Firefox won't start on my home page selected.
Regardless of all the settings and troubleshooting I found in the Firefox support, whenever I open Firefox, it goes back to my last session. Sometimes it opens several tabs, even if only one tab is open in the last session. When this happens, the main tab opens correctly and additional tabs just turn on "loading". My selected homepage is currently https://www.google.com, but no matter how I put it. What is going on?
The details of your Question > Details of the most illustrious system an optional parameters file named file user.js in your profile (personal settings folder) folder.
Firefox uses the settings in this file at startup to override your preferences since the previous session. For some strange reason, a command to restore your previous session often is found in this file.
Unless you have created the user.js file yourself, you can remove it. There is a section in the following article on how to do it: How to fix preferences that will not save.
Note: by default, Windows hides the .js file extension. To work with files as accurately as possible, I suggest you to have Windows display all file extensions. This Microsoft support article has the steps: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/wi.../show-hide-file-name-extensions.

Firefox does not start on the home page. She begins the last tabs always open
I confirmed my options are set to open Google as my homepage, but after the restart, Firefox opens to the last open tab in place. A previous, now archived, thread shared this response: try to open the user.js file. For me, it was only a single line, which was user_pref ("browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once", true);. Once I deleted the file, everything is back to normal. However, I can't understand where that file user.js is and I tried to look for it, nothing helps. Help is appreciated. Thank you.
The subject: config, make sure to separate words and config with a colon (:) whereas Firefox recognizes as a page internal.
After the release of Firefox, make sure it comes out completely? To do this, please see the the Windows Task Manager, which you can open by using Ctrl + SHIFT + ESC.
- The Applications tab should display all open windows, which likely will be closed. If the tab displays a Firefox window that you cannot access, could be "off screen".
- The processes tab will initially list firefox.exe, which should gradually free up memory and eventually disappear (for me, the time to do varies according to how long Firefox was running and the amount of memory that he used).
I don't know what you mean by restoring to an earlier version. I wouldn't use Windows System Restore feature to do this, as it might wipe out these latest bookmarks, etc.. If you want to experiment with different versions of Firefox, see this article for download and use clean reinstall procedure: install an older version of Firefox.

Today, I had a lot of trouble with my computer. I think that he was attacked by something underhanded, but I managed to stop it and fix everything. Everything about this thing.
When I open the firefox browser, it will not automatically to my home page, despite having followed all the instructions to do this. Instead, it opens in an engine search called 'awesomehp' that, previously, never heard and never installed. When I click on the 'home' - button, it goes to my real home page, and everything is ok.
I tried to uninstall it... "awesomehp" engine of research, but it ALWAYS appears automatically when I open FireFox. Why? And this is even after I have reset FireFox settings by default once.
Why this happens, and what can I do about it?
Looks like you picked up a pirate of the page. See this for help to get rid of it:

Ah! I see something!
Your troubleshooting information, says that there is a file user.js in your profile folder
The user.js file appears only if you or another software created, therefore, normally, he wouldn't be here.
The user.js file is read whenever you launch Firefox and initializes the preferences to the value specified in this file.Delete a possible user.js file and files numbered prefs-# .js and rename (or delete) the file prefs.js to reset all the prefs by default, including the prefs set via user.js and pref which is no longer supported in the current version of Firefox.
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:- Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: see file (Linux: open the directory;) Mac: View in the Finder)

Rename (or delete) the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-# .js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox profile folder.

Is it possible to prevent Firefox for Mobile sync my laptop home page
I have Firefox 4 in my partition Ubuntu my laptop and Firefox 5 on side Windows Vista from this partition.
I don't have intalled Firefox for Mobile on my phone yet, but I like the idea. However the home page I have Ubuntu as actually a collection of three pages, and I don't really want to not use on any other device. I really want to visit one of these three pages on my phone.
Which option would prevent me sync my homepage?
Where can I find this option?
What is the best device to access since? There are services.sync.prefs.sync associated with which to synchronize prefs prefs and you can set the pref services.sync corresponding to false to prevent the synchronization of this preference.
You can set the services.sync.prefs.sync.browser.startup.homepage pref to false on the subject: config page.
See:
To open the topic: config page, type Subject: config in the address bar (address) and press the 'Enter' key, as you type the url of a Web site to open a Web site.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access this page.- Use the filter at the top bar of the on: page config to more easily spot a preference.
- Preferences that have changed see the bold (user set).
- Preferences you can restore the default value or change via the context menu.

Hi macanudo,.
You should look at this article on this specific issue and Preferences not savedarticle. It could be a problem of pref.js, so the second article should fix your problem with the search bar. It should give you all the information you need!
If this does not work:
- Enter about: config in the address bar
- Click I'll be careful, I promise you if prompted
- In the filter field, type Startup
- Double click on startup.homepage_override_url
- Delete the text string, and then click OK
- Close Firefox and reopen the window to check that it worked.
Hope this helps!
