  OK, so, this problem has nothing to do with modules or extensions. I tried everything to implement options to stop bing to appear in a new tab when I opened. Then I went on other options. Here is how I fixed it.

  Open a new tab and in the address bar type: subject: config, click the button that says: I promise I'll be careful. in the search bar, type: newtab is the third option down that says searchinnewtabeenabledbyuser. Double-click on it and where it says 'true', ' false '. Restart firefox. your problem should be solved. Hope this helps other users of firefox extremely frustrated. Mozilla! Wake up! No one like bing!

  When I open a new tab, there are three some preview thumbnails that are always empty, and there is no way I can make them appear again. They didn't work at first, but at some point the three extracts disappeared and never returned.
