Fire Fox no longer save my user name and passowrds

I'm rebuilding my computer after a disk failure.

Fire Fox is more equally will be my log in information for the site I frequent I have to enter the name and password everytime I open a site. Fire Fox some time ask if I want the saved password and I click Yes, but it has no effect on the openings of the future site.

If I look at the passwords saved under Tools/Security/save password to all the sites in question are placed in memory but have no response when I try to open the site.

A second problem. Fire Fox records more recent site opened at the top of the toolbar at the bottom left that ran, Document, programs. It allows to record the last 5 or 6 programs used. Now, he has only HP printer saves.

Websites to remember you and automatically log you in are stored in a cookie.

  • Create a cookie exception allow (Tools > Options > privacy > Cookies: Exceptions) to keep such cookies, especially for sites Web secure and if the cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
  • Private - browsing using Firefox without saving history all cookies are session cookies that expire if this session is over, so sites don't remember you.

Compensation of the "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, windows pop up, installation of software and passwords.

Some sites like PayPal, Yahoo, Windows Live, and bank sites use autocomplete = "off" to prevent Firefox to save and fill in the name and the password.

If a site uses autocomplete = "off" then look at this article for a bookmarklet to remove the attribute autocomplete and Firefox will provide store name and password.

«Some Bank websites do not allow any security information be saved.»
That has been "fixed" in Firefox 32 or 33 - now the "do not save" command on Web pages should not have any effect - Firefox should save the user name and password regardless of what programmers websites want to get (or not).

  • How to register more than one user name and password for a Web site?

First of all, let me say that I am extremely irritated that I just spent 15 minutes written a very detailed question and researching my OS, browser version, etc., as all have cleared because I don't "check" my e-mail address before I started typing my question. Firefox: correct your registration and the issue of the accounting process so that this happens. He should keep your info for a smooth running of the process, after checking. What a waste of time and effort when I'm already frustrated.

REAL QUESTION: I managed two calendars online under a single root URLS (www.samplepage.com/calendar1 and www.samplepage.com/calendar2). My e-mail address is the user for both accounts ID, but passwords are different.

FF used to associate ALL of the URL of your user name and password, but now it combines only the root (www.samplepage.com). So, for me, will remember only one password.

How can I get to remember TWO passwords?

    Thank you!

This is not possible with the Firefox password manager. You can only save a user name and password once for a specific field, so if the name is the same then it does not work.

  • FF maintains user names and password. There are saved but do not work on a second opening of FF

When I started using a given FF web page asks if I want to save the user name and password. I select Yes and they are stored in the tools options passwords but most will not work on a second opening the page. E Bay is the only one that works.

I have removed everything several times and still wonder if I want to save the UN and PW but again, they do not work.

However when I type the first letter of my United Nations he suggests the full name and fills the password. So I know that information is stored is simply not provide as expected.

There is a difference between remembering the name and the password in the password manager and a check box "remember me" on a web page.

The latter usually involves the creation of a special "remember me" cookie that is stored on your computer and which is sent to the server.

If that "remember me" cookie is deleted or is corrupted or is not send to the server, then the server remember that you and you must connect once again.

Websites to remember you and automatically log you in are stored in a cookie.

    • Create a cookie exception allow (Tools > Options > privacy > Cookies: Exceptions) to keep such cookies, especially for sites Web secure and if the cookies expire when Firefox is closed.

Make sure that you run not Firefox in private browsing mode.

Compensation of the "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, windows pop up, installation of software and passwords.

Hello. I don't use my thunderbird email in a long time and can't remember my user name or password if I remember my email address. How can I connect?

Your user name is all or part of your e-mail address.
The user name and the password is given with your email provider. You need to communicate with them.
Most providers have a password reset link on their page for help by e-mail.

  • HP printer requires a user name and password

My wireless HP Deskjet F4583 printer does wonders with my Windows XP.

Now, we have all upgraded to Windows 7 (very grumpy - everything works perfectly on XP)

Tried feel secure by the wireless network ('I have' put in place) and suddenly get this:

"10.0.0.3:80 server requires a user name and password.
The server said: printer HP Networking @. »

    followed by the appropriate fields.

    So now what?

Since when was a user name / password available - believe me I would have tried to omit creating the network - we do not have time to 'play' with our gadgets. We just expect that they can operate with minimum fuss.

    Help, please...

    Hi WJacobson,

This printer does not require a username or password to print on it as long as it is connected to your wireless network. From what you explain, it sounds like the user name and password information required for access to your network. Follow the steps outlined in the document below to make sure everything is configured properly.

    Hello

    Reinstall vista

I'm sorry, but the strategy of microsoft in these forums is that without assistance will be given about lost or forgotten passwords

read the policy at the link below

Here are the different ways to reinstall vista

Contact the computer manufacturer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

they do it for a nominal cost of $

also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought

you would normally press F10 or F11 or Alt + F10, 0 at startup to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer

Ask them of the exact key sequence

or borrow a microsoft dvd vista

Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer

they contain all versions of vista

This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed
