Firefox, adobe flash player needs update when it is not

I am running Firefox desktop 35.0.1. I have Adobe flash player installed 16.0.0.235, which is practically the last version, but for Firefox tells me that I should update the plugin and "Always enable" is greyed out. This means that I have to manually turn on the flash on any page I visit which it executes.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks sam, what it seems that this is supposed to be so this could not explain the source of the problem unfortunately.
Another thing to try is to force a reload of the red list since the mozilla servers. to https://wiki.mozilla.org/Blocklisting/Testing#Forcing_a_Blocklist_Ping , it is explained how to do this.

    Hi Alison68,

Welcome to the responses of Microsoft Windows Vista forums.

Adobe Flash Player is a software for viewing animations and movies using computer programs such as a web browser; in common usage, Flash lets you put animation and movies on a web site. Flash Player runs SWF files that can be created by the Adobe Flash authoring tool, Adobe Flex or by a number of other Macromedia and third-party tools. The Flash Player has been designed to display 2D vector animation, but since become appropriate to create rich Internet applications and streaming video and audio. It uses vector graphics to minimize the file size and create files save bandwidth and loading time. Flash is a common format for games, animations, and GUIs embedded in web pages. Flash Player is available as a plugin for recent versions of browsers web (such as Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Safari and Internet Explorer) on selected platforms. Adobe States that each version of the plugin is backward compatible, with the exception of security changes introduced in Version 10.

  • Is Adobe Flash Player background Updater for Mac still available?

Hello, this is Adobe Flash Player background Updater for Mac available again?  We are terribly need this in our laboratories.

Yes, the background update should work on Mac.  I certainly see Akamai traffic indicates that the update of background on Mac is picking up installers.

Install the latest betaand be sure to select always allow Adobe to install the updates.

Also, you generally won't see an update until the browser restarts, because the plug-in running is still in memory.  If you run into this in an environment of automation, you regularly want to relaunch the browser.

If you're still not updated, I would like to do a complete uninstall and reinstall everything first.  If you're still stuck, let me know and I'll help you troubleshoot it with you.

You have probably installed a 64 bit version of Flash for Firefox plugin.

Firefox is a 332-bit application, so you need 32-bit versions of a plugin to make it work.

You can find the 32-bit version of the Flash Player installer for a 32-bit version of Firefox here (scroll down to Flash Player (32-bit)):

  • Adobe Flash Player for Mozilla (ver.30) will not download

Then Mozilla 'Check your Plugins for updates' determines that the shock wave Flash Player Flash must update and sending me to Adobe to get updates (14.0.0.125)... DOES not depend on what link I click on the is I have the option to install McAfee* (not * or GoogleChrome * + w (No * + is not *) *.) Then I have a 'install it now' button to click, which will ask you to save the file (stops as <install_flashplayer14x32ax_gtbd_chrd_dn_aaa_aih.exe> for downloading 'Google' options)... (stops as <install_flashplayer14x32_mssd_aaa_aih.exe> for "McAfee" options dnld).

When I type "run", the Adobe Flash Player installer window opens... (a small window, only to see the progression, I guess) and just sits there, white... forever... doing nothing - until I have * ctrl + alt + delete , end the process (the only way to stop it*)... and when I checked, went to the "registered" file as well.

I WAS * to finally upgrade my Adobe PS (for Internet Explorer * only) with a link m_vargas was kind enough to send (after I posted in the wrong sector/debate), so I'm posting my Mozilla problem here (hoping that this is the right place to post the question).

I'm currently experimenting on another page, trying to find the page, the link, the name of the file that contains the options "McAfee"... (but in the end, he does exactly the same thing and will not be updated either). Of course, I'm not the only one who has this problem, but I do not see other messages concerning a problem of 'Mozilla' like that... maybe I'm in the wrong place.

... ok... the 'Google' link just of using IE Tab options or by using IE itself is to make to "http://get.adobe.com" "... while link/options"McAfee"comes to using Mozilla to join the"http://get.adobe.com"" " page."             BUT like I said... OR / link to the results page to get FP set to level.

AND *, make the "clean install" gave rise to ALL * of my saved Flash player versions get annihilated... GONE *... from my computer.

So I hope that someone knows m_vargas, or is as smart as they seem to be and don't know a "Good" link for the update of MOZILLA FP (either Flas * or ShockWave...) I finally read somewhere that they are the same... *).

    Thank you

  • Adobe Flash Player 11.6 installed but will not stay? What is the cause of the problem? F

I install Adobe Flash Player 11.6, remained on during about a day, but started coming out. I've been through troubleshooting it and told me I had to recharge it. First to unload the Active X I did, then I reinstalled Adobe Flash Player, but it still does not work... What must I do to make it work?

Adobe Flash Player is already preinstalled with Windows 8. Updates to it should be done through Windows Update.

  • Adobe Flash Player installed, but the content does not work

Adobe Flash Player works once I install it, but then evenually he stops working. I tried many methods of support, including downloading the tool from Microsoft to fix permission errors. I use Windows Vista Home Premium and the latest version of Adobe Flash Player.

Somewhere, I noticed that there is an old thread like this with someone who has the same problem. I knew someone who responded showed a screenshot of what the permissions for the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT should look like. Interestingly, they don't seem to match.

Internet Explorer version 7.0.6001.18000 and I get a red x in the upper part of the about dialog internet explore that opens when you click on this function.  That is what it is?

    halcook,
see if the following applies to your system whereas you are referring to the last update of the .NET Framework:
An update for .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 is available

Then, if this does not work, see if a system restore will solve your situation:

    The System Restore tool

If the problem you are experiencing started occurring recently, you can use the System Restore tool. Using this tool, you can restore the computer to an earlier point in time. The tool using System Restore may not necessarily help you determine the problem. When you use system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, the programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

To restore the operating system to an earlier point in time, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start, type system restore in the search box, and then click System Restore in the list programs. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.
    2. In the System Restore dialog box, click on choose a different restore point and then click Next.
    3. In the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.
    4. Click Finish.

The computer restarts and system files and settings are back to the State they were in when the restore point was created.

If infact know you, it is an update that has caused this, then follow these steps to install an update at a time until find you that one might be:

Click on start-> all programs-> Windows Update, click on change settings in the left menu. Select download updates but let me choose whether to install them, click OK. When you are alerted to install a new update, in this window, click updates see, uncheck all updates and select one at a time, install it, restart your computer, test and update. When you find the update either continue to ignore, look for it at http://support.microsoft.com/

  • I have installed adobe flash player 10, but when I click on a game out of facebook, it doesn't work!

Games will not play with the flash drive

You use the 64-bit version of Win7? If so, the problem I got was the error Flash not supported for 64-bit web browsers.  My Win7 Pro came with an IE 64-bit and a 32 bit IE. Flash works fine in the 32-bit version.  Open your IE8 and in the toolbar select Help and is about to see what version you use.  You can pin a link of the 32-bit version of your taskbar.
