Firefox crashes after update of Adobe REader XI (11.0.02) windows

I applied an update of windows 7 a few days ago and so far I have not really used Firefox a lot. But now I started it up, and he gave me a crash report.

What should do? I tried to reinstall it 2 times. Time with the deletion of data and once with the non deletion of data.

I tried your beta version of Firefox. No luck.

This problem got resolved with the last Windows Update!

Anyone?

Recommended Firefox that I update to Adobe Reader DC of Adobe Reader XI, which was installed on my computer when I bought it.  But Adobe Reader DC was originally software conflicts, so I uninstalled and downloaded Adobe Reader XI.  However, I can not install Adobe Reader XI because it keeps asking me for the serial number.  Please don't tell me that Adobe Reader XI does not require a number series (as someone said on the Forum), because I continue to have asked for a serial number.

Thank you for the screenshot.  The title line of the installation panel shows clearly that you want to install Acrobat Standard XI, not the Software Adobe Reader.

So I pourrait have understood what is happening. On the bug report, it indicates that the deactivation of media.windows - media - foundation.enabled would relieve this crash report. Curious about this, I checked to see if a pref existed. He did not. Of course, I was running nothing else than to the pre-commercial versions of Firefox (nightly, Aurora) and I couldn't find the darn pref.

    Guess what? 29.0.1 has it.

    2. don't you make changes on the computer before the show?

  • Allow a standard user to install software designated as updates of Adobe reader with group policy

    Hello

I have the users configured as standard users to prevent them from installing unapproved software.

This causes problems with products such as java and adobe reader running automatic updates.  We then get cranky users because they are prompted to install the update and approval from the administrator.

Is it possible with group policy to allow pre-approved software to install as update of adobe reader?

    Thank you

System restore steps according to the info above.

    Also:

    2. click on start > right click on computer > properties > Windows updates down the lower left corner > updates installed in the lower left corner in the next window

  • I can't update my adobe reader software, I get an error message 1606 appdata.

    Hi rainwater63,

This problem may occur if there is an incorrect setting in one of the following registry subkeys:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: 322756 How to back up and restore the registry in Windows

Check the Microsoft KB article below which talks about a similar issue with Microsoft programs. You can give it a try and check if it works.

You receive an "Error 1606" error message when you try to install or remove a program from Microsoft
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/886549

If the step above does not resolve the issue, I would say that you install the Windows install cleanup, then run the cleanup utility from the start menu and then remove the entries for the software, and then restart the computer for the changes to take effect and now try to reinstall the software and check.
