  Once you have registered the product, you should not see the banner of 'Trial' on NEW projects. This isn't the case, right? You only see on the project that you created before you register the product, right?

  That said, to remove the banner, go to the folder of directory on your hard drive where your project PREL files are stored and delete the folder called Adobe Premiere elements preview files.

  Have you tried the Task Manager to end? Right-click on the taskbar and select Start Task Manager. Locate the application and click on end task (at the bottom of the page). I wonder if it's a piece of malware running, or even a virus. If it will not be closed, or starts just backup again, consider using these scanners:

When I drag the video to the timeline on the audio past it's own track... but they are not related. When I select both and you are trying to link the media option is grayed out.   Hi Kevin... No, this isn't the problem. I had problems with it when I started but soon learned this lesson! When I drag the images into the audio going successfully its own corresponding track. BUT they are not related, and there is no way to connect.

  I have re-opened several projects which certainly have all the clips and audio related. Now, they are not. NONE of them.

  Should I try a reinstall of first?

  The only thing I can think of that is changed is I ran a scan in depth with anti-virus this morning and he threw a BUNCH of infected files. Which could be related?

  Jason2494 you want to use the Activity Monitor/Task Manager to close the adversarial process.  What operating system do you use?  You can also try restarting your computer and then try to apply the update again.

  What graphics card you are using for first Pro CS5?

  Check your graphics card driver.

  Also check your Blackmagic Decklink Extreme driver 3D.
  Blackmagic Decklink are a few problems with Adobe CS5, update the drivers.

  You can do one thing more you can low res reading. (New in CS5)

  Maybe you'll be able to do a job now.
