in his "deeper" mode, but it's very, very slow and not very reinsurance for now...
  If any of you have an idea that could help...

  What version of Movie Maker are you using?

  The value default save location for a Movie Maker-.mswmm project file is the 'My videos' folder and the default file name is "untitled.mswmm". Navigate to the following location:
  C:\users\username\My videos

  NOTE: with the extension mswmm files cannot be opened with Windows Movie Maker. You cannot open these files with other programs.

  You can also search files with extension .mswmm using Windows Search.

• Disappearance of files/directories in Vista Business

  Having a problem with 2 laptops of society both business Vista running. They are both issues where random files/folders disappear. In one case, that what is happening on a network share, however the files are on the server, but the laptop is not to see them in Explorer. The other laptop is having this problem within its own file system. The most pressing one is the network share.

  No error message in the event logs. Of Norton AV is up to date and all windows updates have been installed.

  Any help much appreciated.

  Is the laptop computer on a domain or a workgroup? What type of server, the network share is located on?

  Check the following items:

  -Check in SafeMode with networking

  -Check by disabling all security software.

  -Check that you can test with the CMD prompt the remote host (by IP address), and that the host without significant packet loss. If the remote host does not respond, please check the DNS properties on the remote host.

  -Check on the local computer and the remote host there is no software blocking or filtering of communication between computers, local and remote, or material security (firewall / antivirus / router...).

  -Check in the center of network as the network discovery and file sharing is enabled.  Also ensure that the remote registry (run services.msc) service is enabled and started (by default, this service is not started on Vista OS).

  -Make sure that the file and sharing printers for Microsoft networks is enabled on the remote host.

  S ' Please check also that the NetBIOS protocol is enabled in the properties of the remote host's network card.

  Also, try to run the Network Diagnostic tool and check:

  (a), click on Start > Control Panel.

  (b) click network and Internet, click network and sharing Center.

  (c) under network and sharing Center, click on solve the problem.

  I'm changing the ownership of files/directories with a domain network environment. Using takeown /f \\server\share/r/a/dy. It works fine but when I check the property is actually on my administrative account as the owner. I'll need for administrators to be owner and not mine administrative account. Can you please help?

  According to your message you absolutely don't know what directories (void) this is and what software has created this directories.

  I think an application or software that is installed on your laptop can create these files/directories as a windows update does things

  In individual cases, these files/folders are only for temporal use. In this case, you can remove this
  I m using a free tool called CCLeaner. It cleans the registry of BONE and temporal files stored on the HARD disk.

• IX4 - 300 d / General SIN: How can I move large files between different folders?

  My new IX4 - 300 d arrived yesterday

  After doing his RAID-things all night, now I want to move my files from my old NAS to this one.

  I do this using Copy-supported by the ix4 - 300 d, which work fine.

  A big problem for me: I want to reorganize some large files / directories (> 200 GB), so I have to cut and paste the files from one folder to another (all on the ix4 - 300 d, but with different user groups).

  When I move files between subfolders in a folder of the sin, it works fast enough - I think here that the transfer will be treated directly by the nas server.

  When I do the same thing between subfolders in different folders (which appear as various network drives in windows Explorer), it seems that the transfer is managed by my pc or laptop - and it is very slow...

  I tried to move the files on my network environment (all folders are subfolders of a server: ix4 - 300 d) because I thought the problem was in my network mapping, but it does not work faster.

  How will I know my ix4 - 300 d to move the files directly (without the "help" from my pc)?

  Another idea for me was to do it via ftp, but my ix4 - 300 d only refused my connection (have to try a little more)

  I "solved" the problem by creating a copy of the temporary employment with the manual removal of duplicates once the task is completed. The copy job run all night.

  For future problems, I must think of an another "file management".

  I have an Acer laptop under XP SP3.

  I noticed that all the folders and files to the root of my C: drive have a time to "Consulted" from 12:00 as indicated by Windows Explorer in the "Détails" view I looked through many other folders and files on the C: drive, and I have not found those who do not have a 'Consulted' time from 12:00.

  Just below the Figure 3.1, you will see that file directories contains Create Date & time change Date & time, but only access Date (no time).

  I am running XP and some time ago all my apps package (like Firefox and KeePass) show the order of files/directories in the last order of recent use as opposed to alphabetical when I use the sequence file/open. Any suggestions?

  What happens if you go to file... Open and then click the folder directly view menu above your files. You can do a right click and go in the fields that are available, or click on 'name', and it in order.

• Songs will not play, and the files do not exist

  I got a Sansa Fuze 4 GB player in December, and had absolutely no problems with it until about a month. Some of my songs missing out of the folder of music, songs worked, others would be would be somehow in different folders that I did not place them initially. After what happened, I reformatted the player a couple of times, added a few new songs and he played very well for about a week. Then he stopped playing all the songs on it and would just skip through the tracks.

  I had the USB mode in Auto Detect all this time, and I guess that it would automatically pick of the PSG. Whenever I press pause/play as it jumps through songs, the player crashes.  I tried to update the firmware, it did nothing. When I open the folder player in MTP mode and open the press kit, all the folders in it have been duplicated (two 'music', two 'albums', ect...) and but only the files, not the content within them. I deleted ALL this in MTP mode and have since shown no upward. In the file data, both files have been duplicated, and I just deleted the extra pair.

  With the removal of all files, I deleted all the mp3 tracks, but the player still thinks that the files are there. When I checked the player in MSC mode, the files were empty.

  The radio works, it is the only audio running on this player at the moment. File on my music files formats are fine, and I never got a pink bubble telling me that the files are corrupt. I've been reviewing the forums here and I was not able to find a simular like this problem. I'm completely at a loss.

  Try the drive in the settings menu of formatting.  He will wipe away any old files/directories that may be damaged.
