Find a pdf file...?

How do you find what the resolution is a pdf file?

I am trying to determine if a PDF is printable or not? (As on a printing press.)

Any help is appreciatied.

I use Acrobat Pro v9.1.3

Thank you

Matt

Yes fonts are not affected by the resolution, unless the police are part of an image.

I can't find a pdf file in Firefox. I select the form to change the bar then find menu in the menu dropdown. I then get a research work in the lower part of the right text box but she blushed and does nothing.

When I view the same pdf file in Internet Explorer, it works.

I solved this problem by going to Tools/Options and change the setting of "Adobe Acrobat Document" to "Use Acrobat reader (in Firefox)" to "(by default) use Acrobat Reader.
Sounds illogical to me, but it works.

  • Acrobat Reader DC can open the file of cloud storage? I can't find my pdf file

I can find the pdf file in the cloud for web document service (https://cloud.acrobat.com), but I can't find the link to access the files in the cloud of document with acrobat reader installed in PC desktop DC application.

    Hey brianh58711183,

That is right.  Some of the language versions have all the features. I hope that this problem will be resolved in the future updates. During this time as a workaround, you can try using the English version of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. Alternatively, you can use cloud services to document online at https://cloud.acrobat.com/

  • VISTA - cannot find the pdf files created?

I run Vista Ultimate 32 bit and Acrobat 7.0 standard
When I have a document open for example... I click on print and select PDF Writer (normally) I then have the option the name of the file and go to where I want it to go.
I always choose "desktop" I then click on print... and a popup window then advises:
"For the safety of your computer, this file was saved in the temporary Internet files folder. Do you want to open this folder? »

If I select Yes... it opens the folder, but there is no inside pdf file... If I select No.... I find myself with no file in any case.

Conducting a search of the name file also does not return the location of the files... where the hell VISTA to put the files, and how do I get put them where I select?

  • I can't find my pdf files downloaded to the phone and sd memory card. cannot see in the adobe folder.

Why can't I see my PDFs in phone or sd memory card. I cn see only in the adobe folder but from there I can't make impression on them.

    Help, please.

    Hello

If you are able to locate the mobile depending on the Local storage option of PDF Adobe Acrobat app file if the file is already saved on your phone.

On the Local tab all PDF files that are stored locally are saved with the location of the device.

From there, you can get the location and locate the file with the file on your phone browser.

Let me know if it helps.

    Thank you

  • Cannot find downloaded PDF files

I downloaded several elements; where did they go? These are PDFS. How can I save in a file that I can keep on my desk, but also keep private?

    [Original title: download NIghtmare]

Downloads access your download folder, unless you choose another location.  To open your download folder, go to the desktop and click the icon of the file Explorer in the taskbar, and then choose the downloads folder.

If you want to keep your files private, do not give your password to other people.  Only people with your password can open your files.

If you want someone else to use the computer without giving them your password and files, you can use the guest account.   To activate the guest account open Control Panel and choose "user accounts".

  • How to find my PDF file

I have several PDF documents that are hundreds, sometimes thousands of pages long, and I have to do a lot of research in the (the CTRL + F - function).

When I search some documents, it takes 4 seconds to get through and find what I'm looking for. In other documents, looks like it is scanning each page before you find what I'm looking for. When the document is 3000 pages, this can become quite tedious and boring. Is there a way, I need to save these documents in order to make it a complete search quickly, rather than browsing each page individually? Thank you!

    Hi ajh12345,

Bernd is a really good question. If the PDF contains only the digitized text, it is not searchable by the search engine. If you have Acrobat, you can use the Document > optimized option of PDF scanned for optical recognition of characters (OCR) to make the text searchable. Make sure that make available (apply OCR) is selected in the optimized scanned PDF dialog, and that the main language used is correct (if not, click on edit and choose the appropriate language).

Please let us know if that does the trick!

  • How can I find a PDF file in Firefox 5 running on Mac OS x (10.6)

I recently installed an update and received a message that my PDF Plug In for Firefox would be disabled, but that when the update has been installed the Plug in would be activated. This is not the case.
I am running Firefox 5 on Mac OS x (10.6)

As had been suggested in other places (https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/838551, http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=10944557#p10944557), you could try the Schubert | it PDF Browser plugin, available at
    http://www.Schubert-it.com/pluginpdf/

As an alternative, it seems that you can get the Firefox PDF Plugin for Mac OS X run with a little tweaking: http://hints.macworld.com/article.php?story=20110622163401497

  • Replace PDF files

How is it, my PDF files, which was in Adobe reader and attachments that I receive now come in Microsoft Windows Photo Gallery instead of the Adobe Reader.  That has changed this last week and it baffles me, because I did not change anything.  The files will not open in the photo gallery.  He told me that they are not supported or that I don't have the latest version of photo gallery.  I get updates of Windows, why would not the Windows Photo Gallery updated as well for support files.

I have now, first save the file, and then manually tell it to open in Adobe Reader, when before, all I had to do is click on it.  The files I saved in folders on my desk are also in this new format, rather than the Adobe Reader software, they were always in front.  I don't understand why all these files modified.

    Hello

Find a pdf file if your file system somewhere, or copy a PDF of email to your file system. Right-click on this file and then click Open with...

In the window that result, select Adobe Reader (by clicking it) and check the box "always use the selected program to open this type of file". Click OK.

Or (re-) install the latest version of Acrobat Reader.

    Tricky

  • I can't go back to the page where I convert PDF files.

I'm in a list of my files, and I can't understand how to return to the page where I can convert PDF files to word doc. Can you help me?

    Hi freemulch1516,

If you are connected to http://cloud.acrobat.com, you should see this menu bar:

You're very probably on the files page - this is where you will see your list of files. Click ExportPDF (in blue, above) to find the PDF file > Word conversion options.

  • How can I index PDF files that reside on a Unix server?

I was amazed the week last to discover that our Web site does not support PDF research opportunities. Apparently, we're going to get it soon. But when that day comes, I think we need to index our PDFs. I know I can do it for a Windows Server. But, how can I do to a Unix server?

    Thank you

    Peter

No, not at all. "Indexing" is a stange inconsistent term used for this connection. I guess you really want is a search engine that includes PDF as HTML content. The term 'indexing' might mean 'account with all the text in a file and the addition of words available for research.

Acrobat uses "Indexing" to mean precisely creating a set of files used by Acrobat itself to find several PDF files. But it is a thing of local file, not a web thing. In this way the indexing of PDF files must be used on the web is bad, but also not good.

There are two main approaches to web search engines.

1 premises. Software runs on the local computer and can read the files on the web site. In fact a kind of file, may be called an index. Local software on the web server uses this information to display that you lead.

2 remote connection. Google is a prime example of this. Visits of the websites ("spiders") to play the files, made his own 'index' and the research on the sites.

Google (and other search engines) are often seen only as a means of the world wide web to research. But they can be used to search for single servers in their list of everyone, as in https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=indexing+Pdfs+site%3Aadobe.com

An interesting variation of what was for sale a few years ago, is the "google appliance" for use on private networks (intranets). He was sitting on the local network and done things like google but only with the local network. Then, there was a 'local google' for all local machines.

One last thing: your customers are not likely to find satisfying if she must search for PDF files and the HTML format of research with a different engine.
