  in fact, only the legal owner can install programs.  they cannot (legally) install a copy and 'give' their 2nd legal installation to another party.

Those who are usually a sticker somewhere, but I don't see no sticker with a key Windows, anywhere on the computer or on the packaging. Anyone know how to find the license number?

  Good day and welcome to the community.

  If your machine came with Windows 8/8.1, factory-installed, the license key is embedded in the UEFI/BIOS. As long as you install the same version (Home to home;) or Pro for Pro, the installation process should automatically pick the key.
