  • File format: transparency and color data separately reading

    I have a problem of reading data through my plugin file format.

    I can read the different layers in the format in color Lab (8-bit) mode.

    There is a transparency mask of the layer (1 byte for each pixel), which is stored just before the image data in the file.

    Currently, I have tried 2 approaches:

    1.

    -TransparencyPlane set of 3

    -LoPlane set, hiPlane to 3

    -ColBytes set 1

    -Value rowBytes to the width of the image

    -Set the data in a buffer with the size of the width of the image

    -read the line of the transparency mask

    -> advanceState gives error (-30500)

    2.

    -transparency mask read in its entirety (I know, bad idea)

    -TransparencyPlane set of 3

    -Set loPlane = 0, hiPlane = 3

    -ColBytes set of 4

    -The value rowBytes image width * 4

    -Set the data in a buffer with the size of the image width * 4

    -read line in a temp file. buffer

    -copy of temp values. buffer and the transparency of each pixel in the data buffer

    -> advanceState ok but not correct image ks in PS

    I think there must be another, better way to apply the transparency mask.

    Thank you for your help...

    Problem solved.

    I forgot to say PS the exact number of planes in the readStart selector.

    Approach 1 was so good.

  • Best line drawing import in InDesign file format

    I was wondering what is the file format accepted and recommended for the files to import into InDesign. I was under the impression that the files I should be saved in EPS, but I just read an article that said that Adobe Dov Isaacs said that the eps will soon be obsolete. What I would do. I work on the curriculum that contains photos and line art and we use for the old tiff and eps for the latter. Most of our line is done in artificial intelligence. Howeverwe have a cartoonist who sends us files in jpg format. What would be the best format to file for him and for us as we draw in artificial intelligence?

    Article link: http://www.prepressure.com/library/file-formats/EPS

    The future of the EPS file format

    EPS quickly became an obsolete file format which is replaced by PDF as PostScript itself is also removed gradually and by PDF. Don't take just my word on that. Dov Isaacs of Adobe said in a discussion on a forum of PrintPlanet on the future of PostScript: ' ... '. Adobe will continue to support the EPS graphic format inherited for import of managed, opaque colors graphic data in applications (such as InDesign and Illustrator) Adobe.  Although some of us recommend that new graphic content be stored in format EPS (except to satisfy the need to import data in the programs layout that are not quite focused on PDF - no need to name names here!), our user base should feel comfortable that there is no need to worry about a need to convert their very important EPS graphic asset libraries. »

    OK, you used my name...

    First of all, I have never said "that EPS will soon be obsolete." I did not use those words explicitly or even implicitly. The legacy implies that this is really not the current workflow favorite, plain and simple.

    Regarding the cartoons, the format used to send the cartoon really depends on how the cartoons are drawn. If the cartoon is physically drawn on paper the pen and hand coloring, then it's probably logical to scan these drawings and save as TIFF, JPEG files scans not! JPEG is frozen and especially poor for what looks like actually to the linework. If the cartoons are drawn in a program such as Adobe Illustrator vector, then the best format to send to you is clear, either PDF or at worst, native Adobe Illustrator (.) Files HAVE).

  • I copied the 2 files to a DVD movie and he changed the .m2ts file format and it is not supported by Windows Media Player. How to convert files in a file type supported?

    Original title: M2TS

    I copied the 2 files to a DVD movie and he changed the .m2ts file format and it is not supported by Windows Media Player.  How to convert files in a file type supported?

    Hello

    The files have already been burned on a DVD and therefore cannot be converted. However, you can download and install third-party codecs to play .m2ts files.

  • The f4v and flv file formats are deleted in CC2014 media encoding. Chapter points are still possible?

    It is a problem, because these two formats seem to be the only file formats that support chapter points.

    How can I add chapter points, or something similar to a video playing in Acrobat Pro?

    What I want is to add triggers for a video, which plays in an Acrobat document, so that the layers are turned on and off during video playback. Moreover, I want to add Javascript to such actions.

    My ultimate goal is to make interactive documents explaining the projective geometry. Theorems are illustrated so much better when you provide them with animations, so that it is clear that some points and lines do not move whien other points and lines are displaced.

    So, basically, I want to have texts, videos that explain and animations consisting of geometric constructions that demonstrate, through animation, invariants of the transformations.

    How is that possible?

    Is there another function in Acrobat Pro XI that makes this possible in a different way?

    Adobe has decided to abandon the FLV and F4V, but all other video formats that include the cue point metadata, so Acrobat is left high and dry does not allow the specification of the Rich Media Annotation in the ISO 32000. You cannot add chapter points in Acrobat unless they exist in the video file, then you will need to use the third-party encoding software (or reinstall an older version of Media Encoder).

  • After Effects CS5 and Sony HDR - SR1 AVCHD (.) MTS file format)

    Hello world

    I just started with After Effects, and I the only video camera I have is an old Sony HDR - SR1 camera, which records in 1080i and uses the AVCHD file format. I recorded some videos, in which I went to try and import them into After Effects. The program came up with this error: "error effects: '0020.MTS' cannot be imported - this".mts"file is damaged or not supported." I understand that this error is quite common, but I do not understand how to fix it. I've tried the Media Encoder, and the videos that come out are videos of nothing like horrible quality than videos recorded on the camera. I also tried included Picture Motion Browser from Sony (I have the latest version) and when I try to convert, the video also released horrible quality always has these annoying lines on the video. Help, please!

    Thank you!

    In fact, EI must recognize the AVCHD video, because I imported one of my recoedings, which is 1080 p MTS to EI, and it worked. Maybe the problem is in 1080i. I still have her deinterlace my 1080i files and then import them to AE. You can try to deinterlace your files and then import them to AE.

    Regarding deinterlacing, you can google or you can give brorsoft mts converter, which I use now to try. It has a codec for AE and Adobe Premiere, wchich make it easier to import files to the AE. In addition, you can convert your 1080i MPEG-2 files and then import them to AE.

  • XLIFF file format and use with JAVA API

    Hello

    We use BEEP version 5.6.3 in Oracle Applications 11.5.10.2 and we are developing some reports to be translated into 10 different languages. We are therefore very interested in XLIFF files but have some questions about the file format and the use of the JAVA API

    (A) FILE FORMAT
    Accuracy: we generate the XLF file in menu add-on BEEP in Winword MS used to build the RTF model
    (A - 1), the generated XLF file begins with:
    <? XML version = "1.0" encoding = "utf - 8"? >
    Can we change encoding to "ISO-8859-1' as soon as convert us the file format?

    A-2) section he < header > < skl > < file > internal - contains a huge chain that seeem to be binary... What is c? can delete us it?

    A-3) can you have a file XLF muliple < file > sections (one for each language translation)?
    This can be very useful for us to manage a translation only by a report model file.

    A-4) the most important section for translation is included in the tag < trans-unit >.
    Each of them has a separate as id "49e41f8f" '... '. Can we replace that with a larger significance?

    (A - 5) in the format of language is as "en-US" (area code + language code).
    It is case sensitive?

    (* B) THE USE OF XLIFF FILES WITH JAVA APIS *.
    We use the OPE "FOProcessor" class to generate the PDF providing:
    -Data generated by SQL report XML file
    -File XSL - FO, generated from the module BEEP in MS WINWORD RTF model
    -XLIFF file generated from RTF model by the module BEEP in MS WINWORD
    -The XLIFF file contains a file entry to translate the form English to French
    < file source = target language language "en-US" = "en - US" datatype = "OPE" original = "orphan.xlf" product-version = "orphan.xlf" - name of the product ="" > "

    Here is a summary of our java implementation class:

    Processor FOProcessor = new FOProcessor();
    processor.setData (sXmlDataFilepath);
    processor.setTemplate (sXslTemplateFilepath);
    processor.setOutput (sPdfOutputFilepath);
    processor.setOutputFormat (FOProcessor.FORMAT_PDF);
    processor.setLocale ("en - US");
    xInputXlfLang = new FileInputStream (sXlfLangFilepath);
    processor.setXLIFF (xInputXlfLang);
    try {}
    Processor.Generate ();
    }
    {} catch (XDOException e)
    e.printStackTrace ();
    }

    (variables beginning with "s" are path + names passed as arguments)

    The output PDF file is well generated, but not translated in French!

    (1) I missed something?
    What is wrong in my code or my XLIFF file?
    Y at - it a parameter to pass to allow the XLIFF translation (via setConfig)?
    With "setLocale" we indicate the target language, but how BEEP knows this current language is "en-US"?

    I found a few posts on the subject, but none with a clear solution. So if I managed to solve this problem, I think it can be very useful for many developers.

    Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hey,.

    I know what you're talking about.

    Do not make the rtf-> xsl in the office.

    Do it in java code.

    Use RTFprocessor, for her, just set the model and set the true extractxliff.

    move the xsl foprocessor.

    to do this

    (1) in the BEEP for MS Word
    1 - a) build the RTF model
    1-c) extract texts translateable to the XLF file

    (2) in BEEP Server (Linux Redhat, BEEP 5.6.3) included with the Oracle Applications 11.5.102
    (2 - a) write a java class that implements class FOProcessor (see code in my first post)
    I'm passing to the FOProcessor class
    -XML data file
    model model XSL - export RTF, file to the XSL using RTFprocessor file save it sub - (here in rtfprocessor.setextractXlifff - true)
    http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/E10415_01/doc/bi.1013/e12693/Oracle/Apps/XDO/template/RTFProcessor.html
    -Translation (via the FOProcessor.setXLIFF method) XLF file
